It was not very clearly marked and the outdoor lights where not good the house was not very clean and could use some fixing up the one door has part of part of the seal missing so there where some bugs in the house could be a very cute place if fixed up some and if your bringing a big family bring some chairs to watch TV unless you want to sit on the dining room chairs or the floor
Well equipped and great location.
This home was exactly how it was on the listing. Overall I was impressed with the home and the amenities. Just a side note, looked to be some trash outside in driveway (not from us but possibly was under snow that has recently melted) and the living room closet had toys and a puzzle strung out on the floor. Also, we wanted to grill but propane tank was empty. Other than these items, with kids, we truly enjoyed not worrying about them getting into unwanted items. It was well set up for a family. Also really enjoyed the fact they were already signed into streaming devices so we had no worries trying to recall our own login information.
The location and hot tub were amazing and honestly worth the money. However, there were several small things that could have been better. The handle on the oven was broken when we arrived, and appeared to have been badly superglued in the past. One of the bedrooms has several weird spots/holes on the wall, and the sliding door doesn’t lock. There also aren’t many baking supplies (no baking sheet, no measuring spoons) which is totally fine if I had known to bring my own. Wonderful vacation and I definitely reccomend this property, but the above small issues would have made our experience better.
It was a nice surprise to find a place like this. Just a few minutes from downtown Leavenworth, this house packs everything you could think to make your stay practical yet comfy. We went during the winter. The house is well climatized so, zero problems with heaters. There are even extra space heaters in the closets should one of the wall heaters malfunction... well thought... Both bathrooms in working condition so no problem there to serve our 10 party group. Kitchen has everything you would think for basic use. Stove, conventional and microwave ovens, a nice coffee maker, dishes and pans, silverware, dishwasher, toaster, rice/slow cooker. Laundry room with washer, drier an sink. Smart tv in the living room and in all the bedrooms but one. The living room will accommodate 5-6 people seated. It could be better if it was a sectional instead of a three seater + two 1 person sofas. Plenty of board games are available. Covered front porch, huge patio deck with a gas grill, and basic patio furniture. Outside, we had the opportunity to soak in the jetted hot tub... sooooo nice and relaxing, specially during the night! There is barely no cell signal over there but that wasn't a problem as the WiFi is super fast. Just turn on the WiFi Calling on your phone and you're good to go. Be aware that there is no office in the house or even a office desk. If you need to use your computer you'll have to do it either by the dinner table (high table with high chairs or over your lap by the sofa or in one of the bedrooms. If you're going during the winter with snow/ice be advised that the driveway is slightly sloped and any kind of enhanced traction is a must to access the property (AWD, 4x4, chains or traction tires). Bring some ice melting to spread on the steps as they become really slippery/dangerous (hey, if it's winter in the Cascades, you now the drill). Bring your food, seasonings, beverages, snacks and enjoy, and relax, and take it easy... We loved this place! IMPORTANT: W A T E R There is a natural occurrence of sulfur in the water in this area. The smell may be noticable when you first get in the house, as the vapor may need some time to dissipate as you start using the house. Don't worry, it'll go away... We had a pleasant 3 wick candle lit all the time and it took care of it in a few minutes. If I can give you an advise: open the faucets and let the water run for a minute or two. All normal...
When we arrived the yard/driveway was filled with trash. We immediately communicated with the property manager who assured us it would be cleaned up by the following morning. It was not cleaned at all before we left. I requested a partial refund which was denied. Although the house itself was in fine condition, I would not recommend Vacasa rentals.
We found the neighborhood to be a little sketchy. Driving up to the house, there are several houses in disarray. Broken car parts, broke down vehicles in the yards, etc. There have been some recent upgrades, that look nice, but several things still needing maintenance and repairs. Wiggly door knob on a door, missing weather stripping on a door, heater vents falling off. Missing screws to fixtures and light covers, everywhere. Broken window handles, unable to open windows. Broken table stools, broken handle on the freezer door. Freezer not keeping items frozen. Loud squeaky doors, and wood flooring. The stove had cleaning chemicals left on the bottom of the oven. So, everything we cooked would burn, and the chemical would smoke the whole house out. There was a stench of raw sewage every time someone would flush a toilet, or run the washing machine. The TV downstairs was not working, and took us 45 minutes of untangling the mess of cords and wires to get it to work. Several window shades were not the proper length for the window, so you were woken right at dawn with the sun blaring right into your face. I room had no blind on the window at all. No green grass in the yard, just a bunch of brown dead grass. And only 4 outdoor chairs to use. 2 were ripped and in disarray. It doesn't really hold 12 people comfortably, with only 2 bathrooms. And not 1 single, central place we could all gather at the same time. I emailed 5 times, about getting a late check out. No one from Vacasa ever got back to me with an answer. And the cleaning crew arrived right at 10am. With all of these things, it was not worth that high of a price. I have definitely stayed at nicer places, for a much more reasonable cost.
Good location to Leavenworth and Wenatchee
The price is great, the location is far enough away from Leavenworth to get away from everything, it was very clean, and there is plenty of room for a large get together.
We take an annual guys trip and this place is exactly what we were looking for. We appreciate the owners taking great care of us. Thanks!
House was very clean . Lighting in dining area could be better. Kids enjoyed the cubbyhole sleeping areas. Unfortunately, the hot tub was empty and we were disappointed about that since it was one of the reasons we picked this house. Maybe it has a leak? Also, one of the bedrooms had no bed, just a mattress on the floor. We could not find any checkout instructions, so just took garbage out. All in all, we were pretty comfortable there.
Had a great time and exceeded our expectations!
Our family had a lovely time staying at the Guesthouse. It’s not new or fancy, but a great place to enjoy the hot tub or family dinner after a day of fun in the snow! And had plenty of room for our extended family with all the kiddos. The bbq wasn’t working great and we had to improvise with the coffee pot as well but hopefully those can be easily fixed.
