Arizona winters are very mild and comfortable which is great since the summers tend to be extremely hot. Since this is a desert community it does not tend to rain a lot here.

The reports claim that Gates plans to build a “smart city” by the name of Belmont. The area the Gates purchased has had several different plans for development since the 90’s but no projects ever materialized for one reason or another. When development gets under way you can expect to see 3,800 acres of office, retail and commercial space. 3,800 acres of industrial space, 3,400 acres of open space that will most likely be later developed into some sort of park as well as 470 acres for various schools. The rest of the land will be used for residential units. Some reports are saying that close to 80,000 homes will be built in this “smart city.” This development will not only boost the local economy, it will also be one of the first “smart cities” in the United States.
