Jay's home was a great place to my family to stay in when they visited from abroad. Everything was clean and Jay was very nice. Would highly recommend.
From the moment we arrived, Mr. Johnson made us feel like we were friends coming to stay for a visit. The neighborhood is wonderful, obviously, and there’s lots to do. The access to downtown by train is convenient, but we stayed around the neighborhood this trip. And the house was perfect for our needs. Mr, Johnson takes great pride in caring for the property, updating it as needed, providing everything needed for a comfortable stay! From the old school board games to the high tech services like wi-fi/FIOS tv channels to the outstanding Sunday Brunch!!!! We plan to return in the future, for sure.
Comfortable, clean property. Jay is a wonderful host. Our only issue is it is advertised as 2 bathroom. There is one full bath.
We had to travel short notice for a funeral and this property was the perfect! Located close to family. Jay was friendly and prompt with check-in. We’d definitely stay there again.
The host, Jay, is very personable and easy to communicate with. His house is immaculately clean and very well appointed. The beds are comfortable, the towels are soft, and the water is hot. The location is good and the neighborhood felt safe. I have one suggestion: if you use multiple electric hair tools (hair dryer, flat iron, etc.), bring a power strip. It’s an old house that’s been amazingly updated, but there’s only one outlet in the bathroom. Our stay was fantastic and I would definitely stay here again!
Awesome accommodations. Full media center with premium channels entertainment. Lovely art and reading materials, most of which were African-American influenced, were an unexpected and welcomed comfort.
There was a mix-up with the check-in process that was quickly resolved. All else was nearly perfect. Absolutely fantastic sun room. Amazing art work. Friendly, lovely neighborhood.
Was clean and comfy. Host was very helpful. Love the location felt safe. The only thing I believe should be disclosed when travelers book this vacation rental is that the host occupies the second floor. Other than that this is a great place.
My friend and I met to just hang out in the Chicago area. This immaculately clean home was in a perfect setting. The owner; Jay was delightful, very welcoming and loved that he showed us the entire place and how everything 'worked'. Loved chatting with him, very knowledgeable about the area and his place had everything you could possibly need( just in case, you forgot something).A bonus was the fresh flowers in the bedroom. Such a quaint touch. Close to public transit, and walking distance to the Frank Lloyd Wright neighborhood, houses, and the museum. Would definitely stay here again. We loved it. The front sunroom was perfect for the 2 of us to do our morning yoga/ exercises. Thanks so much Jay for sharing this beautiful home.
Our stay at this property was amazing! The location was very convenient and close to public transportation. Jay, our host, was great and was accommodating. We wanted to make dinner, so Jay made sure the kitchen was ready fir our use. He also showed us around the house and was very welcoming.
