Definitely recommend and will stay again if ever in the area
Very clean and had everything we needed. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking. Convenient place to stay while exploring “Cajun” country.
This was our second stay plan on returning again
Very nice, very well taken care of. Woukd definitely stay again
The House was perfect, very comfortable, quiet and really cute. Was close to everywhwere, we wanted to go. Sweet tea in the fridge and homemade turtles on the cabinet was a sweet jester. Was perfect for us would defstay again and highly recommend it to anyone.
Perfect, peaceful spot for our excursion to Avery Island. Jill's hospitality made a lovely stay even brighter.
This home is a perfect location if you are visiting Avery Island and Rip Van Winkle Gardens. The house was very clean and well maintained. I mentioned to the host that this was a birthday trip for myself. Upon my arrival, there was a delicious homemade cake made by the host granddaughter, fresh flowers, and the best sweet tea I’ve ever drank!! Our host live directly next door, we felt very safe and comfortable during our stay.
Great place. Felt like staying with family.
the whole place was ever so quiet we just sat on the porch and enjoyed the clean air it smelled so good with the cool coastal air oh yes a very nice hot shower with great water pressure was very enjoyable too
Everything was smooth and easy to rent and access.
It was the greatest stay ever. Hosts were awesome, friendly and Jill brought homemade sweet tea, pecan sandies cookies and fruit over! Loved the atmosphere and location was perfectly situated in the middle of all the sites we wante
Darren and Jill were exceptional hosts, we greatly enjoyed talking with them both and couldn’t have been happier with how generous and kind they were. Not only did Jill have delicious cookies with a welcome note attached on the table waiting for us, she also had some amazing sweet tea sitting in the fridge. My boys even commented that it was the best sweet tea they’ve ever had! The check in was easy peasy, the house was super clean, very well stocked, large and well equipped bathroom, amazingly spacious and stocked kitchen, comfortable living room, and it had great bed rooms. The decks were perfect for hanging out on with the kids, even though they preferred riding the bikes and playing with the porch cat. I felt at home. Especially with the farm behind the house. The location was in a quiet neighborhood and off the main road, but close to the highway and neighboring towns. What an awesome place to stay in Louisiana!!
It has been the best stay of all of our hotels during our road trip Houston - Miami. The place is so beautiful and the people are so nice that we wish we could have stayed there for a week or more to have the chance to get to know the area and also to enjoy the house.
This stay was en route for our road trip. Very close to Avery Island attraction. The home is located in an idyllic and green rural neighborhood, with agriculture down the road. Home is comfy, with great open living space, kitchen with plenty of countertop, and full dining table. The shower is excellent, and my kids loved the spacious bathroom. The bedrooms are comfortable, we slept great! Follow the owner’s directions to reach the house as Waze may send you down a farm route with lots of potholes.
My sister, my daughter and I wanted to experience the history of the New Iberia area. I wanted a place near Avery and Jefferson Island and New Iberia. When I found La Masion du Petite Bayou en Manse, I knew we three would love the homey porches and large trees overlooking a barn and corral with horses, cows, dogs and cats on the property. We were welcomed by the hosts with iced tea, homemade cookies, and fresh flower arrangements. Touches of south Louisiana flowored the home : Community coffee and rice. Everything we needed for a week's stay was available to us. We will definitely return.
My husband and I loved our stay here. It is in a quiet location off the main road but a short drive into town and only 5 mins from Avery Island! The house itself was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the ample outdoor seating for listening to night bugs and watching storms. The owners Jill and Darren were very friendly and welcoming. I could go on, but if you are considering booking this property just do it! You won’t be disappointed.
We loved everything about this home! It was clean, cozy, quiet and just minutes away from Avery Island. The owner Jill was so very friendly, welcoming us with sweet tea and delicious cookies, and she also recommended a wonderful place nearby for some great food!! We would definitely choose to stay again!! Thank you Darren & Jill for sharing your lovely home!
The location of the property was great for us since it was close to a wedding we were attending. What impressed us most was personal attention to details, like fresh cut flowers, ice tea, and biblical messages in various locations.
If you want to enjoy a true Cajun getaway, this is your place! The place is clean, quiet, and authentic. The hosts are friendly and open to sharing suggestions on where to go and what to do while staying in New Iberia. Truly a basecamp for Southern Louisiana.
We always enjoy staying here. Very clean and good neighborhood. Close enough to town. Beautiful place.
We’re traveling from out of town and enjoyed our 1 night stay. We visited the Tabasco factory and it was super convenient. They welcomed us with cookies and tea. We loved it.
This is a very well equipped home. Stand-alone house, very private and pet friendly. Layout is very comfortable. The hosts were charming and helpful. Close to town. Great lunch at Cafe Jefferson and amazing local shrimp we cooked at home. Be sure to take a ride to Konriko Company Store and on the back roads to see the crawfish farms. We will be back. We were 100% relaxed here. Great shower.
