The Alliance is a local non-profit organization that is planning and overseeing a 60-mile network of multi-use trails and green space around Woodstock. This is in addition to the impressive public parks that are already in existence. Dupree Park features a large playground, tennis courts basketball courts, a walking trail, and a fishing pond. The Park at City Center features a gazebo, war memorial, and the iconic park fountain.
The Park at City Center is also the home to one of Woodstock’s longest running and most popular music events, the Woodstock Concert Series. First launched in 1998, the series attracts some of the biggest musical acts around for free family friendly concerts.
Fans of the visual and performing arts will be drawn to Elm Street, which is downtown Woodstock’s thriving arts center which offers exhibits and art installations year-round. There is also plenty to enjoy in the performing arts, including live stage plays, musicals as well as classes in drama, music, and the arts.
