We truly enjoyed our stay beautiful location quiet. We caught the fall leaf change.
Everything was as described. It's a secluded location away from any road noise and the house was clean. No complaints.
We enjoyed our stay. Our host was great!
Nice and quiet area. Beautiful view of the damn and river. We had a few deer that would hang out around the apple tree right outside of the living room window. The house was perfect for my husband and i and our 2 teenage kids.
The property and house were everything we asked for and them some! View was amazing every morning and plenty of wildlife to see. The host was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area which was a huge help. My family and I had a wonderful time and would definitely stay again in the future.
Clean and Practical
The house was perfect for a smaller family - had everything we needed in a quiet location. Perfect spot if you're wishing to stay closer to Lake Michigan in the UP. Host was helpful and friendly, providing local information we requested.
Perfect house. Super quiet. Great location. Would stay again.
The photos don't do it justice, its in an incredibly quiet and peaceful. We used the house as a homebase for day trips. It was very clean and comfortable. Would recommend and stay again. Plus, a darn cute husky pooch!
Loved house.
My wife, daughter and l came up at the end of December. We had a great time, house is very nice, and the beds were comfortable. Marcus is a great guy!
We visited for a quick get away to watch our daughter play college softball. My husband and I and three of our children stayed at the home and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We embarrassingly broke a main water line in the basement playing pool one evening! The owner came over late at night, helped out and fixed the problem so quickly. We thoroughly enjoyed our quick weekend-we talked about extending our trip but work schedules would not allow. We would love to come back and visit!
We were looking for a getaway at the last minute and this place was absolutely perfect, thank you so much for everything ?
Good value
Owner has robust handrails on all stairs. We are overweight senior citizens, and stairs are not always easy for us, so we appreciated the safety. The house is 10 minutes from the waterfront in Gladstone and 15 minutes from all the convenient shopping in Escanaba. We would stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay very much. Cool, old house that has been well taken care of. Very comfortable for a family getaway.
We stayed there before and will probably stay there again.
The area is very quiet and easy to get to. Nice place to get away and unwind. Centrally located to tourist attractions including the Iron Mine, casino, Munising, Lake Superior and Lake Michigan. The house itself is older but we didn’t mind at all. Had zero issues. Owners live on site but keeps to themselves and don’t bother you. There is a place to do a little fishing if interested. On our last night a doe came into the back yard and fed on the apple tree. Literally 20 feet from the house. Highly recommend this Vrbo
We were wishing that we had more days to spend at this property which is located on the Escanaba River adjacent to one of the orginal dams. The property is less than ten minutes from Gladstone (and the lake Michigan), which we found to be a charming town. The house was sparkling clean and confortable. There was only the two of us, but the huge kitchen and the yard would be a special asset for families. The owner, Marcus, told us the story of the restoration of the property which was part of the original train depot! He also gave my partner, a novice fisherman, fishing tips. We definitely will plan a return trip!
This was more than the perfect place to stay for our little group. Spacious and just out of town in a nice location on the water. Would easily stay here 10/10 again!
Loved the old farm house feel. Reminded me of my great grandparents house when I was a kid. My son loved the short walk to go fishing. We had a great time except for that nasty storm that came through at night. My youngest daughter loved playing pool on the mini pool table.
Had a wonderful long weekend. Marcus was a great host. Everything was clean. Very quiet, away from town but close enough for great restaurants in the area. If I were to nitpick, better silverware and glassware in kitchen would have been nice.
My family really enjoyed the house and the surrounding property. Thank you!
Great place and location for our annual hunt. Owner (Marcus) was friendly and accommodating.
This was a wonderful stay for exactly what we needed for our trip to the UP!! House was perfect for our needs. It was nice watching the ice melt on the lake in front of us through out our days here. Will stay again!
Wonderful place off the beaten path. Very easy check in process, and the house was well equipped with items to make the stay comfortable.
Owner said day of arrival the whole area covered in ice. When told, I was 3/4 way there. On arrival. He said would put ice next day. 4 days later some ice went down. I had to buy salt so my wife could walk around vehicle.
Was as expected. Clean and simple
