This room really is the heart of the home.brbrBedrooms~brFor sleeping, our home has four bedrooms, one queen on main floor and two queens and a king on the upper floor. Guests will also find a comfy loveseat, chairs and coffee table with large shade umbrellas…the perfect spot for enjoying your morning coffee or afternoon cocktail. brbrPatio~brBelow the deck is a shaded garden area where guests can sit and relax in the hanging hammock chairs. brbrYard~brThere is a flat grassy area where guests can play lawn games (we have corn hole, spike ball, Bocce and ramp shot in the shed.) There is also a propane BBQ grill area as well as a picnic table. Guests will also find an outdoor lobster cooking area and storage tote in the shed full of lobster bake necessities such as platters, butter dishes, picks and claw crackers, disposable bibs, and a propane gas burner and cooking pot. brbrFire Pit~brEnjoy roasting marshmallows around the fire. We supply guests with a small bundle of campfire wood, newspaper and matches and guests will find plenty of branches and sticks around the property to use for kindling. Guest can purchase additional campfire wood at any local store or roadside stand.br***Note that the State of Maine currently prohibits anyone from bringing firewood from outside of the state into Maine. There is a $1000 fine for any person who violates this emergency order.***brbrLake & Docks~brThe home is 100' from our private stationary dock and the water's edge. Guests will need to be able to traverse up and down a moderately steep incline/decline over a rock pathway to the lake and are free to use and enjoy our two docks, three canoes, two stand up paddle boards, two kayaks (one adult and one child/youth size) life vests and swim floats. If guests would like to fish, they must bring their own poles and supplies and obtain a state of Maine fishing license. If guests would like to bring an additional motor boat or personal watercraft to moor at our dock, please message us to request approval and get directions to the public boat launch area.brbr***Other important details to note*** brbr **All guests who stay at Loon Echo Lodge must be at least 25 years of age (with the exception of children staying with their parents.) brbr**For insurance reasons, the primary booking guest is required to read, agree to, E-sign and return our rental agreement to confirm reservation and stay at the property. After reservation has been accepted by host, rental agreement will be sent to guest email for electronic signature. Failure of guest to e-sign and return rental agreement within 48 hours of booking will result in cancellation of booking. Please be on the lookout for the docusign rental agreement in your email inbox and return asap.brbr**Guests will need to be physically able to safely traverse up and down a moderately steep incline/decline over a rock pathway to the lake. There is a hand rail but please make sure to view all photos to ensure that all guests in booking group are able to walk up and down the stairway to the lake. brbr**Where our home is on a very rural dead end road, we do have four (4) video/audio surveillance cameras located on the EXTERIOR of the property. Two (2) are located near and facing each of the two lower/basement level entry doors. One (1) is located near and facing the main entry door on the front porch and one (1) is mounted on a tree in the upper front of the lot viewing the road/traffic. We do NOT have any cameras located inside or on the exterior that are facing the inside of the home. While the cameras record motion 24/7, we only monitor these cameras occasionally to ensure that pets and/or extra guests are not entering our family home. brbr**We only allow a maximum of SIX (6) guests on the property at all times and all guest names and ages must be disclosed/registered with us prior to booking request. To further clarify, this means that no guests except for the registered people on the initial booking are allowed to visit the property at any time, whether “just for the day” or over night. Please honor this and do not try to sneak in additional people.brbr**Our home is not suitable for infants, toddlers and/or young children who require baby safety equipment such as safety gates, safety latches on cabinets or outlet covers. Sorry, but we do not provide these items. There are two flights of stairs inside the home as well as a steep set of rock steps leading to the lake so young children who cannot safely navigate will not fare well at our property. brbr**Pets are not allowed. While we love our furry friends, sadly our home cannot accommodate them. If you try to break this rule and sneak in a pet, you will be charged an additional $500 and will be evicted immediately. brbr**No refunds will be issued for weather/natural disasters/power outages or other events that are beyond our control. We recommend that you purchase the optional travel insurance that is offered by the platform. This is rural Maine and we do lose power from time to time during a thunderstorm and power/internet may be lost for a few hours in the summer and fall months.brbr**Due to the remote location of our home, high speed internet options are limited. The home does have WIFI provided by our cellular provider and streaming tv/movies and browsing the internet works, however programs and applications that require higher speeds and data will have difficulty. If guests plan to “work” while vacationing here, we encourage the use of personal hotspots for these types of work tasks. Hopefully, all guests are able to “unplug” from work while they stay at Loon Echo Lodge.br
