York, England
This hidden away end terraced family home just off the eclectic, friendly Belle Vue Street is in a perfect location, only a 10 minute stroll, to York city centre and all it has to offer.
Quiet and overlooking trees and green space, the property has many original features but has been tastefully modernised.
A cosy log burner, a light filled kitchen, a pretty courtyard garden and a mix of modern and period interior design makes it an easy place to stay.
Bedrooms / sleeping arrangements: The large, light filled loft master bedroom has a superking bed, sweeping green views and antique chaise lounge perfect to while away hours reading on. Two further bedrooms on the first floor have double beds, large sash windows and ample wardrobe/drawer space. A travel cot is available on request.
A simple compact office space with printer is located on the central landing. The modern family bathroom has a powerful shower over a deep bath.
Two sitting rooms on the ground floor have a selection of toys, games and books for your enjoyment. The main living space has solid oak floors and a comfy sofa right in front of a modern wood burning stove. It’s toasty and perfect for winter evenings, but french doors open out to a leafy courtyard for those magical warmer months.
The living rooms leads into the sunny, well equipped, kitchen diner. A 5 burner gas hob and large stainless steel fridge freezer, sit amongst a dualit toaster and kettle, retro radio with iPod dock and the usual crockery and utensils. A round family dining table seats four easily with a high chair available. A pantry, sink area and handy washing machine is situated just off the kitchen. Again, french doors open out to the pleasant courtyard and garden.
Kitchen basics: We know how it is when you arrive at a property, you don't want to have to bring washing up liquid and salt & pepper with you! So in the kitchen you will find jars of all the basics which you are free to help yourself to: Cereal, pasta, herbs, jam, olive oil, tea, coffee, sugar - you get the picture.
A leafy courtyard and garden, with table and chairs, is at the back of the property and cottage-style garden to the front where there is also an off street parking space specifically for the house (through a narrow archway, so be careful!). Non permit free parking is also available on the street for additional cars.
