Let this beautiful cottage in a historic home fill you with a sense of comfort and luxury. This 875 square feet home has two bedrooms, each with a queen bed. A queen sleeper sofa in the living room can sleep another two people (or use the queen air mattress instead). One of the bedrooms has an attached bathroom with a walk-in shower. Everything was as expected, clean and simple. Family loved the little cottage. Thank you
We were extremely happy to arrive after dark and finally finding the house to see a super nice, very complete lodging with everything we needed for a great time in Ashland. The Noble coffee shop down the alley was a great discovery and the Picadillo bike shop across the street was a real score since part of the reason we were there was to do some mountain biking. We had no idea when we booked that we would be in Ashland central We walked to all the restaurants and in-town adventures. Thanks for a tremendous introduction to Ashland!!
Property manager was very responsive, helpful and infinitely patient. It was a long day driving for us and in retrospect, had we had a little more patience and not been so tired, we wouldn’t have needed to contact her at all. Absolutely charming, well-equipped - lovely. Great neighborhood. Thank you!!
Perfect for our group of 5 senior citizens visiting Ashland to attend performances at Oregon Shakespeare Festival. House very clean with nice furnishings -- online description & photos are very accurate. Private back yard space, and front porch with wicker chairs. Full kitchen. Off-street parking space. Easy walking distance (10-15 min.) to downtown shops and Shakespeare theatres. Would definitely stay here again!
Great location and adorable home! Had everything we needed and was a block away from a great coffee roaster!
We were very pleased with the home. We look forward to another visit and hope to rent the same home. thank you.
Perfect place for our family. Walking distance to everything. Very clean and well-stocked.
This is perfect for two couples. It is in good condition, it has a comfy couch, nice front porch and decent beds. Great location, very quiet street and an easy walk to the theatres. The kitchen is reasonably equipped if you keep it simple.
Nice little yard, indoors sparkling clean and updated. My only complaint would be that there aren't enough pots and pans.
Charming house and yard. Could use more lighting for reading.
Comfortable home that accommodated our party of 5. Enjoyed that we were walking distance to downtown. Parking space off alley was tight if a car was in the space next to it. Bathrooms updated nicely and showers were great. Having access to WiFi was great.
Master bath is cramped and kitchen needs more supplies. Otherwise, great!
My husband, 7 year old son, and my parents stayed in the Victorian Rose cottage for a weekend and it was perfect. The kitchen is small but had most of what we needed (only small frying pans, however) and the living space was comfortable. The beds were firm, linens and towels were nice, and the area was quiet. There was an air mattress in one of the bedrooms and we ended up partially inflating it and making a nest for our son in the large, open closet (the third bed is the pull-out sofa in the living room). The cottage is a short walk to the center of town and theaters. The front porch and back patio are lovely for morning coffee.
This is a lovely home in a quiet neighborhood. Close to EVERYTHING - we walked to the theaters, food, shopping, and discovered some very awesome off-main-street type of artisan shops. The house was super clean, wonderfully outfitted and simply delightful.
The closet space in one bedroom needs to be fixed, and the linens placed somewhere else so the closet can be used for clothing.
This place is one of the best places to stay. It is within walking distance of the theatre, shops, restaurants and any other area you might want to go. It is quiet and peaceful and a nice place to stay. We come as a family and really have a great time here staying at the cottages.
Perfect place for 4 and we squeezed in 5(6 ok too) to this roomy and bright cottage. Everything you need including a potato masher we used to whip cream! We never could get the tv to work but did not try too hard as we had plenty of other things to do like sit on the front porch in comfy chairs and say hi to the folks walking by. Sigh. It was a good weekend. Thanks Blossom rose cottage!
We loved the house. It had everything we needed for our stay. Kitchen and bathrooms well stocked. A nice neighborhood with an easy walk to downtown restaurants and library. The weather was a bit cool during our stay but the front and back yard looked nice for sitting out. We would definitely come again.
Great location, close to downtown Ashland. Cottage had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable.
This was a perfect little house for a girlfriend get-away. Easy walk to town, very clean and quiet, well-stocked kitchen (although we didn't cook, we could have!) , close to the Co-Op for wine and nibbles. We loved it and will stay here again.
Clean, convenient, comfortable and well equipped home. Owner or manager was helpful. There was plenty of room for 5 of us with the pull out sofa bed.
We loved it - great space for two couples to share and super clean. We mostly ate out, but definitely used the coffeemaker. We would stay again!
The location is great, with a nice coffee shop right around the corner, and a food co-op two blocks away. It's close enough to the play venues to walk, but off the main streets enough to be very quiet.
Three girlfriends and I stayed here for 3 nights. We were very impressed with the cleanliness, decor and comfortable size of this home. There is outdoor furniture in the front and back for eating. The area is quiet at night. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking. The location to downtown is great! We never needed to use our cars once we arrived. We'll definitely be back. The communication with the property owner was really good!
Totally happy. Spotlessly clean. Very quiet. Comfortable beds. Very convenient location. I would love to stay here again the next time I am in Ashland.
This is I lovely home in the Railroad district, an easy walk to the Plaza and theaters. Everything is new and tastefully done. The bathrooms are remodeled, clean and well-stocked. The beds and pillows are comfortable. There is a beautiful kitchen if you want to cook, but lots of nearby restaurants and cafes, so you don't have to. The house is small, but it lives larger. Two couples can comfortably stay, although the second, larger bathroom is a distance from the second bedroom
Great cottage in a very convenient location-cottage is super well equipped and in a quiet location. It is just a 5 minute walk to great restaurants, Ashland Food Coop and OSF. We loved it and would stay here again!
We planned an impromptu December getaway to Ashland and found the Victorian Rose and Blue Hyacinth on vrbo. The Mathews' responded very quickly to our request and were very flexible with us. We stayed in the Blue Hyacinth house and it was terrific. Everything was in great condition, it felt homey and cozy in the face of the cold. What's more, we loved how close everything was in proximity - we could walk just about everywhere we wanted to go. We can't wait for our next visit.
We were here for a week to visit family and also to see some plays at OSF. Victorian Rose is beautifully maintained and tastefully decorated. We like to cook so the kitchen was not only spacious enough for that, but well equipped. The cottage is within walking distance of everything you need in Ashland. We took full advantage of nearby restaurants and coffee shops. Communication with the owners/manager was always prompt and courteous in the run up to our stay. It's a measure of how well set up the cottage is that we only needed to contact them once during our stay and that was to ask about garbage collection. We were told not to worry about moving the garbage from the outside of the house as that would be done. When we return to Ashland, I don't think that I would want to stay anywhere other than Victorian Rose.
The house is super close to everything. Half a block down the alley one way is a great coffee place and 2 blocks down the alley the other way is the Natural Food CoOp. The house has everything you need. The air condition was a blessing in 95 plus degree weather. We walked to the theatres and coming home always stopped for ice cream. The house is so close we never made it home before we finished our cone.
We were so pleasantly surprised by this rental! Great distance from Main Street and right by bakeries and coffee shops.
My husband and I stayed here with another couple on our annual OSF weekend. What a great time we had in this beautiful house! Location is perfect. We ate almost next door at Peerless one night, shopped at the Co-op just 2 blocks away for a dinner in with some local friends the next, and enjoyed coffee on the lovely front porch both mornings. There's a bike rental place right across the street. And the theatres and downtown are minutes away on foot. The house itself was very clean and very comfortable. The hosts were very pleasant and easy to reach. They were very helpful when we wanted to catch a matinee before heading out of town and needed a place to stow our bags as we didn't have a car. Highly recommend!!
Four of us recently stayed together at the Victorian Rose. The Mathews were responsive, gracious and a pleasure to coordinate with. The location is IDEAL: quiet, within walking distance of everything we wanted to see and do - many meals, a play, shopping, Lithia Park, and more. A bike trail nearby was perfect for morning runs. We loved being so close to the Ashland Food Co-op. We had leisurely breakfasts on the back patio, except for one morning when we went across the street to La Baguette for a DELICIOUS breakfast burrito. The house was lovely: bright, comfy beds, well insulated/quiet, CLEAN, perfect size -all the extra hooks and shelves in the bedroom bathroom are worth mentioning for their added convenience. We are all looking forward to repeat visits. Thank you!
We were two couples who stayed at the Victorian Rose. The house is charming and the location is excellent for theaters and downtown. We parked at the house and walked everywhere. We typically ate one meal in the house on most days and really liked the nice sized kitchen -lots of counter space, plenty of dishes and utensils, and all very well organized. We picked up our groceries at the Food Coop, which was about a five-minute walk. There was also an outdoor grill on the back porch that we did not use. The owners are easy to work with and we really liked the information on local events and restaurants that they provided. The house was meticulously clean and the beds were super comfortable. We would definitely recommend this place and will be back.
First let me say that the pictures don’t do the house justice. The bedrooms are lovely and the beds comfortable and cozy. Both bedrooms have walk-in closets and nice dressers. The kitchen is large and we had three people easily moving around in the kitchen at once preparing meals. Appreciated having the spices, so we didn’t have to go buy those. We found the location to be excellent – especially since we could walk to downtown as well as A-street. We often spent early evenings out on the porch, before heading out to dinner/plays. We chose to walk to downtown since parking in downtown Ashland can be frustrating. The local cafes and bakeries are easy to walk to and really quite wonderful! Really enjoyed visiting here – would love to be back.
We have visited Ashland in the past but this is our new favorite and we will be back. It is located close to downtown so we could walk there. On days when we wanted to act like locals, we frequented the shops on A-street and 4th-street (the Peerless hotel is steps away). We ate a few meals at the restaurants nearby (there are quite a few within walking distance) – but also cooked some meals here. The kitchen was large and we appreciated having the spices. The food co-op was about a five minute walk – if that. The house itself and the landscape are delightful.
