WIDE PLATFORM STEPS FROM PARKING AREA OR GENTLY SLOPING WALK TO UNIT ON GRASS
Very nice condo.
Not easily accessible to elderly or physically limited individuals. Steep spiral steps to master bedroom, lengthy walk with steps from parking. It’s a lovely unit, nicely decorated and clean. Great fireplace. Kitchen a bit small. Needs more bar ware. Overall a nice place.
This is the second time staying at this home and it fits my family needs. The fact we can take our dogs is a huge plus and televisions in the bedrooms is nice. The home is well appointed and has everything you need. A few maintenance issues were the only drawbacks. Grill wasn’t completely functional, only one of three burners worked, bathroom sink upstairs drained poorly and mattress upstairs was a bit lumpy. I want to emphasize that we like this place and our last visit last year was perfect.
Had a great time away from home. Saw the most beautiful water falls and went on many hikes. Some of our favorite times were at the townhouse relaxing in the porch or in the cute sunroom. Lots of privacy. Would definitely go back.
It was a quiet and a perfect place to relax and enjoy the North Carolina mountains.
Property was spacious and accommodated our party of four. Beds were comfortable with plenty of bed linens/blankets and towels. Kitchen is stocked with dishes, pots/pans, etc. Access to Sapphire Valley Rec Center a little over a mile drive away. We had some issues though. Upon our night time, rainy arrival, the stairs were poorly lit and slippery (not hosts fault), but no porch lighting on either. If you have mobility issues, access to the condo may be an issue. Our code didn’t work and appeared not to be reset. The host did quickly respond to a voicemail. Everything appeared cleaned, but we did cleaned up, assumed to be, dog urine on the wall and dog treats. Things can get missed, but when we texted the host, we got no reply. No “I’m sorry” or “let me get someone to disinfect that for you tomorrow.” The living room furniture smelled like dog with the rain/humidity, less noticeable when things dried out (we covered some furniture and got an air freshener). And, no dog with us either. Dishwasher dilemma-able to get it to run twice during our stay with lots of coaxing. Things break down, but when our host had the housecleaner reach out to us to tell us her tricks, we quickly realized host knew the dishwasher had issues. Again, nothing for the inconvenience. $5/person/day for Rec Center. Provide your own toiletries and TP as only enough provided for a few days. Listing needs to be updated with transparency and clarity; current pics, current costs and checkout responsibilities.
Wonderful townhouse with everything you could possibly need! Kitchen is very well equipped with “extras” as well. Plenty of towels, deck is huge and awesome, setting is quiet and pretty. We visited Stump House Tunnel and the Fish Hatchery in Walhalla, SC, on the way up then beautiful nearby waterfalls, Cashiers, Highlands, Brevard, and the grandkids really enjoyed Cradle of Forestry in beautiful Pisgah National Forrest. Would definitely stay here again in this lovely townhome. The resort property owners need to replace some rotten wood on the walkway and some street signs are missing so finding the townhome took a little figuring out, but these concerns do not at all take away from your experience once at/in the beautiful townhome.
The home absolutely met all of our needs. Beds were comfortable as was all of the furniture. The screened in porch was so relaxing and the view was lovely. Probably the best part was the use of the rec center near by. It cost us 12 bucks to be able to use it for 3 whole days. Our grandbaby loved the video games, putt putt golf, pool and corn hole. We definitely plan on coming back!!
This was the perfect stay for our family. The home had everything we needed, was a short drive to the resort, and had a cozy community feel to it, especially the little beach. It was one of the cleanest and most accommodating homes we have stayed in. We will certainly be back!
Very inviting, very clean, completely stocked with everything we needed. Relaxing, eye appealing decor. Thoroughly enjoyed the deck to warm up in the sunshine, the screened porch for relaxing and listening to the birds. The porch furniture was so comfortable. We were treated to seeing three deer as we were enjoying the evening on the deck. We would recommend this to anyone wanting to enjoy time in beautiful Sapphire Valley.
If I could give Kim's place 10 stars, I would! She is so easy to communicate with and provided everything and more that we needed. Her home was SO clean, comfortable (beds and couches are amazing!), and spacious for our family of 6. It's also been recently remodeled with very tasteful choices. We had weather in the 60's and got to enjoy the huuuge back deck, as well. It even has a latched gate on it, so our pup enjoyed it with us, without being able to run off. It's the quietest place we've ever stayed. So nice and peaceful. We also loved taking advantage of the Sapphire Valley Resort rec center nearby, which has a walking path, basketball court, playground, ping pong, indoor swimming, arcade, hot tub, putt putt, etc... The kids had so much fun and it's the best value for a family to buy the amenity cards when you come. It was too warm to tube or ski, but that's right there, as well. Restaurants, grocery, and amazing hiking spots all close by in Cashiers/Highlands area. Book this place, you won't regret it!
Great property for our family ski trip to Sapphire Valley. Property is 5 minutes from the resort and extremely well appointed. Owner communication was great. Would definitely recommend and stay again!
Had a wonderful time at this condo. Great location. Very tastefully decorated place with well stocked kitchen. Plenty of towels as well. Great restaurants & shops close by. Also enjoyed local hikes. Would definitely stay here again!
Kim’s place is very nice, even nicer then the pictures!! It has been updated very nicely!! She was a great host and helped us find other activities since the snow tubing and skiing in sapphire valley were not open yet because of temperatures. We will definitely be back!!
The townhouse has all the comforts of home. Great location and plan on returning.
Very easy check in and out. Nice quiet location.
Clean, nice area, great porch and all the things and more for a vacation away from home with all the little extras. Wished we had more time to relax on the porch and just read but our vacation was for hiking. We were able to hike NC, SC and GA.
I wish we were there longer! The place was awesome and had everything we could have wanted. It was a great location, clean, and well stocked. Host was super responsive. We would definitely love to stay there again.
