Free off-street parking, private fenced tropical yard with private heated pool and hot tub, Tiki bar with outdoor kitchen, outdoor shower, and more!brbrThe bedroom has two twin size beds, 32" smart TV, Wi-Fi, ceiling fan, a bistro table with two chairs, iron and ironing board, and plenty of drawer and closet space. The bedroom is connected to a large private bathroom with tub / shower, linen closet, and ceiling fan. The bedroom is also connected to a private galley style kitchenette with refrigerator / freezer, microwave, Keurig, and toaster. We provide FREE coffee and tea pods, bottled water and ice plus disposable plates, cutlery, and hot and cold beverage cups.brbrPrivate fenced yard (gated with keypad entrance) includes your own large private heated swimming pool with raised hot tub; enclosed outdoor hot water shower with attached dressing area; multiple outdoor sitting areas surrounded by lush tropical landscape; fire pit; Tiki hut with high back bar seats, TV, and lighting; covered outdoor kitchen with gas grill, sink with hot and cold water, and mini fridge with freezer.brbrWe live on the property and with a combined 50 years in the hospitality profession we can make your stay with us in Wilton Manors / Fort Lauderdale memorable. Or if you prefer, we can stay completely out of your way and respect your privacy. It's your visit, and our goal is to make it special.brbrWe are happy to recommend local beaches, bars, restaurants, shopping areas, or more distant day trips both tame and adventurous. We are 35+ year residents of south Florida and we are just as comfortable poolside as we are fishing local waters or hiking in the Everglades, so we are able to recommend activities to fit any preference. It’s also possible to spend your entire time on the property without going anywhere else and have a great, relaxing south Florida tropical experience!brbrYou will have our phone numbers for call or text. We live on property so we will be able to help as much or as little as needed throughout your stay. Most of the time we are available to personally greet you upon your arrival and are happy to do so, however this is not required and keypad self check-in is available if you prefer.brbrWe are in a quiet residential neighborhood surrounded by parks and lots of activities, home to both young professionals and retirees from all over the country as well as people visiting on vacation. The streets are often busy with friendly people walking their dogs, jogging or biking.brbrAlthough the neighborhood itself is quiet, we are just a few blocks from the vibrant nightlife and daytime shopping of Wilton Drive; less than 15 minutes to the shops and restaurants of Ft. Lauderdale Beach, downtown Ft. Lauderdale and Las Olas Blvd; and less than 30 minutes from other great beaches such as Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Dania Beach, and the Hollywood “Broadwalk.” Being within a couple miles of I-95 means we are an easy day trip to the Palm Beaches to the north (40 miles) and Miami / Miami Beach to the south (35 miles).brbrWe are 10 minutes (3 miles) from DRV PNK Stadium (home of Inter Miami FC) and just 10 miles from the Port Everglades cruise ship port.brbrTwo state parks and numerous regional parks are within 15 miles, and the entrances to Everglades National Park and Big Cypress National Preserve are less than 70 miles away.brbrMickel Park, which recently underwent a $1.6 million renovation, is two blocks away and open to the public during the day. This beautifully landscaped park features outside workout stations, a running/ walking path, a sand-volley ball court and several covered pavilions for picnics and other outdoor activities. Several nights a year the city hosts outdoor musical concerts under the main pavilion. There is also a public electric vehicle charging station.brbrDon Eisele park, located on the middle river (one of the bodies of water that makes Wilton Manors the “island city”) is also within walking distance and features multiple park benches nestled within a canopy of shade trees and a dock that provides views of the middle river. There is also a canoe / kayak launch. This park is also open sunrise to sunset.brbrWithin a mile or two is a Publix grocery store, Dunkin' Donuts, Starbucks, Aroma Joe's, 24-hour 7-11, liquor store, CVS and Walmart drug stores, and many other stores, restaurants and bars.brbrThe City of Wilton Manors operates a Circuit ride share service that will take you from our property to anywhere within the city.brbrWe are happy to recommend local beaches, bars, restaurants, shopping areas, or more distant day trips both tame and adventurous. Your hosts are 30+ year residents of south Florida, and we are just as comfortable sitting poolside as we are fishing the local waters or hiking knee deep in the Everglades, so we are able to recommend activities to fit any preference. It’s also possible to spend your entire time on the property without going anywhere else and have a great, relaxing south Florida experience!brbrGETTING AROUND ONCE YOU’RE HERE:brThere are lots of Uber and Lyft drivers at any time of day or night in this area and they are very easy to get, so ride share is all you'll need if you plan to play and explore locally (Wilton Drive, Ft. Lauderdale Beach, Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Las Olas Blvd.) Cabs are also available. Wilton Manors also has CIRCUIT which will take you between any two points within the city of Wilton Manors. As of this writing the cost is $2.00 per passenger per trip. If you plan to visit the attractions not so close, however, you might want to consider a rental car. You could also look into the Tri-Rail or Brightline trains; these run north and south between Miami and Orlando with multiple stops along the way. Lauderdale International Airport is about 15 – 20 minutes away and is served by the usual ride share, taxi, and private limousine services that can be found at any major airport. Miami International and Palm Beach International are each about 30 – 40 minutes away by car, or you might want to use the Brightline Train or TriRail to connect from these airports to the Ft. Lauderdale Train Station.
