Tucked away in a woodland setting with forest views from every window, this inviting Oregon Coast home is classic in every sense. As you immerse yourself in a grove of old growth sitka spruce with warm wood paneling from top to bottom, you'll feel your cares immediately drift away.
This multi-level home sits just west of the Oregon Coast Highway in Nehalem, walking distance from the Neah-Kah-Nie Mountain South Trailhead and a two-minute drive into the town of Manzanita. As you enter on the second floor, you'll be greeted by natural wood adorning the walls and lofty ceilings, as well as a row of windows framing the woods outside. Build a fire in the fireplace and take your pick of generous seating (including a built-in sofa, a window seat, and two additional couches) by the flatscreen TV.
Just around the corner are a well-appointed kitchen (with double ovens) and a dining table by the window. In the mornings, you can brew your coffee and bring it outside to the deck, so immersed in the trees that it was built around the trunk of an evergreen. In the evenings, retreat downstairs to the lounge, where a pool table, another TV, and a second kitchen await.
When it's time to turn in, you'll find four bedrooms split evenly between the two floors, each with its own accompanying full bathroom.
In the heart of the Northern Oregon Coast, you are just minutes from surfing, beachcombing, hiking, kayaking, crabbing, fishing, shopping, and dining.

I was there with my son and his wife, the property had lots of character, we enjoyed our stay a lot. two things could be improved upon, need more out door lighting on the deck and driveway area. Also there is a distinct musty smell, air fresheners would be a good idea.
We had a great weekend. The house was perfect and had a great time playing pool. Perfect location!
Very spacious house with separate living areas. Beautiful setting in the woods. Couldn't really decide if they were going for a retro type of atmosphere, or if it just needed some serious updating. Either way, it was in very good condition and everything worked fine. Pool table was a nice touch and we enjoyed it, however there were several cues there, but most of them were broken. Only thing that we all felt needed attention were the beds. Overall, very pleasant stay, enjoyed it very much......Thanks Vacasa.
I had a great stay at this house. Quiet neighborhood, five-minute drive to shops, restaurants and the beach. The interior is a bit dated but that’s part of the charm. I would have extended my stay except Vacasa was a nightmare to deal with. I recommend the home if you’re looking for a low-key getaway near the ocean. Don’t expect much from the local management team as they were useless.
We are a couple a venders for different events from Or, Wa and Az that need space. We usually have a dog and one in training since we train service dogs for disabled vets. This house had everything! The inside was very clean and welcoming. I read some other reviews about dirty carpets and all.. cool, act like you don’t have a stain on your floor owning dogs (because it’s a dog friendly home that is stayed in). I felt that was something people put on just to nitpick the house. It had everything we needed for 4 traveling adults with a medical alert dog in tow. We’re totally bringing the whole family back to this one. Probably our best stay in 2022!
This place was amazing! We loved it, it was roomy, clean, the views were lovely, and it was also well appointed. We loved the record player, with great record choices; The Cure, Joe Jackson..so fun! They even had a DVD player downstairs near the pool table- with a selection of DVDs! So fun for the kids to watch movies with us. There was wood paneling all over the place and high ceilings, and two nice kitchens. It was cool inside, even though it was hot outside (heatwave at the coast). They had really cool art in the house. We loved some of the paintings, especially the one of the artist in the master bedroom on the second floor. The one thing we would change is the flooring- it's carpeting, and it smells moldy. Carpeting at the coast is hard because it's always kind of humid/moist so things get gross in carpet quickly. It needs to be changed to wood or tile. That is the only reason the place got 4 stars instead of 5 stars. Great place except for the carpet.
We had an amazing time in this well appointed house. Easy walk to hiking trails, short drive to beaches and all the comforts of home. The deck was large enough for all of us to do yoga together and then watch the sunset. Four bedrooms with bathrooms allowed us lots of privacy. This is a great house for families. The children and adults each have a large gathering space to enjoy. Cooking together was easy in the open format kitchen with everything you would need.
This home was the perfect spot to spend a weekend away with the girlfriends! We loved the huge open living and dining spaces for hanging out and playing games. Everything was clean, organized and well equipped. The location was beautiful and felt so secluded yet was only a few minutes away from several beaches and the adorable town of manzanita. I would totally visit again and would recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful, private forest/beach getaway.
