These include Lake Mary Elementary School, Crystal Lake Elementary, Greenwood Lakes Middle School and Lake Mary High School. Public primary and secondary education is administered by Seminole County Public Schools. For college education, residents are served by the University of Central Florida and Seminole State College of Florida.
Major attractions in and around Lake City include the Church of the Nativity, Daytona Beach, Orlando Science Center and Disney attractions.
