Sweet place to gather with family, walking distance to ponds, so quick to downtown Wellfleet, we'll be back!
This was a great property for multiple generations. Wonderful dining area for family dinners.
We really enjoyed the master bathroom and were SO grateful there was AC in the house. The kitchen is well equipped and we really appreciated the large dining table and lounge areas on the main floor. Unfortunately the basement and guest house were too damp/moldy for some of the members of our party to stay in them, so we had to rearrange who was sleeping where. I appreciate how responsive the management company was to this issue with bringing a dehumidifier over for the guest house. It was challenging however before the dehumidifier arrived how damp the guest house was on rainy days - the sheets were damp, pages were curling on books, etc. If family members didn't have mold allergies, I would definitely consider staying here again as it is a nice space.
Lots of space lots of light, clean and welcoming for kids too!
A few things for travelers to be aware of: (1) the house is very damp in the basement and you will need to empty the three dehumidifiers in the basement to keep it running. (2) the house is located off a one lane, bumpy dirt road (3) check-out time is 9am. We asked for a later check out since no other renters were coming in and the property management company still said no.
Exactly as described and perfect location.
My family and I have been renting on the Cape for many years and this property may have been the best so far. The house was immaculate and very comfortable. It was well stocked with amenities that were easy to find. The best part of the property for our family was the guest house. It was a sweet little cottage that enabled our young adult daughter to have privacy while still being just a few steps away. The property managers were incredibly attentive and responsive. Definitely the best property managers I’ve ever had!
Everything was as advertised. Couldn't have had a better trip with the family.
We had a great stay at this property! The set-up was great for a multi-generational family. The house was very well appointed and the kitchen was well stocked with extra dishes, glasses, and silverware. The sitting areas were comfortable and it was nice to have two areas. We had a minor service call, and Del Mar responded quickly and fixed the problem. The location was a little more remote than I expected, but that is because I wasn’t very familiar with the area. The beaches were awesome land there are plenty of excellent restaurants nearby. I would definitely stay in a Del Mar house again!
The Pine Valley home and guest house were the perfect accommodations for our family of seven--for our reunion. We enjoyed the configuration of the open living concept on the main floor for meals and the fact that the television was in the alcove and didn't monopolize the common space. The studio guest house was charming for a couple and the primary suite was well-designed. Although the tub was jacuzzi-sized, there were no jets, yet the primary bath was thoughtfully-conceived with skylights. We were pleased with the cleanliness and minor issues were resolved proficiently on arrival day. We were fortunate to have had good weather and didn't need to take advantage of the games and books available. The outdoor hammock was a fun surprise and we took advantage of the outdoor showers to wash our feet. And, as one who appreciates air-conditioning, we found the air temperature delightful, after we figured out how to use the remotes. One suggestion we had would be a guide book located at the houses or included with the welcome email to provide instructions on how to use the air conditioner/dehumidifier remotes, the television remotes, and other appliances, along with the Del Mar contact information. The guide could also be beneficial to Del Mar to promote your other sites. It also would have been helpful to know that the front door was in the back of the house. In addition, although we knew the policy in advance, we felt that our responsibility to strip the beds, collect all sheets and towels, wash dishes, and take out all trash was cumbersome as we had to hastily check out by 9:00AM. We understand turnover time and yet we felt that we contributed to the cleaning fee since we meticulously left the houses in clean and tidy conditions. Our family is grateful for the memorable stay and would recommend the quiet, private site in the woods to other families.
