Available is a private bedroom suite with it's own entrance, bathroom and deck with dining area only 5 blocks from the Shakespeare Festival. The house was built in 1892 and has a park like landscape and updated with every amenity and great attention to detail. You can park here and walk to the restaurants, shops, festival and Lithia Park. Great view and aesthetics. Off street parking.
The environment of the house and room exuded charm and comfort- the inspiring quote on the wall, stained glass accent and wood framed windows, porch table and chairs overlooking the garden, and practical amenities (electric kettle, mini-fridge, and cups and plates) all added to our enjoyment of the property!
We loved our stay here. The location is very close to downtown. The shower is amazing with dual shower heads, the bed was very comfortable and we were very well accommodated. Every detail was thought of and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would definitely recommend for a couple visiting Ashland who want to be close to the main downtown area with easy walking to many shops and restaurants.
This rental was clean and very comfortable with many of the amenities that would be found in a hotel -- little soaps and little shampoos are not always to a person's tastes as found in a typical hotel. The bed was exceptional and we slept very well. The property was convenient for our purpose in being in Ashland this summer. We would highly recommend this property to others with a reason to be in Ashland at any time.
This was a perfect end to an 8 day Pacific NW road trip w/my mom and 5mos old son. Close to downtown, easy access to all things Ashland- eats, shopping, theatre. Peaceful and spacious. We both want to come back!!
We enjoyed our stay in Ben and Karen's extra bedroom. The bed is very comfortable, large shower and double sink. Everything is new and together. The hosts are friendly and responsive. A pretty fifteen minute walk to all the plays - though hilly so you need to be in reasonable shape. We'll likely stay here again.
The Falcons Nest is a lovely spot for a nice quiet short stay in Ashland. A spacious King bedroom with good sized bathroom with double sinks and a large double headed shower. Small refrigerator and microwave are in the room. Nice outside front porch to use on a warm day. Its 1/2 mile to the Shakespeare Theater and downtown shops, about a 10 minute walk. A bit of a climb back up the hill to the room but very manageable. Off street parking for car. Unfortunately we did not get to meet the owners but communication before we arrived was excellent. Thanks for a great weekend.
Good location, comfortable bed, just right for a short stay.
Everything was as described. Welcoming and responsive owners Kara and Ben have set up a cute little space on the side of their historic home. We walked downtown for breakfast both mornings as well as dinners each night. The shower is fantastic after a sweaty mountain bike ride and very accessible from the bottom of the eastern trail system at the top of the reservoir.
This delightful suite is only 5 blocks form main Street so very walkable! The bed is most comfortable and the bathroom/shower (for 2) was an excellent design. There is a nice porch setup for coffee in the morning. Ben and kara are very friendly but there were no issues to address. The small frog/ microwave is great for short stays, longer stays it would be less convenient. Ashland co-op is one of the nicest around and easy to get to the plays and lithe park. Hope to be back soon.
Love the privacy and special parking spot. The room is comfy and inviting. Loved the shower - beautiful tile work. We will stay again.
My husband and i enjoyed our two night get away to Ashland. The room is in a great location in town. We were able to walk most everywhere we wanted to go. The room was clean, well appointed with all we needed. It was also very quiet.
Kara and Ben were always responsive in the days leading up to our arrival and gave good counsel to all of our queries. The suite (bedroom and adjoining bathroom) is well appointed and cozy. To get to the main street (and the festival), the walk is downhill (and that means an uphill return, of course) but for the able bodied, it presents no problem. There is a parking spot right in front of the property (which is attached to the owners' home), but which has its own entry-way. Thanks for a memorable stay.
We loved our stay at Falcon’s Nest! Perfect holiday weekend getaway for my wife and myself. Ben and Kara were excellent hosts, super attentive. The unit was excellently appointed and the bathroom beyond words, right down to the heated floor and double custom shower. Spectacular, we will definitely be back.
10-minute walk to the theaters worked perfectly for us. Good starting point for walks above the boulevard. The public library is just down the hill if you need to sneak in a little work. Also an easy walk to Growler Guys, our new favorite Ashland watering hole. Quiet. Nicely appointed.
The apartment was perfect for our needs.... clean and tastefully decorated. We did not walk to theater but we could have .....We appreciated the coffee and utensils for a quick breakfast. The unit though small seemed very spacious. A private entrance and deck felt like our own little home.
While it may lack some of the amenities you would want for a longer stay, this is a great place to spend a few nights while you're enjoying plays at OSF and the restaurants in Ashland. Beautiful bedroom and bathroom in convenient location; very clean and quiet; comfortable bed and pillows; excellent communication.
The studio cottage was as advertised. Having a parking space in the driveway was a real plus. We found the king sized bed very comfortable with good quality linen, We saw the owner just once when we needed more soap and it was readily delivered to us. The walk to the Festival theater was downhill and about a 15 minute walk but the weather was rainy so we depended on our car to get around. All in all, an enjoyable trip,.
The Falcon's nest is a beautiful space-we stayed for three nights and were very comfortable-it is close enough to downtown to walk-and it was very quiet
What a lovely place to stay! The bedroom and bathroom are beautiful and the bed was so comfortable. A pleasant walk down hill to town and the walk uphill is nice for stretching your legs after a play. The hosts were kind and welcoming!
Clean and comfortable. Close to theatre and downtown.
Perfect for seeing the plays.
We loved this quaint, charming suite in Ashland. It was everything as described in the description. Beautifully decorated, not over done. Large bathroom with double sinks and outlets on each side of the vanity. That was a plus when two are getting ready at the same time. Beautiful, large and powerful shower, with fluffy towels. Loved it. Shampoo amenities as well. The bed was absolutely wonderful! The mattress at a rental is always my concern and it was perfect. We had a great nights sleep. The room had a fridge, coffee maker and a window AC unit with a fan above the bed. It helped keep us fresh during the day and at night we only needed to run the fan. (It was a very hot and humid weekend when we were there). The porch was adorable and we took some time to enjoy coffee in the morning and sit on the porch in the evening for just a bit. The porch gets lots of sun in the morning, so it's best to get up early or enjoy in the afternoon. I loved it! There were amenities in the suite for coffee and tea, utensils and dishes for coffee and snacks. The bathroom lights have a tiny dimmer on them next to the on and off switch. I kept accidentally turning the dimmer down and I wondered why there wasn't enough lighting and it was ME the entire time turning the lights down. It was quite the joke everytime I did it. The home was in a beautiful, great neighborhood and we had on site parking. There was no neighborhood noise or barking dogs. The home is located a few blocks from the main downtown road and we were greeted by a beautiful deer everyday, feeding in the neighborhood. She just went on about her day without even being bothered by us. She and her fawns came out at night as well. The only recommendation would be that a TV or a DVD player with movies would be nice. We were gone all day visiting wineries, Chozu Spa and seeing Off the Rails at the Oregon Shakespeare Theater, but the town closes down pretty early. All of the shops were closed at 6:00 p.m. and they don't open until 10:00 or 11:00, so we couldn't stay out late shopping and returned to the room early at 8:45 after having dinner. So a movie might have been nice. Instead we were on our social media accounts with the wifi that worked perfect and never had any glitches. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone! I forgot to mention that the bed faces two beautiful windowed doors to see the gorgeous landscape in the morning. Can't beat that. :)
A truly lovely space and luxuriously comfortable in an excellent, peaceful neighborhood location -- easy walking distance to practically everything. The tasteful attention to details was so appreciated! We very much enjoyed our restful stay and will definitely be back with Ben and Kara again.
A very nice place, we would come back.
Somewhat basic in terms of extras (does have a small microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker) but very adequate in terms of bedroom and bathroom space and features. Pretty neighborhood within walking distance of theater and downtown. Gracious hosts who were available and friendly and in no way intrusive. More than met our needs and expectations.
This suite is perfect for a stay in Ashland. Very clean and well-appointed, close to the theater and more, and very accommodating. We would definitely stay here again.
We spent four very comfortable and pleasant nights at Falcon's Nest in Ashland, convenient to the downtown and OSF theatres. The unit is quiet, modern, nicely furnished and includes a large bathroom with every convenience and a small deck awash with morning sunshine. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the hosts most accessible but respective of privacy. We will definitely book in again on our next rip to Ashland.
This place was fantastic!
Exactly as described. Quiet neighborhood and close to everything.
This was a perfect little suite close to the theatre! Extremely comfortable, clean, cozy, and decorated beautifully. The king-sized bed was heavenly and the dual head shower was awesome. One thing it lacked was adequate lighting for reading in bed. Other than that, it was a wonderful place that we hope to come back to.
The location is at the top of Gresham. It is a bit of walk to the theaters. When we arrived there were two deer in the yard, a nice welcome for us but not sure the owners are happy about it. Nice to be able to park in the driveway. A king size bed fills most of the room. There are two chairs and a small table along with a small frig in the room. The bed is very comfortable and the bedding is great. The bathroom is very big, two sinks and a double shower. My only complaint is the lighting. It is very dark. There is a small lighting make up mirror available, but still pretty dark to see to put on makeup. Nice porch to sit out on during the limited time we had as we were seeing two plays both days we were there. The owners are very responsive.
This is such a nicely done cottage. Beautiful bathroom and comfortable bed/sitting area. With the private porch and French doors you feel very private and not intrusive on the Bran family. The cottage is Up a few blocks from Main Street so very quiet neighborhood. A very pleasant 10 minute walk to the theater.
Lovely space, quiet, beautiful neighborhood, close to town. It's so important to actually have a really good bed, a quiet and dark room to be able to sleep well. Great accommodations, beautiful space and large bathroom. Falcon's Nest has all that and it's peaceful and beautiful. Ben and Kara are perfect hosts.
The Falcon's Nest was everything we expected and more! It as clean and easy to access and looked just as it was shown in the pictures. Kara and Ben were so nice and as they live on the property were readily available if we were to need anything. Although everything we needed was already in our room! And they definitely gave us our privacy. The location was also perfect and a short walk to great restaurants and Lithia Park. We would definitely stay here again next time we are in Ashland!
The proximity to OSF is outstanding.
Cute home close to downtown. Very clean and the shower is awesome.
The room was very comfortable. My only complaint to is that there was no TV in the room. Steve Green
My girlfriend and I stayed here for a couple nights over Thanksgiving. The suite was really quiet, comfortable, and well-furnished (and the heated tile floor in the bathroom was great!). Location was good for walking to downtown. Would definitely stay here again.
My wife and I greatly enjoyed our four nights staying at this rental. Our hosts provided a comfortable space that was just the right distance from downtown, many dining options, and the festival. I loved sitting on the porch in the morning, reading and enjoying some coffee. We certainly will look to stay here again in future trips to Ashland.
I recently stayed in this lovely vacation rental to attend the Shakespeare Festival. I usually look for places off the beaten path but close enough to walk to town. This rental was just perfect! It is located off Main Street in a quiet established neighborhood. I was able to park my car and walk to dining, shops and plays. I would recommend a small flash light for walks back to the suite in the evening as the sidewalk can be uneven and and the street dark. The room was very clean and the sheets were very soft. Great bathroom and shower. I forgot a blow dryer and the owners were kind enough to supply one for me. This was my first visit to Ashland and when I return I will definitely look to stay here again.
My boyfriend and I just had a wonderful weekend in Ashland. The suite was very clean, comfortable and had some nice extras including a mini fridge and an awesome shower. We had a lot of privacy and quiet and could come and go really easily. The walk downtown from the suite is very short (6 blocks maybe?) and in a beautiful neighborhood, just a slight hill on the way back. Very close to great shopping and dining downtown as well as Lithia Park, which was very pretty. Owners gave us privacy which we were looking for but seemed very approachable and friendly too. I'd recommend this for a couple who is looking for a relaxing and awesome stay in Ashland!
