Stayed Dec 29, 2024We hosted our niece, her husband and 4 children at the Manor between Christmas and New Year's. From the moment we approached the house, the lighted garlands on the porch railings the warm porch lights and the lighted Christmas tree inside hinted to us that this was a special place. Indeed, it was. The home was sparkling clean, the rooms were beautifully appointed with contemporary and antique furnishings, and the amenities exceeded our expectations. The Gathering Room was a favorite spot with ample space and chairs for dining, and the separate cottage became the children's go-to space. The master bedroom and bath were awesome, and the kitchen with granite counters and 6-burner gas stove was fun to use. Hotel quality containers of shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion in the bathrooms pampered everyone. The tranquillity of beautiful lawns, gardens and woods were accompanied by the lovely buff colored free-range chickens that appeared as if on command. The hosts were incredibly responsive, answering questions within minutes. We couldn't have had a better experience. We all skied Roundtop Resort two days in a row, and the 7-minute drive there was effortless.We highly recommend the Manor on Sawmill for a couple a family, or friends.
