The winter months on the other hand tend to be much shorter, cool and windy. The cool season here in League City lasts for a little less than three months. This school district also serves portions of other municipalities such as Pearland, Pasadena, Houston and Friendswood which is located in Harris County. Within this incredibly large school district there are 26 elementary schools, 10 intermediate schools and 5 high schools. There are also three alternative schools here as well bringing the grand total to 44 schools. There is also two private schools here and they are the “Bay Area Christian School” which is for kids in grades kindergarten through eighth as well as the “St. Mary School” which is a Roman Catholic school for kids in grades kindergarten through eighth.

The “Boundless Playground” is a playground for the more than 3,600 children with disabilities that live here in League City. This park is a place where parents can take their children to play in a fun and welcoming environment. There is also “Bayridge Park Playground” which features a softball field, basketball court and a playground area for the little kids.
