Background on Naples
Naples is a beautiful city that is located in Collier County, Florida. The population here as of 2015 was just shy of 21,000. Naples is the principal city of the Naples – Marco Island, Florida Metro area. This metro area has a population of around 323,000 people. Naples is located in Southwest Florida on U.S. Highway 41. There is the Clam Pass – Beach Park, Delnor – Wiggins Pass State Park, Lowdermilk Beach Park, Vanderbilt Beach, Seagate Beach and the North Gulfshore Boulevard Beach just to name a few.
Things to do in Naples
There are plenty of things to do here in Naples if you are looking to get out and explore a little. You can take a trip to Third Street South which is referred to as the birthplace of Naples. This area features plenty of shops, restaurants and bistros. The landscape here is simply amazing. You can also head over to Lowdermilk Park. This beachfront park has it all if you are looking for outdoor activities to enjoy with family and friends. This park has sand volleyball courts, playgrounds, picnic tables and a view of the Gulf of Mexico that is picture perfect. If you are looking to get married in Naples and want a beach wedding then look no further. At Lowdermilk Park you can rent one of their beautiful gazebos and have your wedding right on the beach. Naples Pier is another amazing place to check out if you are into sightseeing. This pier can be found on the Gulf at the West end of 12th Avenue South. Here you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Gulf of Mexico and take as many photos as you would like. If you get hungry there is a concession stand with a covered eating area for you to enjoy your food in.
