Crescent lake, Oregon
A guest suite attached to my house with private entrance. One bedroom with a full bathroom. A cute quiet place to stay if you just need an overnighter or couple of days while exploring the mountains. Great for a single person or couples getaway.
Weird location off a gravel area. VRBO is connected to main house. It would have improved our experience significantly if the location were marked. Instead, we used MapQuest to the only address available (limited/no internet) at the time, which was an address to a no trespassing location who's owner was less than thrilled that VRBOers continued to come there. We later found the correct address. Again though, if it were just marked better... The inside lay-out was nice. It was clean. A little odd, but would stay there again.
The owner is very nice and the house was very clean and cozy
My wife and I needed a place to stay while in the area for the Waldo 100k trail race, and Donna’s place was only about 10-15 minutes from the start/finish. Donna was very friendly (and so is her dog). We really just needed a short term base camp for our stuff and to sleep, so this worked perfectly for us. The only thing we wish the place had was a kitchen sink.
The property, down a gravel road, was rundown. No decent views. Unfriendly host. The place smelled stale. Aside from the new flooring, mini 'fridge and shower, everything, including the linens, was old thrift store quality. There was no AC or ventilation without opeing the window, but the screen wasn't fixed in place, so mosquitos could come in. We were anxious to leave. It was way over-priced!
We were looking for a small off of the grid location to minimize fireworks for our dog as we traveled from California to Washington. This worked perfectly for that. Homeowner was easy to communicate with and responded quickly.
Donna was communicative, responsive and thoughtful. Be sure to read the description carefully. With the recent snow storm, the driveway would have been tough without 4 wheel drive. The kitchenette was perfect for breakfast. We ate lunch on the trails and dinner at a Manleys and it worked out great! There was just enough space for 2 adults and 2 huskies. We will definitely book again!
If you are looking for a place to just relax, sleep and head out to play on the slopes this is a great place. We would recommend an all-wheel or 4 wheeled drive vehicle to get into driveway if visiting during winter.
