Llanes, Farmhouse, full nature.

We (myself, spouse, and children 18 and 14 years old) spent 5 nights here in June 2024. It was a wonderful experience. Marta and her family made us feel at home and the location of the house was a peaceful respite to kick off our 20-day vacation. We cooked all 5 nights and found the kitchen to be very well equipped. While the house is remote, several supermarkets are within a 20 minute drive. It was particularly interesting to learn about and eat/drink the chorizo, cheese, and cider they produced. Big thanks to Marta and family for helping to make our vacation memorable. I highly recommend!

Hmmm…let me count the ways we loved staying here…having the honor of sharing their first Cider pour of the season…talking to their sheep and cows as we walked around the farm, watching their smart as a whip pup (Kira?) work, getting our dog fix with lots of pup petting, sitting in front of the fire as we listened to the rain…getting glimpses of their inspiring family enjoy life…and on and on to probably INFINITY…Marta, John and the entire family made our stay an “endorphin high”….ps Marta provided so many tips for places to eat and visit..like having a travel guide!!

This is our third stay at this farmhouse in Asturias - it is truly an amazing, special place. Beautiful and peaceful scenery, comfortable well-equipped house, and the nicest hosts. Marta, Juan, and family have been so welcoming and kind. We are already looking forward to when we might be able visit again!

La Portilla is the perfect destination for combining activities like hiking canoing and relaxing at the beach. At our time at Portilla every body of our 5 person familiy aged between 3 and 54 years, found somthing fitting to its interests. The children enjoy the farm with the animals and the sea and my wife and me investigated the mountains and its incountable little trails and routes. Best place to regularly return enjoy the welcoming atmosphere and forgett about the all day routine. Olga, Sven, Sarah, Joshi, Ruth

We had a very good stay. Beautiful location, wonderful hosts. Ideal location if you have a car at your disposal (beach, mountains, cities).

This property was amazing! Conveniently located between the Pico de Europa's and the Cantabria Sea; the house was perfect with beautiful views from every window of the house. The farm setting was ideal for sitting outside enjoying coffee in the mornings, to hiking up the mountain from the road right outside the door. The family was super nice and welcoming. We would highly recommend and hope to return.

A wonderful old farmhouse situated in a wonderful landscape and with very nice hosts.

We had a wonderful time. Walking, swimming, looking at birds, exploring the villages and towns , eating and drinking - all wonderful in Asturias. The host family were delightful and so helpful. A perfect holiday.
