This little cabin was perfect for our 2 bight stay, close to Homer where we had an early morning check in for a very successful halibut trip. James was an excellent host and was kind enough to take the time to point us to some fabulous food during our stay. Everything was clean. I would love to have this cabin sent to my backyard in PA. Thanks for a great, enjoyable stay.
The cabin is remote from Homer (a 10 mile drive) and other attractions and is still in the process of being finished - the deck was being worked on while we were there. The hot water heater didn't produce hot water for the bathroom sink or the kitchen and the well pump is noisy. It is hard to find since the number sign by the road is overgrown with bushes and there is no sign out front. It is quiet and does have a nice view across the valley and hills and we did have a moma moose and her calf in the yard this morning!
This is a cozy little cabin with Moose in the backyard. Cute, warm, great deck, no Kuerig but did have 4 cup coffee maker. Washer/Dryer was a great addition for our long stay. Lots of parking. Huge grass area for our fur kids to run & do business (we tried very hard to pick up all the poop). Kyle & his Mom Brenda were awesome to work with & very responsive. We so appreciated their hospitality!!! Perfect location off main hwy & very quiet!
We loved the location, midway between Anchor Point and Homer. Very serene and picturesque. Grounds were well kept. Family of Sand Hill Cranes met us when we arrived, along with a baby moose! House was perfect size for two people, and had all of the furnishings we needed. Kyle, the owner, lives on property, and had good information to share about the history of the area. We would love to make a return visit!
Stayed 3 nights with no problems! Very cozy stay far enough away from town but close enough if you need anything lots of wildlife around this area! There was no grill as advertised but it helped us experience some amazing food on the homer spit!
The place was a bit smaller than I thought it would be but I would for sure stay there again. It was immaculate and the owners went above and beyond to make us happy and comfortable. In the field next to the house, each day we saw a moose with a brand new baby or two moose that look like they are a couple. They also have a crane that paces up and down the driveway every day. All day! I miss it already and would with no doubt stay there again.
My husband and I spend a week at this perfect little cabin. It had everything that we needed. Having the washer/dryer unit was a big plus.
Perfect
His is a very comfortable and quite place to stay, with an amazing view from the porch, so much we extended our stay for two more days. The location is half way from either Homer or Anchor Point boat ramp. The host lives next door, he gives you privacy but his response time is very fast if you email with a question. I can’t recommend this place enough. Thank You!
Our stay was just what we were hoping for. Staying outside of town and hoping to see some wildlife. We saw a cow and calf moose! It’s a short drive into Homer and the drive in is spectacular. The cabin is small and clean, the only downside was no tv and internet was very spotty. We couldn’t connect most days. Other all I would stay again!
check in was super easy, the host was very friendly and attentive to communications with a late check in. It was a nice surprise to have a mother moose and her two calf in the yard each morning. A very relaxing stay! I would definitely recommend to anyone
My husband and I came and slept there one night in order to go halibut fishing next day. Theres everything you can need for a short stay with 2 individuals. We did smell a sulfur smell from the water in the kitchen. Let the owner (who was super friendly and responsive) know and they were thankful we made them aware. It is a little more remote than I realized but overall I would recommend!
