    Great Location

Had a weekend away with friends. Perfect location for walking to a show, shopping, and food. House was comfortable and had great outdoor spaces for relaxing. I would book again.

    Great house for groups.

We were very comfortable at this unit and enjoyed the separate bedrooms. The location was good for walking to the theaters, and wonderfully close to Ashland Co-op. It's also pretty close to the Bear Park Greenway for those who like to ride bikes. A couple of negatives: I texted the phone number given to us for any issues we might have, and just got radio silence. One of the lamps wasn't working, and there were very few hangers. The parking space for two vehicles (one space for another unit) is tight if both units have large vehicles, as it was in our case. But there issues aren't enough to keep us away, we would stay there again.

Great House, But Poor Climate Control

The house was perfect for two couples and a single adult. Only two complaints: the climate control for the second floor was terrible: too hot on the first very warm day, better on the second much cooler day, but then suddenly full blast heat about 3 a.m. with no thermostat change. Although there is an appearance of air conditioning, it did not work. Second small issue: the tiny TV was not set up properly and the picture did not fill the screen.

    Great house in great location

Great location, walk to Oregon Shakespeare Festival and downtown. Quiet street, nice outdoor spaces for eating and lounging. Very clean on arrival. The kitchen is not equipped for serious cooking, but probably adequate for most. We wished there was more than one dishtowel, trash bags that fit the kitchen trash bin (there were bags, but much too small) and that the Swiffer in the kitchen had any dry or wet cloths so it could be used! Without those it was very hard to keep the kitchen floor clean, as we were cooking for a crowd. Ended up using a washcloth from a bathroom, which was suboptimal. But overall a great property and we would stay again in a heartbeat. Comfortable bedrooms and very good air conditioning (a must in Ashland in summer months).

perfect location but would not recommend

Negatives: The listing says sleeps 10, however we were charged an extra guest fee for having that many in our party. For two of the four nights there were only two of us, so I twice requested an adjustment in the charge but never got a response from the property manager. The house is actually two little apartments connected, but this isn't mentioned in the description. This makes the flow a bit strange. The housekeeping service was still cleaning when we arrived, so we were kept waiting in the alley for 20 minutes - this caused us to be late for an engagement. The upstairs tub had debris in it. There was only one hair dryer provided. The front yard is lovely, but the backyard patio area is not maintained. Parking is inadequate - there is a garage and an extra space, but renters are not allowed to use them. Obviously, if the place sleeps 10, there will be more than one vehicle. Positives: The location is perfect. The home and front yard look quite charming.

This home nicely accomodated our family of 3 couples. The neighborhood is flat, and one bedroom and bath are on the first floor which is helpful for a person with mobility challenges. The house has three inviting outdoor spaces and the kitchen is well equipped. We walked everywhere, from the Shakespeare Festival, to Lithia Park, to the Ashland shops, and to the Railroad District’s coffee house, grocery co-op, bakery and yoga. Note: though the amenities lists washer and clothes dryer, their use is discouraged.

These cottages are in the best location for doing things in the railroad district and also close to Noble coffee. We have stayed here twice so far and plan on making it more as long as they are still on VRBO. We really enjoy the homes and the cleaning crew are the best at what they do. Kudos to everyone associated with this property.

Had a wonderful time--perfect place for ten old friends to spend a week. We rented both cottages, but primarily cooked/ate outside on the back patio at the larger cottage. Location to everything was perfect. Cottages are sparkling clean. Our only slight complaint was that the kitchens weren't supplied w/much cooking equipment. We were constantly going through both kitchens trying to locate a large spoon for stirring (there was one) and luckily someone brought a tall stock pot for pasta. Small issue, but could easily be remedied. There were plenty of cups, wine glasses, dishes. We will definitely be back.

Great patio with table and chairs and umbrella for enjoying coffee in the morning or dinner in the evenings. Neighborhood is quiet. Dedicated parking space was great. Walking distance to Ashland COOP, shops and theaters and Lithia Park. We would definitely stay here again!

We've stayed here two years in a row, and plan to rent it again for our trip next year. The house has a great layout for our group--there's two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs which is great for our family of four, and a separate suite downstairs for the friends we travel with. It's easy walking distance to the co-op for groceries, and to downtown Ashland. And the rental contact is responsive and always helpful if we have questions. We've been coming to Ashland every year for over 10 years, and this is one of the best places we've stayed!

Had a couple questions contacted the responsible party and she took care of both immediately. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a great find. The house sits in a leafy neighborhood only a few blocks from the beautiful main street in Ashland. The owners put quality into every aspect of the property. The garden is beautiful and perfectly maintained. Even though the house is old everything inside is new. The bathrooms are new and beautiful. The kitchen has new appliances and is wonderfully stocked. The laundry room again has new appliances. The tv system has extensive channels and the tvs are new and lovely. It is really a taste of real everyday living in a beautiful, tree-lined historic neighborhood of Ashland.

Our family enjoyed our stay very much. The location was terrific in a neighborhood of shops and restaurants within a quarter to half mile of OSF. The three bedrooms were all a nice size with soft, comfortable queen size beds. One of the bedrooms had also a twin bed. the bathrooms were new and the kitchen is new and clean and well equipped with a small but pleasant living room and dining area. There was room for everyone to find a spot for quiet reading or work in the house of on one of the several porches or near the grill. We definitely enjoyed ourselves and will come again.

Four of us rented the entire Blue Hyacinth house for five nights. The combined main-floor rooms were spacious, the house was exceptionally clean, and it was comfortable for all of us. The three bedrooms (2 upstairs and 1 on the main floor) were simply, but nicely furnished, and the beds and linens were lovely. The location was great--several cafes and bakeries were in the neighborhood and it was an easy 1/2 mile walk to the restaurants and shops on Main Street and to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Would enjoy another stay soon! (For a one or two guests, note that the smaller, main-level section of the house does not have a kitchen.)

Our 3 night stay was great. We tend to be somewhat picky in regard to accommodations wherever we stay and Blossom View Cottages did not disappoint. The Mathews have done a great job with this property. The beds were very comfortable, the furnishings and decorations were warm and pleasant, and it all came together making our stay very enjoyable. We gladly and highly recommend to anyone traveling to Ashland, and in need of a place to stay, to be sure to put Blossom View Cottages at the top of their list. Anne and Tony Nunes and Family

The house is only a 5-10 minute walk to the Shakespeare theater and downtown Ashland. It's also adjacent to Peerless Restaurant, which is lovely as well. The owners of the house were so nice and were very responsive to all calls and texts. Would highly recommend this place and I would definitely stay again.

Our entire family stayed here last year. The location is fantastic, we walked everywhere – OSF, downtown restaurants, Lithia Park. The furnishings appeared new and were very comfortable. We cooked dinner and ate outdoors since the weather was so perfect. Ashland is a gem and this property lends itself to exploring Ashland. Besides watching plays, our special treat was to walk to the local coffee store and watch the locals.

Perfect house for reunions and family get togethers.

The house is perfect for reunions and family gatherings! It is located at the back of the property and pretty quiet. We cooked a fair bit, the kitchen was wonderful - better than my kitchen at home. We did use the outdoor patio and porches for dining and coffee. We walked everywhere - which was a big plus during the July 4th parade since there was no parking around town. Really great location, clean, comfortable house. Perfect!
