The house was as listed. It’s a nice home however one of the bedrooms smelled strong of cigarettes, the water pressure in the master shower was very low, throughout the stay we saw cockroaches in the house, the german shepherd next door has access to the backyard from a whole in the fence, & the power went out for a while due to wind.
Overall, a nice house in a quiet neighborhood. The property was very clean which my wife and I appreciated. It was very close to a playground which was nice for my daughter. The main problem I had was that the refrigerator was broken and had a constant slow leak that was annoying to continually wipe up. This wasn’t a huge deal because we didn’t stat very long, but it is pretty inconvenient to not have a working refrigerator. Also there was no apparent wifi, not really a big deal for me, but it was an advertised amenity so it should have been available. I only stayed here because I was visiting family nearby and I wanted my daughter to have a quiet place to sleep, and not deal with hotel noise. So the rental served its purpose for that. I would’ve rated it higher if the advertised amenities were available.
Great property
Very nice area and home. We cooked an awesome dinner the one night.
The location of this house is great...very close to Downtown/Discovery Park. The house is not equipped with anything listed on the ad. We showed up and had NO SILVERWARE. I called the owner and he stopped by with a bucket of silverware which I assume came from his house. We then realized there were NO TOWELS. We had 6 adults and 3 towels supplied. Once again called the owner and he stopped by with towels. We were there for a music festival so didn't really cook anything which is good because there is nothing in the house. No cups, a couple of plates, a pot and a coffee maker. Literally all the cabinets were empty. The owner was very responsive but at a point we were annoyed that we had to ask for things and stopped calling and just lived with it. The showers are tile floor with no shower rugs which made for an entertaining shower exit for all of us. The mattress need to be better, cheap blinds let all the light in. Overall not impressed. It should not be on VRBO until it is completely ready to rent.
We stay in the Sacramento area frequently and this was perfect. Clean house, well kept, and a host of modern amenities. This will be my first choice for future visits.
