This classic Upper Peninsula multi-sport camp has everything outdoor enthusiasts look for. The 40-acre property is completely surrounded by seemingly endless state land in every direction. The Tioga River runs through the property, while snowmobile and ATV trails also pass directly through it. The area offers excellent grouse, woodcock, and bear hunting, along with a strong track record for whitetail deer. Moose are frequently seen walking past the cabin, and the surrounding state land features several open-water wetlands within walking distance that are ideal for trapping and waterfowl hunting. Just a short drive away are several lakes, including Lake Michigamme, known for some of the best walleye fishing in the state. The cabin itself is a quality throwback to the traditional hunting c amps of the past. Off-grid and heated with wood, it features two bedrooms, a large common area, kitchen, screened porch, and an outhouse. There is also an unfinished sauna room off the porch. The camp is set up to run on a generator, and there is a point well on the property, though its condition is unknown. The seasonal access road doubles as an ATV trail, and in winter it becomes an ungroomed snow trail, providing year-round recreational access options. The Tioga River continues through the property on its way to the Sturgeon River and is reported to offer excellent brook trout fishing. The river also provides paddling opportunities, although some sections can be shallow and strewn with boulders. For additional recreation, the North Country Trail passes just a few miles north of the property, and Craig Lake State Park is nearby, offering some of the best hiking in the state.
