Charming, full two story colonial revival with a large backyard and mature trees. 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2100 square feetbrbrIt's a completely detached single-family home, ideal for a family of 5 or 2 couples but it can sleep up to 6 people.brbrIt's just 3 blocks from lively, quaint downtown Alameda, and 5 minutes walking to a grocery stores and a 15 minute walk to the beach.brbrWalking distance to express buses and casual carpool to SF as well as buses to Oakland and BART and SF Ferry terminals.brbrFirst floor: Large kitchen and full bathroom with French doors leading to deck for dining and backyard. Nook off kitchen with elliptical machine and kids toys and games. Spacious dining room, foyer with piano, and living room with large couch and flat screen TV.brbrSecond floor: 4 bedrooms and one bath upstairs. Primary bedroom is large with its own sitting area with couch, two closets, and multiple built-in bookshelves. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed with walk in closet. Bedroom 3 has a daybed, built-in desk/shelves and walk in closet. Bedroom 4 has a twin bed, closet and is decorated for kids.brbrBoth first and second floor bathrooms have antique claw foot tubs with showers.brbrBasement: Washing machine, clothes dryer and additional freezer near the stairs leading from kitchen. There is a separate entrance from the side yard to the basement. brbrYard: Deck, backyard and side patios, raised garden beds, treehouse, basketball hoop.brbrNeighborhood brAlameda is a charming, walkable, bike-friendly island city with beautiful Victorian, Craftsman, and Mid-century homes. We're just two (longer) blocks to Park St where there are tasty restaurants and cafes, fun bars, and cute local shops. brbrYou'll have just a 10-minute walk to Southshore, an outdoor mall that includes a Safeway and Trade Joe's among other stores and restaurants, including Kohl's, TJ Maxx, and the great Trabocco.brbrA 15 minute walk lands you at the beach! You'll see kite boarders and windsurfers in the afternoon when the wind picks up a little, and if you want to learn there are lessons from Board Sports right from the beach. The beach is only about 2-5 ft deep over 50-100 meters out, depending on the tide, so it's great for kids.brbrAlameda has abundant parks. Close by, we like Franklin park which has tennis courts, basketball hoops and toddler and kids playgrounds, as well as a nice area for picnic in the grass a few trees to climb. Along the shore and further west if you follow the beach you'll get to Crown Memorial Beach with tons of picnic spots, duck ponds, and a dog park. A little further and you're at Crab Cove which has great visitor center for kids and field where Alameda city hosts concerts. brbrIt's an incredible neighborhood for families - the kids on the block (ages 6-10) all play together outside (with masks on during the pandemic).brbrGetting aroundbrAlameda is on the suburban side, so most people have cars here and there's plenty of street parking. We also live within walking distance to restaurants, bars, grocery stores, and shopping.brbrThere are also plenty of AC Transit bus lines to get further in Alameda and around the Bay Area. The buses will also connect you to BART. There are express buses to San Francisco. There are also ferries to SF and Oakland.
