Located right across the street from The Four Seasons~ Rancho Encantado, this casita is nestled into the foothills and has a stunning large main patio which expands the entire length of the house. It’s fabulous! Both bedrooms are very spacious. The master has a south-facing window wall, kiva fireplace (with romantic candles to use instead of firewood due to carpeting) and a screen door to the main patio which affords gorgeous mountain views. The guest bedroom has french doors (also with screen doors) that open onto a gorgeous private patio with it's own seating area and outdoor kiva fireplace (firewood included) Both bedrooms have extremely comfy carpeting and beautiful, recently renovated bathrooms complete with travertine shower walls and stone countertops. The living room has a cozy corner kiva fireplace, wood beams and has floor to ceiling windows with exquisite mountain views from all. There is a beautiful 3 cushion leather sofa, 2 comfy leather chairs and a bench seat (banco) by the fireplace. The kitchen is fully appointed, with manufactured stone counter tops, floor tile and stainless steel appliances. The kitchen is fully stocked including cooking oils, sugar, spices …everything for your cooking needs. There is also a kitchen bar with 2 bar stools along with a cozy dining room, although the outside dining table is 'the' place to savor any homemade or take out meals! All the unusual furnishings, original southwest art and unique, decorative accessories have all been hand-selected by the owner’s mother and by the owner herself, who's a decorator who had a 34 year business in the Vail Valley of Colorado. Great location for nature lovers as well, as we are within easy distance of hiking, biking, skiing/boarding, snowshoeing, rock climbing, river rafting, ballooning, fishing, bird watching and more! In fact, you can hike or bike right out of the front door.brbrLocated approximately 17 miles north of Santa Fe plaza near the Nambé Church, this guest house to a private residence has its own entrance, a walled patio and covered portal. From the outdoor areas, enjoy dramatic sunset views over a nearby mesa and the Jemez Mountains beyond and later study the stunning nighttime skies. Additional outdoor areas include a picnic area under an old apricot tree and a seating area along the Acequia del Caño. There are two off-street parking spaces.brbrThe casita has vigas and saltillo tile floors throughout and is decorated in Santa Fe country style with antiques, original art, tribal rugs, and quilts. The main living area has a seating nook with two bancos, a dining area, wood burning kiva fireplace and full kitchen. There is a separate bedroom, bath with tub and shower and a laundry area. The bedroom has a queen sized “Doctor’s Choice” bed and the two bancos can be comfortably converted to twin beds to accommodate up to 3 people. 100% cotton linens and fluffy towels are provided. The kitchen is stocked for basic cooking and has a microwave, coffee maker, electric tea pot, blender and attractive china and serving ware for six.brbrWe provide complimentary tea and coffee. During the season, we will be happy to share the bounty from our no-chemical kitchen garden with you.brbrThis is a comfortable and delightful retreat for the daytime explorer. The third level houses the master bedroom and opens to the back deck for complete privacy while the second level offers two additional bedrooms and a full bath with a separate laundry room. The large multi-purpose first level media room has two beds. Special design touches include river rock lined showers, unique tile accents and the warmth of wood textures and finishes throughout. Only 15 minutes to this historic Santa Fe Plaza, this home has a lovely courtyard and plenty of parking and is close to the La Tierra Trail system which is 25 miles of pristine hiking/biking trails.
