COVID-19 Update:
In light of the recent COVID-19 outbreak, we are waiving our cancellation policy for any guest affected by the Coronavirus. Plan your summer vacation with confidence, knowing that you will not be penalized if you need to make a last minute change.
We, at Property Management Specialists, want you to know that keeping our guests and staff healthy and safe is our absolute top priority. Our fabulous housekeeping staff is being extremely diligent in sanitizing our homes with hospital grade sanitizer. Disinfectant will be available for guest use during their stay as well. We invite you to remove yourself from the concentration of people and come enjoy some quiet time in the mountains. Several stores in Woodland Park offer online grocery orders and pick up; this is a wonderful way to stock up for your vacation, while still keeping some distance. We look forward to being able to provide your family a safe haven!
Property Managements Specialists presents Pikes Peak Vacation Cabins! We are a locally owned and operated property management company, and it is our goal to provide the highest quality accommodations for our guests.
Welcome to the Hawk Ridge Cabin! This mountain cabin sits on 5 secluded acres with aspen groves, rock formations, and abundant wildlife. This property is just Southwest of Woodland Park providing solitude and convenience.
The cabin itself is recently built and has been very tastefully furnished with personal touches to make you feel right at home. There are 2 private bedrooms, sleeping up to 4 guests.
The kitchen is fully stocked for your use, and there is an outdoor grill as well. After dinner, relax on the deck or stargaze from the hot tub. It simply doesn't get any better than this!
This cabin does have internet. Due to the beautiful, rural location of this cabin, the internet available does not include unlimited data. The internet works well for tasks such as emails and browsing, but it is inadequate for streaming, gaming, and video chats.
We will have to come back again.
We loved our time as a family in this beautiful and well appointed cabin. Kitchen is well stocked, beds comfortable, and lots of games for family. Beautiful porches to sit and watch the shaking aspen and wildlife. We absolutely want to return again. As many others have mentioned, the cabin requires travel on quite a bit of dirt road, so plan accordingly. One room has a full bed and no dresser or closet access for storage of belongings. Other 2 rooms have both closets and dressers. Worked fine for our needs, but something to be aware of if you plan to stay for a longer stay. Overall, highly reccomend.
Amazing cabin, we had so much fun!
Hawk Ridge was the perfect location for our “annual fall gal getaway”. Perfect for relaxation and fellowship; private and surrounded by nature. There is a road close by, however we saw very few cars. The fully equipped kitchen made it easy to prepare out favorite meals and snacks. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch sipping on morning coffee and engaging in meaningful conversation surrounded by trees, birds, deer, and the gentle breeze blowing softly through the windchime. Our absolute favorite part of our stay at Hawk Ridge was stargazing while soaking in the hot tub; no light pollution! After soaking in the hot tub with full and grateful bellies, we all slept so peacefully. The bedrooms were so cozy and the owners made sure the mattresses and bedding were of great quality. We cannot wait until our next stay at Hawk Ridge. It was a slice of Heaven only a little over an hour from Colorado Springs.
Cabin was laid out a little uncomfortable. Cabin was clean. Road getting into property was worse than terrible.
The cabin was perfect for a long weekend getaway. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything you need to prepare meals, and the fridge and cabinets even had some extras like pancake mix, spices, sauces, and butter. We enjoyed breakfast on the balcony with the chipmunks and birds, afternoons climbing the rocks and hiking, and our evenings were spent grilling, listening to music, and soaking in the hot tub under the stars. There were plenty of games and videos available in the downstairs living room but to be honest, the weather was so lovely we never turned on a television. NOTE: Apple maps took us to the house without problems, but you will lose cell service. The dirt road is maintained, but the drive is a bit long to go back into town for supplies, so we recommend stocking up before you go. Also, there is no dishwasher (which was NOT a problem), but you might pick up an extra sponge for cleaning if you plan to do a lot of cooking. The host does a beautiful job of cautioning guests about the rocks being steep and rugged, so if you plan to climb/play/explore, I would suggest packing or picking up a first aid kit just in case, as we didn't see one at the house but did pack some limited supplies. We can't wait to come back and explore during the winter!
The cabin is situated in a quiet, beautiful place - rock outcroppings, trees with plenty of solitude, privacy and space. It takes some time on the dirt roads to get in and out of the place, but we didn't mind this a bit. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well-stocked with basic supplies, dishes, and cooking utensils (bring plastic and/or aluminum wrap if needed). We enjoyed our time here. For us, this was a great getaway retreat!
Great place to stay. It is out of town a bit. A long drive to get to.
Great place for a get away. And I mean get away! The property is VERY out of the way, but that did not bother us too much. All attractions, whether in Canon City, Manitou Springs, or Colorado Springs are an hour to an hour and a half drive. There is about 15 minutes of Ok dirt road to the house. Other than that, everything was great...except the wifi, no cell service, but wifi on a satellite dish is never great so it was expected. If in the area again, we'd look into staying again.
Some frustrations with stay. Could not find landline phone and had no cell service so it was difficult to contact property management. Had to troubleshoot hot tub jets that stopped working ourselves. Downstairs toilet ran because part inside needed replaced. This caused water tank to be empty so we were without water three times. We brought firewood but wood stove was temporarily out of order. Several light bulbs were burned out upon arrival. Was told no blender but there was one in kitchen cabinet. Now the positives- hot tub was enjoyable once we got jets working. View around cabin was amazing especially rock wall. We saw deer in yard. Kids enjoyed family room. Adults enjoyed having lots of space.
