We had an incredible stay at this special home nestled at the top of a hill in the woods. Everything was perfect and comfortable! Thanks to Heidi!
Starry Hill exceeded our expectations. The house and property were beautiful and well appointed. We lacked for nothing during our stay. Our kids loved running around the yard and playing with the basket of toys. My wife and I enjoyed looking at the stars and enjoying a fire at night. The area is great. Easy access to Woodstock and everything VT has to offer. Would go back again in a heartbeat.
We loved our week stay. The home was very clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and easy to work with. We especially enjoyed the screened porch. The trails were used by us every day. And it was a perfect location.
My wife and I rented Starry Hill for the entire month of October for our first trip to Vermont. It fulfilled our dreams of a comfortable cabin/house in the woods. Locals said the tree color was the most vivid ever and the weather was unusually wonderful. We loved it. Heidi and Robert were fantastic hosts. We have stayed at many VRBOs and B&Bs around the country. This was definitely one of the best.
Great property, remote yet just 10 min to Woodstock. We loved the fire pit , the stars, screened in porch and the super comfy beds. Great hosts, great family time.
This home is so quaint and comfortable! The bedrooms are large and the kitchen is well-stocked. Our family of 6, plus the dog, had a fabulous time skiing and enjoying the snow. Heidi and Robert are quick to answer any questions. A great choice!!
Extremely well appointed, wonderful history/story. The night sky is incredible on a clear, cold night. Hosts are exceptional. Thank you for a wonderful week!
We had the most amazing girlfriends weekend at Starry Hill! It is truly a special place. The home itself is cozy but spacious, and you can't beat the privacy. The drive to downtown Woodstock is quick and scenic. Even though the listing pictures are accurate, we were not prepared for the overall atmosphere; it was absolutely magical. The house is a perfect mix of old and new. Before we checked out we were already planning a return trip!
I cannot say enough about Starry Hill, what a beautiful home it is, and what great hosts Heidi and Robert were. The house, linens, and kitchenware were all very clean. I am no neat freak but this means a lot when on vacation. The beds were more than comfortable, the house had everything you needed to cook, get cozy, keep warm, play games with family and friends, take hikes during the day and visit Woodstock in under 10 minutes. We visited over a beautiful weekend in November but would like to return in all seasons!
When we arrived we found a rustic and stunning log cabin high on a hill. The inside looked like a 18th century cottage. Very spacious and charming. Our hosts Heidi and Robert were very friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect. Woodstock is charming but extremely busy in October with the fall foliage. This place was close enough to see everything but secluded enough for privacy. We hope to visit again in the future. Thanks Heidi and Robert!
What a beautiful, quiet, green spot away from it all! This house has everything you might need for your comfort with spacious rooms set up for quiet conversation, well-lit reading, game-playing, cooking, eating, and talking. Charming Woodstock is just a short drive away.
