Welcome to the “Barnhaus.” This newly built home was designed for family gatherings as well as quiet and relaxed getaways. This house is located on a quiet cul-de-sac surrounded by green space. The back deck looks out onto a forested green space with a creek. It is a wonderful extension of the home to relax, bird watch, or sit in the shade on a warm day. The large windows and natural lighting in the home are spectacular.brbrInternet Service: High Speed Ultra up to 400 Mbps.brbrFloor Plan:brThis wonderfully designed and furnished home has an open floor plan between the kitchen, family room and dining area. The family room is the perfect gathering spot with large windows that look out into the trees, a fireplace, and Samsung Smart TV. The three bedrooms consist of two main level bedrooms (master and guest), and the loft that serves as the third bedroom with game-bonus room area, two full baths, laundry room, front deck, large back deck with furniture, and a garage. The beds accommodate 8 people. Master bedroom with master bathroom has a king size bed with Samsung Smart TV. Guest room has a queen size bed with Samsung Smart TV. The third bedroom/loft has two sets of bunk beds (twin on top and full on bottom), with a Samsung Smart TV, with games in the loft closet. brbrKitchen:brThis modern and functional kitchen has granite counters, large farm sink, duel fuel range, microwave, and refrigerator with ice maker. Large pantry/closet off the kitchen allows for plenty of storage and there is an extra refrigerator in the garage to store food and drinks. The kitchen contains dishes, utensils, serving dishes, cookware, baking dishes, hand mixer, toaster and coffee maker. There is a nice Weber propane BBQ in the garage for barbecuing out front. brbrChildren:brChildren are welcome. Please note that we do not provide a baby-gate, high chair, or porta-crib. The master bedroom is the only room large enough to set-up a porta-crib. Children need to be supervised on the decks so as not to climb the deck railings. In addition, please be aware of the pony wall in the loft. Please review the rental agreement. The house is on a perfect street for children to play and ride their bikes out front. brbrNO Pets -- Sorry!brNO Parties or EventsbrbrExtras: brEnjoy a bonfire on the beach using the firewood stacked in the garage. There are beach chairs in the garage to use at the beach or outside at the house. The deck is furnished with Adirondack chairs and end tables. Beach towels are also provided.brbrLocal Attractions:brOur beautiful beach is a seven mile stretch from the base of Neahkahnie Mountain to the Nehalem Bay Jetty. At low tide you can walk to the tide pools at the base of Neahkahnie Mountain. A short walk along the beach will take you to Manzanita's main street - Laneda Avenue. There you will find charming shops, excellent restaurants, two grocery stores, bakeries, coffee shops and public restrooms. A few miles south will bring you to the towns of Nehalem and Wheeler. These quaint towns offer more dining options, great antique shops, quilt store and access to the bay and river for fishing, crabbing, and kayaking. brbrNearby Attractions:brThere are great hiking trails on Neahkahnie Mountain and nearby Oswald State park. The surfers go to Short Sands Beach. Visit the many State Park beaches along 101. Kayaking on Nehalem River and in Nehalem Bay. Ride your bikes on the trails in nearby Nehalem State Park, through town, or on other biking routes. Nehalem State Park also offers a beautiful beach with sand dunes. There is a local golf course in Manzanita. Whale watching is twice a year late December through early January and late March through early May. The nearest whale watching spot is at the Neahkahnie Mountain view point on 101.brbrCome stay for a few nights or spend a week and make the "Barnhaus" part of your beach getaway in Manzanita on the Oregon Coast.br
