Great place to stay with pets while showing at Tryon Horse park. 30 minute drive. Hosts were very nice.
The house and property are great especially if you are looking for a laid back environment with a lot of nature excitement. It is centrally located to many wineries, restaurants, Tryon Equestrian, and points of interest. The best part is sitting on the front poarch listening to nature and the river. The property manager is great to work with and everything we needed was provided. We highly recommend this property but keep in mind it is secluded and if nature and the outdoors are what is desired, the property will not disappoint.
Chelsea's place is absolutely perfect! We stayed the week of Christmas, so things around the area were pretty quiet. Our dogs loved all of the acreage to run, sniff and explore! The kitchen is pretty well stocked, and the living quarters are comfortable. There is a trailhead at the base of the driveway. We saw a few hikers each day, but they were all very quiet and respectful. We enjoyed our stay, and think you will too!
It was great. Relaxing and peaceful. Host had everything we needed. Only thing I'd suggest is lighting for the driveway.
We loved everything about this cabin. It was very clean. There were 6 of us that stayed and our 3 fur babies. There was plenty of room for the dogs to run outside. We loved the front porch swing. We went to chimney rock one day and road around lake lure and went to Hendersonville. We got to walk the green river gorge trail and we also went tubing. Everyone we met was so nice. We even got to see a black bear. It walked right in the yard. It didn't bother anything and went right back off into the woods. I will most definitely be staying here again.
I booked this home for three nights with my dad and two young kids, and we had a ball. There’s a tubing place across the street that is awesome for young and old. Trails everywhere. A place to access the river is across the street, though it’s narrow. Regardless, my kids loved going across the road to swim and fish. We also brought my dad’s dog, who also enjoyed the home. WiFi was great. Owner was very quick to respond to our questions.
This was our Third stay at the Grace’s & Papins’s cabin and we are already planning our visit for next year. The cabin is rustic, but extremely clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with all you need for an extended stay and the grill is always ready to use. The hosts are very friendly and responsive. The cabin is a perfect jumping off point for all of the activities the area has to offer. We look forward to our visit next year.
Very clean. Second bathroom could have topped it. Not a fan of the snaked road to the property. ???
We loved our stay here. The location was amazing. We spent most of our time on the Green River, fishing swimming and exploring. The little sandy beach was so nice to have all to ourselves but you will see the tubers floating down the river. We enjoyed a campfire, so beautiful in the middle of all those trees. Our dog loved the field, she literally frolicked., it was so cute to watch her. The house is what we expected not super luxurious at all but very comfortable and had everything we needed. No issues with anything inside the house at all. We rented this house for the amenities outside and would highly suggest to families who love the outdoors. There are several beds upstairs but only one room. I could see bringing some more kids with us next time (Friends, Cousins, etc). We received timely communication from the owners and had no major issues. Would definitely rent this house again and plan to. Thanks for sharing this gem with us!
We loved our stay at Green River Ranch and words just can’t convey how beautiful the ranch and the Green Cove River and gorge is. We wanted to spend time fishing, swimming, tubing and just relaxing and we got all that and more!!! We were most appreciative of the excellent WiFi coverage and the fact that there is a landline at the cabin for emergencies as you are basically off grid. But we could still enjoy movies on the smart TV and the cabin had a selection of DVD’s, books, and games. I would suggest reading all the reviews before you come to the cabin and then make your own plans for example someone shared to bring extra blankets, so we packed extra… and we didn’t need extra blankets as we were quite comfortable, so it’s subjective. Someone else said the water pressure was not good but I loved the shower and the view of the woods from the large window in the shower!! It was a highlight of my evening each night!!! The cabin is stocked with paper products but we needed more paper towels and toilet paper. Someone said they couldn’t find the toaster but it was in the cabinet but I couldn’t find a wine opener but fortunately I always pack one just in case. We absolutely loved the porch!!! One of our party had a foot injury and could not hike much so the porch is away to keep an eye in all the things!!! You will definitely see wildlife here as we all spotted some deer and lots of birds and squirrels and heard some owls late at night. The River access is not far but you do have to cross the road, we did not mind that as first of all we were all adults and the road is not right at the house, there is a huge field for privacy and being so close to the game land we kept our dog leashed for his safety! The owners very thoughtfully have left lattice pieces out to block the porch entrances out and that worked perfect for us and our dog hung out on the porch with us!!! Plenty of tubing close by and hiking trails and everyone we ran into was so friendly! Pro tip…bring all your groceries and any over the counter meds with you. One of us needed Benadryl and it’s about a 15 minute drive and two miles up the switch back to get to Dollar General. Minor inconvenience to enjoy all that Green River Ranch has to offer though! Oh and our campfire’s in the field in the evening were just amazing and you can see all the stars and fireflies!!!! We hope to stay here again in the future!!
