We really enjoyed our stay. The home had everything and was such a cute and comfy place. The bed was very comfortable especially after a long day at the park. The sunsets were amazing.
My wife and I loved our stay, and would definitely stay again. Great communication with the host, and everything was as-described. Fairly remote, but with some neighbors. Surrounded by mountain views! For anyone planning on working remotely, the wifi is usable, but has a noticeable delay (video calls, etc) because it's via satellite. Overall 5 stars, we loved it!
We loved everything about this place! Hosts made check in easy, provided a binder with a bunch of info like local restaurants and fun activities in the area. I loved having a copy of Joshua tree book and park map, it provided so much info to plan out our day at the park. The little touches made it so much more special like the s’mores and wine. We will love to come back again!
My buddy and I were wanting a desert camping experience, ie sitting around a real campfire and taking in the nighttime serenity of the desert, but we’re getting a little older and we would rather have a nice small place that we can sleep in a comfortable bed and stay warm as opposed to sleeping in a cold tent. Desert Daisy Casita was perfect for our needs and then some! I was pleasantly surprised at the charm and comfort that the property provides. Heather is an excellent host. She was very accommodating, very responsive and very pleasant to work with. We were only there for a couple of days, not long enough… so we’ll definitely be considering a future return.
Our host was very communicative with us. She made herself available for any questions that we had and was very prompt to answer. If you are looking to be away from city chaos, this location is for you. A lot of privacy from any neighbors (which are at quite a disctance from you) The living space was perfect! The a/c kept us cool when it got to be 113 outside, the kitchen had everything we needed and more. Highlight for us was definitely the Chemex. The pool was perfect both during the day and the evening. The North entrance of the National Park is a quick drive from the property with no traffic issues. I would suggest you come prepared with what you need since the closest stores are quite the trip away from the property. This was exactly what we were looking for to disconnect and recharge. Definitely a place we will be returning to.
I really enjoyed my stay here, it is dog friendly and the hosts are very accommodating. Looking forward to staying here again!
the only thing not communicated in the add that's true is that the kitchen is pretty fully loaded. Even has a weigh scale for baking. Maybe cast iron and a couple more stainless steel frying pans and it would definitely be fully loaded. I can understand them not being in a rental though. Don't stay if you 're freaked out by coyotes or hate being waken by packs fighting, killing, mating outside. We stayed for 3 nights and it went on every night. Bring ear plugs if you'd rather sleep through it. There's life out there. I enjoyed it. unfortunately, it wasn't actually hot enough to enjoy the pool, although I soaked my feet in it a few times. we never met, but Hosts are great!
We went to visit Joshua Tree for the first time, and this property is very close by, which made our trip easy and convenient. This was a perfect getaway property to stay in. The house is clean, fresh, warm, personable, with cute interior designs. I love the outdoor area with the tank pool and view of the mountains, especially in the morning and early evenings during sunrise and sunset. You get what you see in the pictures, and the reviews are on point. Heather was very helpful and responsive, and made the process to book so easy. I definitely recommend this place!
The hosts were wonderful and the house is super cute and has everything you could need!! My son and I enjoyed our trip to Joshua Tree and staying here in the desert.
First the property, It’s out there, which is what I wanted; make sure you stop at the store first. It’s a nice plot of land with a horseshoe and fire pit. It can get windy but you can’t hear it inside the home. The home, Nice livable two bedroom with a full kitchen. A add on tv room makes for the cozy home for the person looking to leave stress behind for a few days. Over all a nice quite stay in a lovely home
The Desert Daisy Casita was a perfect get away for our family of four. The house is adorable and the hosts thought of all the details: kitchen supplies (including cooking oils), bathroom amenities, wine (though we never got around to drinking it), wood for the fire pit outside, graham crackers and chocolate for s'mores, extra blankets, etc. It was a bit windy when we were at the house in the late evening, so we didn't spend time on the front patio - but it had an area to relax and an area to eat outside, which looked really nice. The house was also nicely decorated with a lot of cute touches - it was even more charming than the pictures show and was perfect for our family of 4. The beds were comfy and the view of the night sky was phenomenal on a clear day! The drive to Joshua Tree was not very far and it was great entering the 'less popular' entrance so the lines going in and out of the park were non-existent. Plus, there is wifi so you can post your pictures when you get back from the park. The main road that the house is on is long and was covered with sand/dirt from the winds, so we had to drive pretty slow in our mini-van on that portion, but it's the desert so we can't fault that. Plus, it was very nice being away from it all in the peace and quiet. It is a bit of a drive from the nearest grocery store and restaurants (which the hosts state in the description), so if you have little kids who don't want to leave the house after a long day of hiking make sure you have snacks and meals to cook. Or just send out your husband to bring something back to the house. ;) I would definitely recommend staying here for a quiet and peaceful get away when visiting Joshua Tree.
The property was exactly as advertised. We had a slight issue while checking in but the owners immediately took care of it. We would definitely stay here again.
