Description:
Located in the Charlotte St. Innovation District, the Patton Parker House is within walking distance to shopping, dinning, recreation, and everything downtown Asheville has to offer.

The original vernacular Victorian-style house was built by Thomas Patton and two African American carpenters in 1868. Restored in 2016, the historic house and grounds have been adapted for reuse as office, conference, and event space.

The guest quarters are new construction, completed in 2017, to complement the original house and grounds. Separated into two units, upstairs and down, each unit has two bedrooms (with King beds), two full bathrooms and a large kitchen/dinning/living room. Each unit is carefully furnished with incredible views from grand private porches.

The Patton Parker House offers a landmark experience unique to Asheville, and truly has it all for the discerning traveler.     Lovely Oasis in a Walkable Urban Setting

    Unit 201, the upper level of the Patton Parker House guest quarters, is spacious and attractive with high ceilings and lots of natural light. My husband and I appreciated how sparkling new it looks, with quality finishes and furnishings. And it's well outfitted for cooking and laundry over a longer stay. Nicely landscaped grounds and the adjacent historic house (now a law office) provide a buffer from a nearby busy street. Downtown is an easy 15-minute walk. Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, and a supermarket (all side by side) are a 10-minute walk, and a bakery and several casual restaurants are within a block. A large, paved, vacant lot detracts from the foreground view (and could be a construction site at some point) but long views of the downtown skyline and distant mountains are great. We’d happily stay at Patton Parker again!

    We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the bottom “101” unit. Beds were very comfortable with fantastic pillows (a definite plus)! Fully updated kitchen and nicely stocked with kitchen supplies (the ziploc bags and foil were pleasant surprises). Clean throughout the house and wonderfully fluffy bath linens were included. We could walk downtown easily and appreciated the convenient location. Will definitely book this gem again! Thanks for providing such great accommodations!
