This classic log cabin is a short ride into town and features incredible mountain and meadow views. The home sits on about 1.5 acres with natural beauty in all directions. This 3 bedroom log cabin will give your group plenty of space to soak up the views and enjoy the Alpine tempo. Start with the wonderful covered deck that wraps fully around 3 sides of the home. There is plenty of room to connect with your friends and family while you enjoy your favorite beverage or chef up the perfect burger on the grill. Each time of day will bring its own magic with beautiful sunrises, spectacular night skies and ever-changing light. Keep your eyes out - you are bound to see lots of visitors such as deer, elk, moose & sandhill cranes.
The main area is perfect for the entire crew to get together including large well appointed kitchen & eating, dining room table, comfy chairs, and cozy sectional. There are also a number of smaller spaces to break into private groups within the house as well. Enjoy your favorite shows on the HiDef TV. Downstairs features a Playstation if you need your gaming fix.
There is a loft we're counting as a bedroom. It has a queen bed and a sleeper sofa, plus a full bed in a side alcove. On the lower level, there are 2 bedrooms each with a queen bed. There is also a common area on the lower level off the patio with a twin trundle bed and a sleeper sofa that we are counting as a bedroom. 2 of the 4 "bedrooms" have doors you can close for privacy. A full bathroom in the loft, a full bathroom in the lower level, and a half bath on the main level.
You are at the center of an outdoor mecca. Caribou Targhee National Forest, The Palisades Reservoir, The Greys River or the Salt River, just to name a few, are right there. There are more trails to ride and more fishing holes than you can possibly explore on any given trip. There are literally hundreds of miles of trails, rivers, and mountains within minutes of your door. Of course, it's only 34 miles into Jackson where you can satellite into another stack of adventures.
We booked this trip to celebrate my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary. Everyone had an amazing time. We spent a lot of time on the patio and watched Elk in the distance and enjoyed watching the birds. We even had a couple of Mule deer bucks come up in the yard. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook. The WiFi worked awesome when needed and the beds were comfortable. I would definitely book this house again if ever in the area. Note - it is a 45 - 50 minute drive to Jackson , but it was very nice to get away from the business in Jackson.
Alpine Refuge was exactly that! It fit our family's need perfectly to gather for Christmas, someplace that was easy to spend time together but also have a bit off space in these social distance times. The cabin has outstanding views of mountains with gorgeous changing light each sunrise and sunset. We also witnessed an incredible last Full Moonrise of 2020 over the mountains. The deck even in winter was fun to gather around the propane firepit. We made the hour drive to Teton National park a couple of times to explore, and even though it's a longish drive the pass along the Snake River is absolutely breathtaking. We loved our Christmas holiday here, but would love to come back and explore in the summer sometime also!
It was a great property for our family. Nice and warm when it was very cold outside.
We loved staying at the cabin in Alpine!
Great private cabin.
This cabin was beautiful and the location was even better. We enjoyed our stay with family. There were a few issues with cleaning and those were mentioned to the management but otherwise everything was great!
We enjoyed a 2 night stay as a family here. 4 kids. Nice upstairs and downstairs room for kids separately. Upside was view out back and basic kitchen amenities. Star filled sky was welcoming out back porch. The home was A 4 star clean and only imporvements i have would be for management to have windows inside and out cleaned nicely before next stay. There is no AC as for most homes in mountains. They provide fans to kee cool. Night time temp in August is in 50s so no problem opening a window and colling off the place. We cooked and enjoyed some simplicity with out TV. We took a family raft trip and purchased A raft from “Rent A Raft” just up snake river 30 minutes Must do if you stay in area Overall was good
Cabin was clean and as expected. I was surprised with the 3 different separate taxes and fees tacked on to the price with Kabino.
We had a great visit to Wyoming and the house was perfect! We wanted to be in a peaceful and relaxing environment and got exactly that with this home. House was clean and well supplied. 100% satisfied!!
We loved the porch, such fun watching the hummingbirds and chipmunks. We even saw elk one night. The house had everything we needed, fully stocked kitchen.
We enjoyed our experience here. Would definitely recommend. Plenty of room for our two families. Enjoyed using the fire pit in the evenings and watching the wildlife each morning.
Place was great. Peaceful area with great views and very clean!
This cabin was beautiful and worked exactly what we needed it for. Perfect for a weekend getaway!
We loved this Cabin. Hanging out on the deck we saw deer and elk almost every morning, but, the sand hill cranes were the coolest - their sound/song is totally unique. We will definitely revisit this place. It had the right mixture of private spaces, common areas and all the essentials for entertaining. Loved it!
