Bath, New Hampshire
Our Hidden Brook Cabin in the White Mountains is the perfect rustic retreat! Features a cozy wood burning fireplace for snuggling up on cold winter nights and a private outdoor deck and 3 season porch, great for listen to the babbling brook that passes right by the cabin. Very comfortable for couples or small families, close to the best hiking in the East, lakes, amazing ski resorts (Loon, Cannon & Bretton Woods), craft breweries, coffee shops, restaurants of every kind and sightseeing! This cabin is perfect for couples or small families seeking a private spot to enjoy nature. Full kitchen, bathroom with shower, three well appointed bedrooms, and fireplace. The cabin is situated off Rte. 112 (Kancamagus Highway) down a lengthy private driveway to a rustic cabin on a babbling brook that feeds the Wild Ammonoosuc River. This cabin is located in the town of Bath, close to great gold panning on the river, as well as the Big & Little Eddy for swimming. The cabin offers TV, DVD player with many titles, wifi, books and vintage games. Get truly unplugged and remember what it used to be like to relax. There is no cell phone reception, however you may be able to dial using the wifi. The wifi at this cabin is satellite wifi so it is good for surfing the internet, but latency issues will make zoom calls more challenging. The cabin's well water is not potable (drinkable) and should not be used for drinking or cooking. Please bring bottled water for this purpose. The cabin is within walking distance of the Swiftwater Way Station and only 5 minutes to Woodsville (Shaws, Walmart, Job Lot & Resturants). We are available, by phone or text as needed, but the guests will have the entire cabin to enjoy themselves. You need a car to get around, and AWD is advisable in the winter. The area, including the driveway, is quite hilly. Don't come up in the winter on bald tires! Studs are recommended for the driveway in the winter.
Cabin was wonderful and clean. Listening to the brook at night was so nice and relaxing. Great little vacation.
The cabin was very clean and very nice. Going by other reviews too I think maybe it just wasn’t the getaway we needed at the time? I found the furniture uncomfortable (bed was nice and fluffy, more just the couch and the chairs on the porch). And through no fault of the owners, I did end up having a bit of a stomach thing, and with a weak septic system I was afraid to ruin the place lol. Plus I just wanted a hot shower and we couldn’t get the water to be above freezing. I also had to double check because the listing says pet friendly and just a weight limit, but when I received the house manual the week of the trip (after I fully paid) it specified non shedding dogs and no dogs on the furniture, I definitely wish it would’ve said that more clearly in the description. They do say the Wi-Fi is satellite, but I didn’t really realize how bad streaming shows would be, so if you can - try to bring dvds. We ended up leaving a day early because we just couldn’t get comfortable. I think maybe if we had more planned and just used the cabin to rest it would’ve been better, but I was looking to just stay put and turn off my brain for a few days and unfortunately just couldn’t settle in
This was a perfect place for a getaway from the world. Me and my girlfriend greatly enjoyed ourselves. The cabin was clean and was excatly what we needed out of our little trip, which was a nice romantic getaway from our lives. The property managers were great in giving us all the information we needed, and in a way we were easily able to understand. Would very much recommend and visit again next chance.
Brook made sleeping easy. Fireplace and hot tub were enjoyed. Beautiful spot.
Everything was very rustic but being very nice. Very clean. We loved having a fire in the fireplace each evening. The “babbling” brook was so nice. The first morning we thought it was raining which was disappointing to us but then to our delight it was the sound of the babbling brook Disappointing was that we received the house manual very close to the time we left. The manual said we needed to bring our own sheets and towels which made us scramble to gather supplies. Wish we had received it sooner.
This was our 2nd visit and we really enjoyed our stay! Everything was clean and tidy and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. We used the hot tub a lot! We had some rain during our stay so we brought our ez-up canopy to put over the hot tub so it could be used rain or shine!
5 stars..cabin is so cozy and accommodating, nice little fireplace in the living room along with a fire pit outside…. Wood is on site cut, stacked and covered, the jacuzzi at night under the stars is relaxing! Best part is the Brook that runs behind the house you can hear it at night in bed. Will book again. 5 stars
Wonderful little cabin
This is a MUST for anyone needing some fresh air and recharging. The cabin was clean and inviting. We loved the hot tub and the yard. I would love to stay here again.
Great cabin if you are looking for the peaceful sounds of nature and to get away from it all, but still be in short distance to fun hiking trails and stores if needed! We really enjoyed our stay here with our 5 year old. She loved the board game library that was provided and we loved relaxing on the screened in porch listening to the brook! Everything was as described. Very cozy and homey!
Love the bubbling Brook and hanging out at the fire pit
Beautiful place
We all had a great time with lots of new memories. We enjoyed the outdoor and indoor fire place. Did all our cooking on the grill and enjoyed the hot tub. Very peaceful place to get away. This was our second time here, but not our last.
We had a fantastic experience renting this cabin for our honeymoon. The cabin is lovely and cozy and just what we were hoping for! Erik and Jen were very communicative and responsive when we had a question during our stay.
the place was nice, secluded and quiet. the road can be a challenge depending on time of year. it was very icy during our stay due to warm daytime temperatures. I would recommend a sand barrel. the hot tub was enjoyable. there wasn't any propane for the grill. the kitchen could use a few updated cooking pans. I do understand this is primarily a camp and it was fine for me. someone else may find it too rustic.
The only downside is the shower could be updated with better water pressure.
