Chandler is located in Maricopa County, Arizona. Chandler is a prominent suburb of the Phoenix, Arizona Metropolitan Statistical Area. According to the United States Census Bureau from 2015 the population here in Chandler is a little more than 260,000. Chandler is approximately 58 square miles and only a tiny portion of that is water. The climate here in Chandler varies throughout the year. Intel, which is a computer chip manufacturing company has four locations in the municipal area. One of these factories is soon going to be the first environmentally sustainable facility in the area. Since the early 2000’s nearly 3,000 investments and jobs that totaled a little more than $3 billion have been created in the area. There are a few other major companies that are headquartered here in Chandler and the surrounding areas. InfusionSoft, which is an email and marketing company for small businesses, Rogers, which is a speciality engineered materials company as well as Microchip Technology which is a micro-controller manufacturer are all headquartered here in Chandler. Besides these three major businesses there is also Bashas’ which is family owned grocery store which can be found throughout the Arizona area. The headquarters for Bashas’ is located a little bit outside of the Chandler confines in Maricopa County which is an unincorporated section of Arizona. There are also several malls here in Chandler as well. These malls draw tourists in from all over due to the sheer size of them. The largest mall in the area is the 1,300,000 square foot Chandler Fashion Center. This mall has more than 180 shops and three anchor stores and a movie theatre. These anchor stores are Nordstrom, Macy’s and Dillards and the theatre is the Harkins Movie Theatre. This theatre is a popular spot here in Chandler among the younger crowd.

The Arizona Railway Museum is the perfect place to bring your kids if they love trains. Besides the Railway Museum there are also a few dog parks in the area for you to take your four legged friends to. These dog parks feature things like seesaw’s, balance beams, drinking fountains (for the dogs as well as the humans) and even a fake fire hydrant at the Snedigar location. This park is great if you are looking to get out and stretch your legs for a little with your pet.
