Perfect location for the DC Business traveler or a family vacationing in our nations Capitol! Just off I-395 - a stones throw to the Pentagon and one exit into Washington DC. Walk to Shirlington Village from this quiet neighborhood. The house is completely furnished with new beds and accessories. You will want for nothing. Private & spacious, the house has 3 large bedrooms with queen beds, and the living room has a brand new sleeper sofa. There are two and half bathrooms. The master suite is located on it's own floor. We hope to host you again and again! This house is 2 miles from the Pentagon City Metro. It is not walking distance.
Host was very helpful in allowing us to check in early, so our grandson could nap. Small inconveniences; needed to buy soap, handle on microwave was broken, one chair in living room was broken (came apart when sat in and we couldn't find the part to put back together).
Marnie was a great hostess, very accommodating and easy to work with. Her location was perfect. We were in town for a funeral in Arlington so it was easy to travel from her house and back or to the mall.
We rented the townhouse for a weekend family get together. Our younger daughter lives nearby but her apartment is too small to house 9 people. This townhouse was very comfortable for all of us to stay and hang out. The owner was very accommodating and allowed us to have our dogs stay too. We have a golden doodle, our older daughter has a golden doodle and the younger daughter has a Australian Shepard mix. Our dogs loved spending time together and we loved having them with us to enjoy the weekend away. We definitely recommend staying here and will stay again for future get-aways in the DC area. Book this property, you won't be disappointed !
Had a great long weekend with son's family - place was clean - the space good and it is a great location.
This is the perfect place to stay if you are running MCM. 2.5 miles from Pentagon Station, a couple blocks from a nice trail to do your shake out run the day before! The only draw back is the stairs, but climbing them moves the lactic acid out of your muscles! There is an excellent Chinese place that serves both vegan and regular food a block away on Shirlington (also a nice corner store called the Lucky 7 has decent beer)! Bring coffee with you, we struggled the first morning having to go get it, but other than that this was a great place for our needs. 3 adults stayed, all ran MCM. We used Lyft and Uber to get around.
Our stay was amazing - we couldn't have asked for anything else. Marnie was incredibly helpful in every way and the house is perfect. If we wanted or needed anything, it wasn't hard to find. All bases were covered. It is not close to a metro but we had no problem getting a Lyft or an Uber quickly and inexpensively. Would highly recommend this location to anyone and hope that all of my future experiences are as lovely as this one. A.
We came to the DC area for a friends Air Force promotion. We were close to the Pentagon and many other sites. The house was clean and with a family of 7 it was nice to have plenty of towels for once.
This home is located in a quiet neighborhood with easy to the Metro stations via bus stop less than a block away. The home is charming, clean, and comfortable with lots of extra towels and blankets and other amenities. Marnie was a friendly and accommodating hostess. We also liked that we could park our car in the garage to avoid difficult and tight parking in the street. If we return to the Arlington/DC area we would definitely call on Marnie again!
Beautiful property, nice neighborhood garage parking 3 large bedrooms would highly recommend.
Everything was just as represented. The house is very comfy and clean. The location can't be beat for visiting the city or near suburbs. Very convenient parking, quiet dead end street. Would definitely come again.
The owner is very accommodating and friendly. The property was not spectacular, but the location is good and the size suited our purpose. The kitchen/dining area is small, and the kitchen is not real well equipped, which won't matter if you plan to eat out all the time. We made it work (there were six of us). We liked having a garage for parking, but only one of our rental cars would fit in it--also not a problem for most guests. We liked being close to the city without having to pay the in-city rental prices. It is a nice walk or a short drive to Shirlington Village, where there is a nice selection of pubs, restaurants, and a grocery store. There were a few things that needed attention; I informed the owner in a separate email, and hopefully they have been cured.
We were in the area for our daughters graduation from GW Law school and this property was so close to route 395 and an easy drive into D.C. Marnie was great to deal with! She got back to us right away with any questions we had. We recommend this property for anyone visiting the D.C. Area!! Thanks Marnie!!
We had a great time staying at Marnie's place! The 6 of us (4 adults, and 2 small kids) all fit comfortably in the house. My kids loved the bar stools in the kitchen. Overall, a great stay!
it is a great rental. marnie is a responsive host and will help make your stay as comfortable as possible. its in a quiet neighborhood only minutes from the Mall, even in traffic. bedrooms and bathrooms are on two floors, with a convenient indoor garage for off street parking. we loved our trip! thanks
This is a perfect place to stay close to all the sites. It was very clean and much better than staying at a hotel.
The house was perfect!
Everything was as expected and our host was very attentive to whatever needs or questions we had prior to and during our stay.
My family and I traveled to Washington DC this past October to run in the Marine Corp Marathon. There were 7 of us traveling so it would be too expensive to stay in a hotel. I came across his beautiful 3 story home which was in Arlington and very close to the start line of the race. The pictures do not do it justice! It was perfect all the way around...very clean, safe, comfortable and convenient! Marnie was extremely helpful with any questions or concerns I had. We enjoyed our stay so much that I will definitely call her for next years race!!
We made a last-minute reservation and Marnie was the most gracious and responsive VRBO host we've ever had (in four years of booking). The house was immaculate and very comfortable. While it was a little further from DC than we initially wanted, we soon learned it's super easy and fast to get downtown using Uber and the subway. We recommend the place most highly!
Our family stayed in Marnie's condo for several days - we were attending a conference in Arlington. This place was everything we could ask for - great location, large bedrooms with comfy beds, well-appointed kitchen with ample dishes, silverware, pots, pans, etc. for cooking and dining in. The linen closet was well-stocked with towels and extra sheets and pillows. We had a washer/dryer at our disposal if needed. The best was off-street parking in an attached garage, so unloading our car was a breeze. Marnie was very helpful during our stay and a wonderful host. We can't wait to come back and see some more of the DC area.
We were really impressed with the townhome and the location was great! It is located close to plenty of restaurants, grocery store, and the attractions located in Washington DC (the National Mall, etc.). It is very clean and well-maintained. Marnie was very helpful and accommodating when we arrived earlier than originally planned. It really helped to make our trip even more wonderful and memorable. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone who is visiting the Arlington and Washington DC area.
My family and I recently visited the DC area, primarily for a memorial service at Arlington National cemetery. This property was perfect as it is about an easy 15 minute drive there. It was also important that we had sleeping capacity of 4 separate rooms, as there were 5 adults (1 couple). It was very easy to find and my first concern, parking, was easily accommodated by the 2 car garage under this house. And fear not, a minivan fits in this garage! Up the stairs to the main level you enter a nice, recently upgraded kitchen, with a nice little table, an island and a generous kitchen prep area with all the requisite appliances. Adjoining to the kitchen is the living room with a couch, chair and TV. We honestly moved so fast and often that we never even turned on the TV so I can’t speak to it, but the living room and kitchen were nice, clean and comfortable. There is also a nice half bath/powder room right by the front door, which was handy since one of the sleeping areas we used was the living room. The couch folds out to a bed, and my daughter did give it a try, but as Marnie (the owner) wrote in her notes, it isn’t super comfortable. Upstairs is a nice inflatable bed and that worked great. Being a teenager it was hard to convince her to break everything down each morning, so the living room was primarily her bedroom! Up the stairs is another 2 nice bedrooms with full or queen sized beds and a full bathroom in between. The bedrooms were very spacious and the beds were comfortable. Up the final flight of stairs to the spacious master bed room with private full bath and a large closet. Every room was tastefully decorated and everything was clean and fresh. The whole house was very comfortable, the neighborhood is very quiet and conveniently located to grocery, restaurants and all the sites. To go into DC we simply drove up to Ballston Center, a mall/office complex about 10 minutes straight north, parked the van in the parking garage and took the Metro into DC. Marnie was totally pleasant to deal with and completely available via email or phone if needed. My sister-in-law discovered she inadvertently left a necklace in her bedroom, I immediately contacted Marnie and she found it and even mailed it to me! I can’t recommend this house more. Like I said in the title: great house, great location, great experience!
The owner was very sweet and more than helpful. The location was perfect for a Spring Break vacation to tour DC. Eveything in the house was just as it appears in the pix. Plenty of room in the house for 2 adults and 3 teenage boys. We were OK with it but the only negative in the house was every thing was on different levels. Ground level was laundry room/garage, next level kitchen and living room, third level two bedrooms & fourth level master bedroom.
We stayed at this apartment for Christmas. 4 adults and 3 kids. Rooms are great, bathrooms too. There are 3 bedrooms with queen size beds. We needed an extra bed for one of the kids. We chose to bring an infaltable matress, but we could have used the sofá in the living room instead. Marnie is a great host, she lives very close, and was very nice to provide some things we needed. The only suggestion I would give, is to have some more chairs in the kitchen, we didnt have enough to sit down for dinner for all of us. But besides that, everything was great. Very close to DC! Thank you Marnie, we had a great time!
