Plenty of room, great location, 25 minutes to Stratton. Linens, towels and toiletries provided but bring firewood and coffee filters. We would stay again
Stayed for several days for a ski trip - two families with four kids. Great setup for our group with room to have some people watching tv, while others playing games, and a nice fireplace room.
While the house itself was beautiful, it was unclean and was infested with flies and lady bugs. Cobwebs on the beams, and upstairs bathroom was not very clean or inviting. Also there was NO welcome book or specific house instructions, ie, could not get tv to work, did not know about recycling?, stripping of beds? Remote control operation? There was a corporate vacasa pamphlet saying here’s a gift for u to enjoy during your stay and there was no gift. What the heck!!!
Very nice and quite a unique setting. It's in a group of buildings that feels like a NE Commons. Dog could run and play and we could enjoy stars at night. Recommended! FYI - it was a hot spell and the upstairs was hard to vent! Window A/C downstairs helped downstairs...... not upstairs. One item that was not clear (to me) was that it looked like the whole house was available, but there is an attached, 2nd residence with full-time renter. Very nice and actually helpful as the door knob was coming off and he help me put it back on - to enter the 1st time.
It is quaint, older style but super clean and comfortable. Loved the green cabinets in kitchen. The family enjoyed mountain biking nearby and swimming at Lowell lake state park.
House was beautiful! Was impossible to contact the owners. There was broken furniture when we arrived.
We absolutely loved the area and location of the house! The house itself was great for a large family, plenty of space to gather without being crowded. Great kitchen for cooking! There is some general maintenance/upgrades needed. Overall, enjoyable.
Enjoyed our stay House had lots of space. Loved sitting by the fireplace, eating meals in dining area, watching TV. Even got out for some hiking and sledding. Kitchen was a great space for cooking. Dishwasher did not work and we had some trouble with sink draining. Because this is handled by property management there was a delay in getting in touch with anyone. Would be helpful to have firewood included as it is difficult to bring in wood from out of state and expensive to buy. Fees are high. But all in all a great stay and we would return.
We had 5 adults and 4 children- this house was great for all of us. Nooks and crannies for everyone to distant when needed. Great fireplace. The only reason for 4 stars is that a couple things needed repair/ but not a big deal if they are fixed by the time another renter comes. We left on 2/8/22.
As I have had rentals myself I do try and give reviews that help give insight , maybe I’m picky, but I always read reviews and are thankful people take the time to help me make a choice. My husband and I got this rental so our family staying near by would have a place to gather over Thanksgiving. The location is close to town. House is big and has a great room with tv & open to kitchen. Kitchen is adequate, if you are staying check to see what has been left to use before you shop if you plan to cook. The New American Grill in town has a great menu, food is delicious and staff super friendly! Only about 5 minutes away. Many other awesome places within 30 minutes drive. We slept in the master and the bed was very comfortable. The layout is a bit weird. Only one bath upstairs ( which is in need of a major update, worn vanity from the 80’s & not a single knob or draw pull) with the 4 bedrooms. The bedroom at the back of the house has back stairs down to kitchen and there is a full second updated bath there. There is a front living room with fire place that is very cozy. Unfortunately all the couch and chair cushions need to be replaced as they are flat. The owners are not putting any money back into this house as it is probably just a family ski house. The back deck is an accident waiting to happen, most of the boards are rotting through. We only walked out there once but if you go in warmer weather and want to hangout there be careful! There is a small library/ game room off the dining room with many toys & games that kept my grandchildren totally occupied. There is Wi-Fi which not all rentals have so that was appreciated. Be careful coming in the door as the field stone steps are a little wonky. This is probably a hundred year old house that was added onto over the years so it has a good vibe. There was garbage in the entry when we first got there, I got in touch with management and was quickly removed the next day. I think with some updates, this house is great for families or 3 couples, if you don’t mind sharing bathrooms . The 4th bedroom has 3 twins so good for kids. Make sure you look at all the extra fees, my 3 night stay cost me —- with fees as management company has a fee also. ( that fee should be paid by the owner) Too much $ for a repeat visit.
