This was the perfect home away from home!!! The property was great and we will stay again! It was exactly what we were hoping for!
Bed sheets NASTY, old sheets. Blankets were not clean. Old bathtube which gave the appearance of being dirty. Kitchen NASTY. Stove NASTY WITH FOOD PARTICALS LEFT ON STOVE. Refrigerater NASTY obviously was not cleaned from prior visit. Freezer NASTY,NASTY WITH FROZEN FOOD PARTICLES. Famiy room couch NASTY with many stains. Floors and Rugs filthy. Thrift shop furniture.Broken handle o. Stove. NO PRIVACY with most windows without cutains and those with curtain had extremely shear see-though curtains. Then there is the neighbors who write obseen notes with permanent marker on your vehicle windows and mirrors because they don't like the idea of having a vacation rental next door. This place is on the top of our list of worst places we ever stayed at. VRBO should consider removing this property from website. To add VRBO has lost us as a future customer because of this rental stay.
We really loved this property, and its location allowed us to balance activities in Olympic and Seattle, despite being a bit of a drive in either direction. I didn't find parking to be much of a hassle and appreciated the heads up in the listing on parking options.
This house is nicely decorated and did have plenty of space for our family of 5. However, the upstairs windows did not have screens or a way to lock the window closed, which posed a safety hazard for our adventurous young kids. Also, the outlets in one of the rooms didn’t work. I messaged the host multiple times with no response. Even if it wasn’t possible to fix the outlets, some sort of response would have been appreciated. If it’s adults or older kids, this space would be great, but consider other options if you have young kids. (Also there are very thin/no curtains on the upstairs bedroom windows, which made our kids wake up verrrry early.)
Lovely
We went out to visit our son while he is stationed in Bangor. The location is perfectly between Bangor and Seattle. The home was cozy and fit our needs. We walked down to the ferry on the days we went to Seattle. The only concern is parking. We ended up parking on the east side of the house, the signs all said 1 hour parking, but we never received a ticket. Our son who drove his car from the Bangor base is the only one that received a ticket. His car had out of state plates, while we had a rental with WA plates. We believe this is why he got a ticket and we never did. He ended up parking at the base next door and all was fine. We felt safe the entire time, the home was beautifully decorated, Julie had all the items we needed for the stay. We even cooked our Easter dinner and other meals without any issues. It was very quiet as well.
We loved staying here in Bremerton! The home has beautiful old world charm features, and the bedding and furniture was comfortable. There’s plenty within walking distance, and it was neat overhearing the sounds of the naval shipyard during the week. A memorable stay!
