Bellaire, Michigan
Summary:
Cozy 2-bedroom, 1-bath bungalow w/loft near Schuss Mountain, Torch Lake & and Bellaire, MI. We are a short walk to the Cedar River.
It's inspired by Scandinavia and the Danish concept of Hygge (roughly translates to Cozy) and sits on a private wooded lot. This is a place to cook, grill, relax, be cozy, explore, play games, read, take day trips, make memories and be inspired by all Northern Michigan has to offer. Hygge is about living in the moment and enjoying life's simple pleasures.
The Space:
We've done our research to make your experience as "Hygge" as possible. Everything in the bungalow was placed there to intentionally bring you an authentic, cozy experience.

Guest Access:
You'll have access to everything on the property: one wide patio, two bedrooms (one is lofted), a living room, a modern and fully-stocked kitchen, morning coffee, one bathroom, a private driveway, and a wooded back & front yard with new firepit.
The Neighborhood:
A true Pure Michigan Retreat. Surrounded by rolling hills, trees and wildlife, the bungalow is located 2 miles (5 minute drive) to Schuss Mountain; is 6.7 miles (13 minute drive) from downtown Bellaire, MI and Short's Brewery; and 12 miles to Torch Lake (15 minute drive). We are also a short walk to the Cedar River.
It is nestled into a cute area that is primarily populated with other vacation homes. The home, however, is isolated from the other homes and offers multiple acres of privacy in every direction.
Getting Around:
We have parking for up to four vehicles in our driveway and you'll definitely need a car to get around as there is no public transportation or ride share services in this area.
It's also a decent area to ride bikes around, if you like hills :)
Other Things to Note:
The location of the bungalow is both near and far from everything that the Torch Lake area and Bellaire have to offer. That means guests should plan to bring some snacks and food to prepare for meals, in order to guarantee the most comfortable stay!
Noteworthy:
1.) The loft is not suitable for guests with mobility issues or small children, due to the steep ladder required to access it.
2.) In the winter, we recommend guests have 4WD for getting into and out of the neighborhood which is nicely paved but a bit hilly.
3.) The home is 850 sq/ft, and while it is very adorable and cozy, it is best suited for a couple, small group of 4 adults or a family of 4.
Interaction with Guests:
Chris is the dedicated cohost and will be your point of contact during your trip.
It's unlikely that you'll meet him in person, but he is always available via the booking app, text, or mobile and is quite responsive to inquiries.
Please don't hesitate to reach out it you have any questions about the accommodations, area, or you booking.
Ps. If for some reason Chris needs to visit the property, he will notify and confirm with guests prior to coming out.
Very cute, clean and new cabin. Check in was easy, good communication with owner and great area to stay at. Cabin has a very good use of space, we never felt crowded at all with 2 adults and 2 kids. Will definitely stay here again.
