Absolutely impeccable property. So clean and such thoughtful touches by the hostess. I rarely leave reviews, but when a place is this clean, I have to weigh in.
Property was beautiful. Bedroom decorated wonderfully. Super clean. Host was lovely and outside areas were great. Will recommend it to anyone we know that is going to Harpers Ferry.
The room was bright, clean and comfortable. The hostess provided nice extras such as water, snacks, toiletries, puzzles and books. She also provided excellent details the about the area, what to do and where things were. I loved the décor both in our room and the common areas. There was also a patio and fire pit available.
The property was charming and historic. It was a nice walk to downtown Harper's Ferry where there were places to eat and shop. The room was charming however the next time I would prefer an attached bathroom with a more modern shower. The hostess was very nice with a wealth of information about the area. I would recommend the Trouvaille House for a weekend getaway.
Beautiful and modernized historic home, we had a lovely stay and would return in a heartbeat.
Great property and location! We would stay there again!
I can't say enough about Christie and her guest house! She was there to check us in and gave us tips/recommendations about places to go and best places to eat. The room was clean, comfortable, and pretty. The shared kitchen was well stocked with necessities. Anyone who needs just a simple room to stay in Harpers Ferry should definitely stay here. We will be back.
This historic house is located walking distance from harpers ferry. There was ample parking immediately in front of the house. Our room had lots of natural sunlight and was surprising quiet. The house and our room had everything we needed. Our host, Christie, made a point to check in with us after we arrived to make sure we had everything we needed. She also provided some good tips and recommendations on things to see and do while we were there. I had a few questions that came up during our visit and she always responded very quickly if not immediately. I’d highly recommend this “lucky find”.
We absolutely loved our room. Every last detail was thought out and well executed. Stunning design. Our host was very informational and the common areas were just as lovely, beautiful and very clean.
Very nice stay! Room was comfortable, quiet and clean. The shared kitchen downstairs is very nice and we enjoyed time in the backyard. We walked to everything… hike, food and coffee. Host was great and had everything in place we needed.
We loved our stay for a long weekend in Harper’s Ferry. Had everything we needed and offered proximity and comfort
My husband and I really enjoyed our time in Harper’s Ferry. Christy had so many thoughtful touches in the room and common areas: chocolate, coffee, milk for the coffee, fresh flowers, games, firewood, etc. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. My only suggestion would be to send the check-in procedure ahead of time so that the guest knows what to expect. It was a little unnerving to not know what to do and then worry we wouldn’t have cell service to contact the owner.
Loved how close the home was to everything in the area. Being able to walk everywhere was nice
Our stay was amazing! Room and house were super clean and cozy. Christie made sure we were all set and gave us recommendations for things to do. We will definitely be coming back!
If you are looking for an amazing place to stay on your visit to historic Harper’s Ferry, this is the place. When we chose the Trouvaille House, we thought we were just getting a very delightfully cute space to stay in, but what we got was that and so much more. Christie was so welcoming and informative on Harpers Ferry. When she welcomed us to the home, her recommendations and knowledge of the town’s history and must-see places made us even more excited about a trip we had been planning for months. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay, I hope everyone gets to experience Harper’s Ferry in the manner we did.
Wonderfully renovated historic home. Rooms, bathroom and kitchen elegantly done. Super clean house and comfortable . The host was gracious, welcoming and provided lots of great tips about the area. She responded promptly to all our concerns. We will definitely be back Samuel and Margaret
We had a great time staying here and the location to everything was perfect
The room was decorated beautifully and the hosts were so kind. Everything we needed was there for us! Would definitely book again if in Harper’s Ferry
My daughter and I had a splendid weekend with a very accommodating host with a true enthusiasm about the areas charm and history. Located right in the middle of Harper's Ferry and Bolivar, the historic guest house is walking distance to many fun spots. We also got in lots of outdoor fun with tubing and hiking. The house itself lended to leisure with private porches nestled with in the trees and large soaking tubs and showers. A great find!
The room was quite comfortable. It's an easy walk to downtown for fun during the day and to The Barn for entertainment in the evening. We didn't have to use our car at all during our stay.
The property manager met us at the house early to check in. She provided us with a tour and detailed instructions regarding our stay. The house is decorated and furnished beautifully! Every detail is covered. It is such a short walk to anything you want to do in Harper's Ferry. We loved our stay and hope to be back one day!
