Beautiful house right on the water. Couldn’t ask for a more gorgeous view. Woke up to a lovely sunrise every morning. Plan on coming back every year.
It’s a 3 million dollar view for sure! The house was not. We spent thanksgiving here and did have a good time. The kitchen was well appointed and everything worked except the disposal. Both master bedrooms are nice and the mattresses were comfortable. We did not have a terrible experience but some things were not as nice as expected. We lost Wi-Fi every morning at 9 and every night at 7, this is a big deal when you have 5 kids ranging from 5-13. The dock is damaged and there are no lights outside so we couldnt let the kids out at night. The pool and spa were ok (heating was confusing) but the lounge furniture is old. The landscaping was a mess (to be expected after a hurricane) but there was still debris and my youngest stepped on a nail. The last thing to note, the two extra beds upstairs are extremely uncomfortable, our kids still used them (5 and 7 yrs old) but and adult would not enjoy.
We stayed here for a week. The property is clean and was able to fit our large family comfortably. We had 9 adults and 2 kids.
We showed up on time, 4:00 p.m. Rude reception at property management company and finally, at 20 minutes after 4, we were given the keys but told the house was not ready. Arrived at the house around 4:30 and the cleaners were there, we waited until 5 to go in and found one gal sweeping the floors and washing the kitchen sink. She informed us the bathrooms had not been cleaned yet. Two additional cleaners showed up after 5 and “cleaned” the bathrooms. When they left, only the garbage had been taken from the bathrooms. Toothpaste still on the faucets, bathroom rugs were filthy and the showers weren’t touched! While outside waiting for the cleaners to leave, we picked up empty plastic bottles and kitchen plates with dried/spoiled food. There is an ant infestation problem in the kitchen. The carpet smells like an old musty pee’d in diaper so we bought air fresheners. We tried using the grill and there was no propane. The property book states there will be fuel for the renter’s use. Who checks the level of fuel? The same people who “clean” the bathrooms? We went and exchanged the tank. The showers and toilets on the main floor drained slowly days 1 & 2 and then stopped draining/flushing on day 3. Property managers had plumbers there the next day. They snaked the main drain and stated they are there all the time, but can’t do anything because there is a broken pipe. Showering with water backing up is disgusting and even worse when you are trying to get your toddlers cleaned up. ONE toilet out of three worked well all week. Flip side, the water view was beautiful and our family loved being together.
The house is amazing. Our family really enjoyed the large kitchen, family room, dining room, etc. The backyard was an excellent way to spend family time!!
