Asbury Park, New Jersey
Recently renovated Victorian home 4 blocks from Ocean Club beaches. This home has 8 bedrooms. The house sleeps 12-14 people comfortably, 16 if needed. The home has a new updated kitchen and outdoor shower and plenty of room to entertain. Close to ocean beaches as noted and close to Cookman Avenue restaurants and shops. It doesn't get more central and convenient then this. The house has a delightful wrap around front porch and a quiet rear deck with a state of the art Viking Grill. The house has a driveway with parking for 2 cars. Free parking also in front of house.
This is the second year in a row our group stayed at this beautiful home for Columbus Day Weekend, and we will be definitely be back again next year! House is very clean, well organized with plenty of furniture for large groups and a very well stocked kitchen! Great location - about a 5 minute walk to the boardwalk. Also very nice owner, easy to communicate with make this an overall great place to stay! Highly recommend!
My family and I stayed here for 7 nights. The house was clean and offered plenty of space for us to hang out. The location is great, and the fact that Andrew, the property manager, has a locker at the beach was very convenient. Unfortunately, our experience was not all positive. There were many ants by the kitchen sink; the skylight in the sunroom started to drip water after a heavy rain. But most importantly, those of us staying on the top floor (4 adults and 4 kids, including an infant) experienced significant respiratory symptoms (mostly congestion, but also some difficulty breathing) during our trip. We came from two different households, so it is unlikely that we all had preexisting illnesses. In the middle of the week, a contractor from a roofing company knocked on the door and said they had been scheduled for a repair. We had no prior knowledge that the contractor would show up, and initially refused entry. A little while later, Andrew called and asked if we would be willing to have them come in to do their work. Apparently, prior tenants had suspected some kind of mold issue in the closet adjacent to two rooms upstairs, due to a leak. We feel that Andrew should have disclosed this potential health issue to us before our stay. To his credit, he has scheduled an air circulation test and says he will share the results with us. Until this issue is resolved, we can't recommend this property to others, despite its many positives.
We had a Saturday-to-Saturday rental. The rental included access to beach chairs and umbrellas which were stored in a locker on the beach. We were provided with the locker location and lock combination for the locker. Several of us tried to get the lock to open but we were unsuccessful. I contacted the host on Sunday morning to let him know that we were unable to open the lock. I contacted him four times on Sunday expecting to get a reply at any time. We didn’t bring our beach chairs and umbrellas from our home because we were assured that we would be able to access the locker at the beach. On Monday we gave up on hearing back from him and went out to buy beach chairs and umbrellas. While we were out shopping for beach chairs and umbrellas I received a reply from the host letting me know that the lock was going to be replaced shortly. The lock was replaced and we were able to access the locker on Monday. It was quite disappointing that we lost out on beach time for all day Sunday and part of Monday. The house met our needs and had adequate space for our party of ten.
This is a real gem, It's an amazing house with great access to everything Asbury Park has to offer. The house has 8 fine bedrooms with excellent bedding, and wonderful shared spaces on every floor for gathering, eating, reading, relaxing etc. The porch and decks are wonderful. The host and property manager are friendly, helpful, and really want you to have a great experience. Highly recommended!
Worked great for a group of friends in town for a wedding. Clean, huge, charming, close to everything!
This property is walking distance to everything Asbury Park has to offer. Easy access to get in and out of the house and big enough for the 11 of us that stayed there. We loved the house and were able to utilize all areas.
I rented the house for my wedding and had family of all ages staying there and it was very nice and plenty of room for 14 total people. Overall it was clean and had everything needed. Strict smoking rules but not an issue for us. It was very quiet even between floors. I would highly recommend the house.
Had a great time with family.
Andrew is truly amazing and accommodating. He went above and beyond to answer all of my questions and the property was even better than expected. Very highly recommend.
Stayed here with several friends for a holiday weekend and we enjoyed it very much! Very clean, comfy and roomy home ideal for larger groups. Kitchen is well equipped with everything you need for cooking and eating. Nice backyard for hanging out and relaxing. The house is only a 10 minute walk to the beach, and the boardwalk is a great attraction as well. Highly recommend!
This house exceeded our expectations! It is so gorgeous in person, plenty of space, and very clean! I have stayed at plenty of properties but no home has been fully stocked as this house was. Very close to the beach (4 blocks), amenities, restaurants & bars! Andrew was so responsive & helpful during our stay! Definitely deserving of 5 stars, thank you so much!!
The house is wonderful, and Andy and Lee made the whole week even better by being available for questions. Lee brought his own beach chairs over for our use, answered all our questions, and was generally a kind and helpful person. My brothers and sister and I, our kids and their partners were able to cook huge meals for 16 people every night - almost everything we needed was in the kitchen for our use. The house is comfortable and large enough for everyone to be together or hang out in small groups both inside and outside. We would love to return!! Only suggestions - because of the air conditioning, the windows have storm windows up to discourage opening. While we understood the need for this and support decreasing energy usage, I would have preferred to be able to turn off the AC at night and open windows to get the lovely ocean breeze coming in..... also - being coffee snobs, we brought our own french press pots as there is only a Mr Coffee - but hey, all possible if at least some people drive to AP...... Thank you Andy and Lee
This was a great stay! We had 11 adults and 5 children that fit perfectly! Each floor has a living area if needed to get away. Each bedroom is a great size for all your needs. The dinning room gives space for everyone! This house is bigger than we were imagining from the pictures. Andy is an awesome host and we would recommend to anyone!
This beautiful home has plenty of space and is clean , well appointed. and in a great location. We stayed here with our extended family for our son's wedding....just perfect!
We had a great stay over the Memorial Day weekend. The house is very big, with 4 bedrooms at the second level and 4 at the third level. All bedrooms have plenty of room, with nice tall ceilings. There is a den upstairs, a sitting room on the second level. Downstairs there are expansive spaces for entertaining: living room, dining room, kitchen, sun room. There is also a very nice patio in the back with bbq grill right off the sun room. The kitchen is stocked with everything one would need. The house is close to the beach, 4 blocks away from the boardwalk. Our group really enjoyed all the house had to offer. And especially all small little touches of old world decor to the high end kitchen appliances. We would love to come back.
Stayed in the house for 4 nights. We had 11 people in our group. Lots of room to sit and talk. The dinning room table even fit all
