Moonfish is a fenced property with three simple, elegant, oceanfront Beach Houses (plus the private one-bedroom apartment - The Sloop) boasting picture-perfect views across the pool and gardens leading onto beautiful Bathway Beach.

Pelican and Beachcomber Villas are spacious, detached, 2-bedroom beach houses and were custom-designed to be 'upside down’. This means that the best views, from the top floor, can be enjoyed during the day! Each has two large balconies with casual seating and stunning panoramic views. A bright and spacious Great Room invites you to make yourself at home with two couches, a dining table for four, a full kitchen with fridge/freezer, four ring gas stove/cooktop and oven, and two full-length balconies. The upper balcony, accessed through either of the two double-dutch screened doors, features a large dining table which seats 6, and stunning views!

On the lower floor are the ensuite bedrooms, each has a Queen bed in one bedroom, and two Extra-Long Twins in the second bedroom. Ensuite bathrooms in the villas are actually large shower or wetrooms, (approx 8'x5’), with toilet and tiled vanity with basin.

All doors and windows (except the main entrance door) have screens, and the cooling trade winds eliminates the need for air conditioning - and also helps deter mosquitos on the property.

Free Wireless Internet (wifi) with their own router in each of the villas and the apartment, original art on the walls, and other special touches to help make this your perfect holiday hideaway. Linens, towels, and beach towels are provided.

Ask us about our new 3-bedroom rental, the owners' villa will be availaible from 18 December for select dates!

Grenada is very small, only 13 miles wide and 21 miles long which means everything is in easy reach. It is possible to drive around the entire island in 2.5 hours! Out of the hurricane belt, Grenada is popular year-round for holiday makers and yachties, who know they can moor their boats here and still be covered by insurance.

Also known as “The Spice Island”, Grenada is a firm favourite for foodies, the tastes and scents of our most famous exports surround you and tempt you to try new dishes. We have placed a few cookbooks in each villa to inspire you, and welcome baskets include local fruit and handmade treats. We were thrilled to be part of the rebranding process to Pure Grenada, to encourage tourism, when they used our property as a film location.

We are close to Sauteurs, the third largest city on the island. There you will find several small grocery stores, a small fish market, a selection of places to eat or get take-away meals, and an MNIB (the farmers co-operative) which is where you will find fresh seasonal produce. Grenville, the second-largest city on the island, is about a half-hour’s drive, or taxi ride. Grenville features a wonderful fish market and farmers market, as well as two larger grocery shops and another MNIB.

Live like a local, and be welcomed by our charming, friendly neighbours in this unspoilt corner of the Caribbean!

We are currently renting two of the three villas, and the apartment, providing room for larger groups of up to 10 should you be travelling with a larger group!

Please note: Due to some design features, our insurance company insist that we can only accept guests aged 8 and over. We are sorry but we are unable to accept bookings arriving Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day.

    Lovely stay at Moonfish

We had a great holiday on Grenada and Moonfish was a highlight. We loved the Beachcomber house with open airy floorplan and the windows and balconies. It was windy at times but we loved the place. The pool and Bathaway beach were both great. So uncrowded and still nice with the locals gathering down on the beach. So happy we chose Moonfish and we'll surely be back someday.

    Absolute paradise!

We stayed at the Moonfish Villa for three weeks. It was a little piece of heaven. The Moonfish Villa offered us the best way to relax and to tour the beautiful island of Grenada. The location is fantastic, right by the ocean. We would spend most of the time on the big terrace, especially in the morning, watching the sunrise and looking at the waves. The Bathway Beach is just beautiful, never crowded, pretty much empty. The Levera Beach is only a 15-minute walk away, and is just as breathtaking and even less crowded. The colour of the ocean is just unbelievable. The villa is very spacious, two bedrooms plus two baths downstairs and huge kitchen/ dining/ living space upstairs, plus that amazing terrace. The kitchen has everything you need. No dishwasher and no washer and dryer, after all it is a beach house, but Kitty let us do a couple loads of laundry. The place is really clean, it feels like home from the moment you step into it. The location is away from the hustle and bustle, there are no resorts on this side of the island except for Petite Anse which is a good drive away. No coffee shops either, just a handful of restaurants, you can only walk to Aggie's, which is really good, the other restaurants you need to drive to. The Heights is fantastic. Bring your own coffee if you are a coffee lover, you can only buy instant on this side. The villa has a French press. St. George's is about 1.5 hour away, the road is narrow and steep at times as you drive through the mountains. It looks close on the map, but it isn't. Kitty and Russ are a wonderful couple, very helpful, easy to communicate with. The pool is really neat, rarely busy as there is just one more villa and one suite for rent. You definitely need a car there. Be prepared to really relax and decompress. The place is just made for that. It was a great holiday!

    Terrific getaway!

Kitty was a fabulous host. The duplex was clean and well-appointed. Kitty even provided us with some extra treats. Not much to do in that part of the island, but that was just what we wanted. There is a great little restaurant close enough to walk to that we ate at twice. It truly is a shangri-La and if ever in Grenada again, we will definitely stay there.

Moonfish Villas is a wonderful place to stay, the best that I am aware of in the northern part of the island. The accommodation is simple but elegant - and comfortable - and the location and views are stunning. Recommended.

We visited Grenada with our 9 & 11yo kids to get away from the brutal winter. After a rough flight and drive to the property we were pretty stressed, but one look around and it all melted away. The beautiful views of the oceans, the lovely pool and the clean comfortable house were everything we hoped. We visited crater lakes, swam at the falls, toured a rum factory and swam at several different beaches. We had our ups and downs as we explored every part of Grenada, but we were always thrilled to return to the property where we enjoyed the pool or took a short walk to the swimming beach. You can walk to the shacks on the beach or to Aggies for lunch/dinner. From our first inquiry Kitty was a treasure of information. In Grenada, she was always available when needed but never intruded. She helped arrange a fishing trip for my husband, suggested restaurants, recommended sites to visit and made sure we had plenty of family friendly movies. It is a bit remote, and you will need a car, but if you want to get away from it all this place is great. At the right time of year you might even see a leatherback turtle laying eggs on the beach like we did!

    Relaxing Honeymoon in Great Location

The best decision we made in planning our trip was booking at moonfish. The first half of our trip was at hotels. We had a such a relaxing week enjoying our honeymoon! The Bathway area is the ideal relaxing, quiet location. Highlights are the friendly locals at the beach, the food shacks, and of course the sunsets and moonlit nights. Aggies restaurant is extremely good. We had a car for half the week to check out some sights and buy some groceries and then we gave it up to just enjoy what was within walking distance. The house had everything we needed and more. Kitty was always available and willing to help if we had any questions. I know other reviews touch on it but I cannot emphasize how easy she made our stay. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much! Britt & Nate

The setting is perfect, the villas are exactly as described and Kitty not only traced our lost luggage but provided bananas from her garden and home baked treats. We have rented villas all over the world for many years and this is one of the best. If you hire a car you will get lost: there are 25 signposts on the island and 25,000 junctions but the scary looking guy with the machete will give you a huge smile and send you the right way when you stop for directions. We will go back to Moonfish very soon. Bob+Pam

The beachfront Villas of Kitty and Russ are a very unique place. Right on the beach and with a swimming pool, the villas are large, confortable and decorated with a personal touch which is a nice change from the anonymous hotel rooms I see all year. Friendly, helpful and always ready to share a great tip on the island, a place to see or have diner, the owners are lovely people who gives you plenty of space and privacy so that you can enjoy your stay away from civilization. The house is located near many other beachs (in case you get tired of yours which feels like a private one). A good restaurant at walking distance and shops 15 minutes drive away makes the villas very conveniently located for every day needs. Finally, we had a couple of trips to the deserted island you can see from the house, Sandy island is a great place for a day escape, you should try it. We warmly recommand this place. Emma & Arnaud

I stayed at one of these beautiful beach houses for a week in May. In terms of our holiday home this was probably one of the best rental properties I have stayed at and I travel a lot with my work and am used to great accommodation. Kitty and Russ our hosts were charming and could not do more to make our stay comfortable and great fun. Kitty especially went out of her way both before the holiday and during to ensure that we had all that we needed to enjoy our stay. The villas are located in one of the best sites on Grenada, a cooling wind helps you really enjoy the lovely sunshine and the sea is literally a stones through from the villas. The view of the sea from each villa is incredibly beautiful. Local sites of interest and snorkelling opportunities to view the amazing tropical fish are nearby. There were some great restaurants nearby and I can especially recommend Aggie's, great home cooking with really friendly service. All in all my holiday at Moonfish rates as one of my all time holidays of a lifetime and I am looking forward to going back very soon. I would not hesitate to recommend this great location to all my family and friends.

Kitty and Ross are wonderful hosts, so friendly yet discreet. Even had Shanty in the fridge when we arrived on a hot afternoon from St George's. The villas are amazingly beautiful and private, with own naturally heated pool. Couldn t have asked for anything else. They even arranged a snorkling trip to Sandy island for us on the last day. A trip of a lifetime. Highly recommend. Zara, Jamal, Tahirah and Dawud
