Enjoy the slow deliberate pace of life the French embrace.brYou will staying in your own cottage on our 4 1/2 acre estate.brThe cottage is nestled in between Carrotwood and Eucalyptus trees.brYou will have a full open to living room kitchen with stove, oven, refrigerator, butcher block counters, cooking essentials, pots pans and dishes with a farmhouse sink!brBedroom with a queen bed from France, comfortable mattress with hotel style fluffy pillow-top, cotton bedding, wing back chair for reading, black out curtains, full length mirror and wall hung flat screen tv with Roku.brOpen concept living room with electric fireplace to set a romantic mood, French doors, another wing back chair for reading and rustic vaulted ceilings.brWith an artful balance between earthy and chic, French country infuses our cottage with incomparable warmth and welcome. There is no air conditioning in the cottage but we provide plenty of fans.brMake sure to bring your hiking shoes and get ready to explore the trails right outside the property.brFrom your front windows you will be able to catch a view of our rare showgirl silkie hens. They are entertaining and somehow therapeutic at the same time. brWatch for Mrs Hensley as she is our mascot.brWe have fresh eggs if the girls are laying so check for availability.brPLEASE note before booking!brTwo person max and no visitors or family members in the cottage. This rule is strictly enforced with no exceptions. One car per booking, no flame candlesbrYou must read and agree to the house rules before booking.brThey are building homes behind us so there is construction noise at times.brbrHello there, a little about usbrbrMy husband Allen and I will be your hosts while you visit us. We have been married for 34 years. We met in the hospitality industry and worked in that field for many years. Little did we know that would be great training for our new adventure as hosts for the cottages.brLove God, camping, trees, country music, animals, cooking shows, Chip and Joanna Gaines in Texas, vintage anything especially vintage trailers! We have a 1979 Avion (airstreams cousin)brAnd a cute little 1955 canned ham Roadliner that we take to the beach for camping. brbrLife motto is " everything will be all right in the end and if its not all right, its not the end"brbrWe bought this farm style home in Vista 23 years ago and love our little mini farm on four acres.brI have always wanted a bed and breakfast way back when I was a child.brMy grandma grew up on a farm in Kansas and she passed on the love of it to me.br We are at the end of a cul de sac, on top of a hill with breath taking views. A country/rural setting but near everything. brI love design and I had been working at Michaels in Vista for over eleven years as the floral designer. Semi retied now focusing on my rescue Yorkshire Terriers, Chickens, quilt making, sewing and crochet. brOur hearts are for animals, especially dogs and we rescue Yorkshire Terriers because we are crazy about this breed! brPs we keep the yorkies in a separate yard with the chickens, do not enter their area as one is protective and fearful of strangers. brWe have some beautiful show chickens and raise hens for eggs. We call it pets with benefits.brbr This is a guest house on our property which is a four acre estate. Lovely views, lots of windows ,small kitchen, one bedroom, queen bed, and one bath Cottage. It is small like a tiny home.brVery quiet and in the hills of vista. Still so close to everything like shopping, frwy, theaters, restaurants and all the attractions San Diego has to offer. Bring your hiking boots and or mountain bikes, there are beautiful trails right outside the property gates
