End the evening toasting marshmallows around the fire or playing games around our large family table. If the beach is more your speed, we are just four miles from Gladstone’s beautiful Van Cleve park. We’re also a stone’s throw from hiking/cross country ski trails, the Gladstone Golf Club, and the North Bluff disc golf course. The house was very clean, very nicely decorated, quiet and well furnished. The beds were very - very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. The towels were very fluffy. The view of the river was great. We totally enjoyed our stay. I would highly recommend this property.
Great little getaway spot! Very clean and simple!
This property is really nice for a relaxing getaway and unwind from the daily grind! Repeat renters here, love to come back to this property!❤️
The place was very relaxing. Kayaks and wood was provided! The house had many extra accommodations for us to use as well.
We loved it. I was impressed with all of the extras the owners did. Loved waking up every morning watching the sunrise over the Escanaba River while enjoying my coffee. We'll definitely be back.
Great stay, right next to the river. Clean, quite, and comfortable accommodations. Host was helpful and very prompt to answer any questions.
My husband and I took a last minute getaway with the dog while our kids were away at camp. We hadn’t been to this part of the UP before so didn’t really know where to stay. We feel so lucky to have found Phil’s place. Super dog friendly, very cozy and a beautiful space plus very conveniently located to restaurants and hiking trails. We didn’t make time to take advantage of the supplied kayaks but appreciated that life vests in like new condition were supplied. We did swim in the river which was awesome. Phil was super friendly and accommodating and gave us great tips about the area. Highly recommend his place and the area. We will definitely be back.
We recently stayed at this place and loved it! The property was nice and clean, and had a fully stocked kitchen. Some lovely touches included a variety of coffee flovours by the coffee station, wine glasses and a blender for drinks. Baking sheets, aluminum foil and a hand mixer were also to be found. The bathrooms had fluffy towels, and also a hair dryer. We appreciated the comfy mattress, laundry soap & softener, iron, and other essentials one might need. We enjoyed sitting on the covered porch and made good use of the provided gas grill. Heat and A/C functioned flawless. While eating meals, we enjoyed a great view on the Escanaba River from both the counter and the dining table. Kajaks & life vests were provided to use, as well as fire wood by the fire pit. Although it is not completely quiet, (some traffic noise from the nearby red bridge, construction across the river and shooting range can’t be helped) it was still enjoyable! This property is not isolated by all means as mentioned in the previous review, as there are neighbors and another rental next door. I am sure families with children and/or pets would love the large yard area to run around and play! We also had a furry visitor greeting us! Wi-Fi was a bit tricky to log on to, but the owner was easily reached and problems resolved with the help of a neighbor and associate. This property is a lovely find, it completely served our needs and we would stay here again and recommend it!
We had a great stay in this riverfront home. Close to everything but feels in the country. Really cute, clean place.
This place was outstanding ? Everything was brand new & totally set up for a stay away. So clean & clutter free. Great wifi & TV set up. We looked at the hotels in Escanaba & Gladstone and nothing would have compared. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer- highly recommend it!
The house was new, clean and included all the amenities we needed. The property is on the river with a small dock and a number of kayaks for your use. Our stay was excellent. I highly recommend this property. Note: you need to follow the driving directions provided by the property owner. Initially, I just plugged the address into Google Maps and it did not get me to right location.
