Manzanita, Oregon
446 Ocean (MCA 959)
This charming woodland home is like a tree-top oasis with its long wrap-around deck suspended over trees—you’ll be glad to soak up some sun and listen to birdcalls with your morning coffee. Indoors a large great room with a vaulted ceiling has lots of comfortable plush seating, a TV/DVD and an extensive movie library. A dining area looks out over the trees and a fully equipped kitchen assures you can cook what you’d like during your stay. A queen bed in a studio-style bedroom off the living room combines with a king master suite for sleeping accommodations on the main floor; on the lower level a separate sleeping room with two twin beds is next to a large bonus room with sofas around a TV. There’s an added bonus, too—a small sauna to heat-soak your tension away! Despite your seclusion, the beach and Manzanita village are ten minutes away on foot. A hop in the car will take you up the coast to Cannon Beach or hiking on Neahkahnie Mountain. Grab your friends and spend some time in this forested retreat in beautiful Manzanita!

All cleaning policies meet or exceed CDC standards and recommendations. Our team wears new masks, gloves and shoes covers each time they enter home to prepare it for a new stay. We clean and disinfect all hard surfaces and high-touch items such as appliance handles, light switches, door knobs, remote controls, etc. We also clean and disinfect all dishes/glassware, silverware, bedding, towels and other linens as well as tubs and toilets. Meredith Lodging has added the extra measure of a pre-check-in inspection to make sure all of our cleaning and disinfecting procedures are complete and to our standard before you arrive.
Once it passes inspection, your home sits empty until you arrive for your contact-free check-in. Additionally, if your home features a private hot tub, rest assured it is disinfected, treated and cleaned thoroughly after each departure so that you and your guests can enjoy it with peace of mind during your stay.
Beautiful home with plenty of room, great forest views. Close to the shops and the beach.
Sadly this property looks nothing like the pictures. It’s extremely dated, run down and depressing to be inside. The beds are lumpy and sloped towards the center. Many things inside are ancient and in need of repair. It’s a sad, sad, tired place. Also not super close to the beach or town but a good walk away (not great for elderly people (or older dogs) or young children). Poor communication from the host. We love Manzanita and we so excited for our stay but this house is so depressing that we were more than ready to check out. high fees made this much more expensive than the listed price. I’d say it’s the worst property we have ever rented. I’m writing this because I wish there would’ve been an accurate review of this property when we booked it. Sadly there was not. I noticed a recent review was pretty accurate, unfortunately it was written after we had booked. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.
The location was secluded enough for privacy but yet close enough to walk to town. The house is definitely more dated than expected. It had a very 60s vibe and smell. But the house was huge, plenty of seating and was able to log onto our own Netflix. Our checkin was late due to housekeeping. We were not able to check in until after 5, over an hour later. Didn’t offer to let us stay longer or a slight refund. Just a sorry.
We have stayed in many short-term houses over the past 8 years, and we have never given a bad review. Overview: Our family of 6 & 2 dogs stayed here 5 nights in June. The house is on a wooded lot on a hilly street with easy parking for 2 cars. It is a downhill 10 minute walk to the beach and downtown. There is a 2-sided, narrow deck from which to enter the house. Queen bedroom opens to main living area. King bedroom is further down the hall across from the bathroom. The galley kitchen opens to living area. Downstairs is a twin bedroom, nice living area and a bathroom with shower. Pros: Lovely open living area with lots of comfy seating Lots of light from large picture windows Ceiling fan in living room Like new, comfy couches downstairs Handy laundry room with entrance close to driveway Cons: No dishwasher (found dirty dishes in cupboard), no dishcloths or sponges & broken drain stopper No hand soap or body wash provided! Only 1 sample-size shampoo & conditioner for 6 people Only 5 small rolls of toilet tissue & no tissues Dining room table had only 4 chairs Only 6 place settings - constantly washing dishes Tea pot provided - rusted out Coffee grinder broken Broken leg on love seat All mattresses old and worn No space in cluttered closets to hang clothes, many dressers. Mgmt company was notified of issues, promised corrections, never showed up or called back! Property has great potential, but is badly managed!
not as nice as the pictures, not especially well located if you have elderly or small children, needs repairs and more comfortable beds
Stayed here to do a maternity/ family photography shoot on the beach. One of the best places I've stayed at.
We loved the location - so easy to walk to the beach or downtown Manzanita.
