The second floor of 13 Lakeview Tr is a lofty wonderfully located 1 bdrm apartment with great lakeviews. A spacious deck awaits your relaxation. Second floor is newly renovated and is clean spartan and relaxing; it's like an oasis really. New King bed(2020) in the bedroom and a fouton that could be used as a separate queen bed in the main room. Large tiled bath with tub. Hardwood floors in the main room, with a well appointed kitchen. A great place for a couple or individual; not the place to squeeze a bunch of people into or for a party. The 1st floor 2 bedroom #3807740 can be joined to this unit as well.
Everything was great - especially the view
Great stay, wonderful lake view.
Breathtaking water view and walkable to downtown-perfect for a getaway to Burlington!
I was very happy with the apartment. The view from the kitchen and deck is amazing. It's a nice quiet neighborhood and the hike down to the bike trail is just steps away. I thought that the pans for cooking were of poor quality. I cook when I can and like good pans. I would stay here again for sure.
The view is everything. Jon was responsive and helpful. The apartment is cozy for a winter getaway, with close access to parks, paths by the lake, and downtown. Quick drive to state parks and mountains. The place is set up with a great TV, nice bathroom, kitchenware and appliances (gas stove, grill, oven, microwave and toaster oven). I found the bed firm and very comfortable - slept great. If you’re looking for a one bedroom in Burlington, I highly recommend this gem!
We had a great week long stay in Burlington at Jon’s place. It’s super convenient to everything, and the view of the lake is truly special. Would love to return next time we’re in town!
Location and beautiful view are the highlight. Owner skimping on rental with very cheap, uncomfortable furniture. Very unimpressed with living n dining space! Kitchen drain was a huge problem since arrival; clogged pipe caused sink to clog. Toilet also problem. Front door lock difficult to open. Comfortable bed. Location is nice. View is beautiful, but crammed between 2 homes.
The view is gorgeous and the apartment is perfect for two people.
My husband and I were very impressed with the apartment. It’s a great space for two people enjoying some time in Burlington. The view was spectacular and it’s walking distance to Battery Park and the waterfront and a 15 min walk (or five minute drive) to Church St. It’s an adorable apartment. Furnished well, stocked with necessities. Bed is comfy. The only thing I’d put on the wish list is better lighting in the bathroom for the mirror and a bedside table for the other side of the bed. Thanks so much!
The view of this property was absolutely stunning but everything else was a bit underwhelming. The Parking situation was annoying, for the price point you should be getting your own parking spot. No one wants to drive around to look for parking when they are on vacation, sorry. Also there was very loud road work going on a block away from the property that started early in the morning. I would have appreciated a heads up from the property manager warning us ahead of time. Also the apt itself needs a major facelift, for what is being charged. The place could use some new decor and furnishings, just doesn’t have a nice feel to it at all. The no microwave didn’t make sense to me. It would have been much more welcomed than the dirty toaster oven that is left there. The only other positive was the bed was large and comfortable and the apt is close to all the restaurants, but besides that it left me wanting for more. You get charged a cleaning fee yet the owner wants you to take your own garbage out, and the place was definitely cleaned to my standards. I would not stay here again, I would have rather stayed at a hotel being that I feel like the price was ridiculous for what I got.
My wife and I enjoyed a two-week “working holiday” at this property. The view is spectacular and the close proximity to downtown Burlington made it easy to walk to dinner. We were able to ride our bikes to the Burlington Greenway and Colchester Causeway and were shocked how many great hikes were within a 30-minute drive. The owner, John, was very responsive and easy to work with. Overall, a fantastic getaway!
The view from this apartment is breathtaking. It was perfect during this time of social distancing, we got groceries and take out and had every meal with the lake view. The kitchen/dining/living area has direct views of the water, so it is the first thing you see in the morning. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was well stocked with towels. The cleaners should spend a little more time prepping the house before new tenants. There were live bugs all over the ceiling, cobwebs in the corners, and dust/dirt on the blinds. A few items were missing that could make a difference like a microwave and a broom.
Great location overlooking Lake Champlain with lots of light and an incredible deck/ outdoor space.
Great view from the deck/main room. Everything was pretty much as shown. The space was nicely done and comfortable for a couple. The location was convenient. We really enjoyed staying here. There were a few little things that could have been improved, but nothing that would keep us from staying here again! The entry stairway is narrow and step, a few things needed a little cleaning/repair, and the kitchen could use a better selection of dishes/glassware .... but no real issues. The bed was comfortable and the a/c unit in the main room kept the bedroom cool on hot nights. Communication with the owner was easy and instructions were good. We would definitely stay here again!
Jon's property is an absolute gem. Great owner, great experience every time. We will continue to rent this property each summer whenever possible. Thanks!
Outstanding setting, beautiful well-appointed apt, amazing deck, spectacular views of lake, boats and Adirondacks, lovely neighborhood, great to grill on deck, super convenient location, less than one minute to main bike path, can walk or bike to town. Will definitely return!
Pretty much as advertised - spectacular view of Lake Champlain off the deck, decent furnishings, clean, and close to downtown. Enjoyed our stay!
Good view of Lake. Property was clean but furniture is dated and bed needs to be replaced, sinks in middle.
Amazing lake views and cozy overall. Walk or short ride to main attractions.
The view of Lake Champlain from the spacious deck was what initially drew me to this rental, and it definitely did not disappoint. However, I must give credit to the property owner who provided a clean, comfortable, well equipped, fun living space. Everything you want to do is within walking distance. I will absolutely be booking with Jon when I return to Burlington.
Would def. stay here again. The view is better than what you see in the pic. Modern kitchen. Wall of windows!! Loved it.
Unbeatable location and fantastic views!! Loved everything about our stay. Will definitely be returning...
Had everything you need for stay in Burlington, but could benefit from having a microwave. Easy access to walking/bike path along the water. Great deck for watching boat traffic and sunsets.
Loved the view from the balcony - it was why I chose this place! The location is also extremely convenient. Walking distance to downtown and a very long bike path along the waters edge that is well kept and safe. A few minor items would make for an improvement though. Hair dryer, washer and dryer listed as present but they were missing. It also really needs a microwave and a table for the balcony. The kitchen is well equipped, but be warned it's a K-cup coffee machine so don't just bring a bag of coffee grounds as we did. We cooked at least one meal a day, and the knives we so dull we went out and bought some to use. One safety issue - there's a door to connect both apartments, and we had ready access to enter the other apartment had we wanted to. Not sure if they could have entered ours which made us uncomfortable. On one occasion we locked the outside door, but found it opened when we returned. There were new tenants downstairs, so I'm guessing somehow they opened it which also gave us pause! Overall a good experience in spite of these things, and I would rent it again, especially to use both apartments together. Parking on the street isn't particularly difficult, but definitely inconvenient. I wish there was a 4.5 star rating, cause that's what I would choose.
We enjoyed our stay at the lake very much. The apartment was perfect with a beautiful view. The location was great for walking into town for a little exercise before enjoying wonderful food and drink. Hope to stay next year and maybe rent the downstairs too with a bigger family group. Spending the weekend was a great way to end summer!
Enjoyed our short stay in this old North end property... appreciated the air conditioner with the unseasonably warm weather. The view is great from the deck, about 15 minute walk from downtown area, 10 minutes from waterfront, in a pretty neighborhood. One suggestion would be stocking a regular drip coffee maker, but there is a pod machine, and a good coffee place a couple blocks down the street. We had major street construction immediately in front of the house during our stay, but this should not be long term issue. Note parking is on the street for the upper unit, but we always were able to find a spot close by. Nice spot to stay in Burlington with a great view.
We had a wonderful stay, the view from the deck was magical. It is an easy walk to action of Burlington. The A/C kept us cool on a warm summer night. The space was large, clean and comfortable. Although it is in a neighborhood it was quite quiet at night. I am already trying to plan our next stay.
This apartment had beautiful views of the lake with a large deck. It was in a perfect location close to downtown area. Parking was a little tough as it was street parking and could be difficult during the day. Also, there is only an AC in the main living space, not the bedroom, so it did get hot at night as it was August. Otherwise, this was a great location and we do recommend it!
We will be back! This was an amazing experience. Great view of the lake.
Burlington turned out to be even nicer than I had imagined. It reminds me a lot of Traverse City, Michigan and Lake Champlain might be the most beautiful lake I've ever seen. Pictures don't quite capture the dimensional grandeur of the layered mountains that surround the lake. It's like being in a life-size watercolor painting. The house itself was clean, modern and very cozy. I can't express how much I loved the view. It was hard to leave the balcony at times. It was such a treat to get to stay here.
The place is nice and view is fantastic! Overall a nice place to stay that is convenient to downtown and the waterfront. Check in was easy. Never had communication with owner. Not required. The bed and furniture were sufficient for a short stay. The path around the corner down to Lake Ave was a pleasant surprise. The deck overlooking the lake was the best part. Parking was okay. Would have preferred off street. For most part spots available near the apartment.
Excellent, excellent choice. Location is perfect for UVM and downtown access... It's a million dollar view with a large deck for relaxing and gazing at Lake Champlain...All needed amenities are there. Would recommend 100%
The space and views were fantastic! The apartment was comfy, warm and just right for the two of us! We did have another couple over for dinner and there was plenty of room to entertain comfortably. The kitchen had just the the right cookware and utensils to prepare and serve dinner. The apartment was close to downtown Burlington and was on the lake. The winter views were stunning!
My stay in the Lakeview Top Floor was simply perfect! Waking up to the view of Lake Champlain every morning and seeing the beautiful sunsets helped to make it so. It was very clean and had everything I needed. I even got to cook dinner for my son and his friends because the kitchen had all the supplies I needed. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was bright and clean. As it got chilly, I was happy that there was heating, though I wish I could have had the door open more to the beautiful deck overlooking the lake. There is a cute coffee shop a short walk away, and getting to Church Street is an easy stroll. There is also a diagonal pedestrian road to take you down to the bike path and waterfront, where you can also find Foam (a brewery), The Skinny Pancake, and a couple of other shops. I hope to be back for another stay. Thank you, Jon!
Convenient location to Church Street area. Clean place. Beautiful view of the Lake!
What a lovely place! Really comfortable with thoughtful touches from fluffy towels, a convenient place for muddy shoes and a nicely equipped kitchen, complete with chefs knife. And to top it off, one of the best.views in VT from a wall of Windows . Just wish we had more time to sit in the Adirondack chairs and take it all in. Parking on the street was a breeze and there’s a terrific local coffee spot at the end of the street. Hope we can stay again when we’re back in Burlington!
Very nice, close waterfront location with stunning view / deck. Kitchen is well appointed, but note there is no micro-wave nor AC and if you are in the humid summer periods this may be something to consider - and some street noise at night. Parking is ok but if the lower unit is rented your only option is street side which we found generally available. Easy walk to shops, waterfront, restaurants, bars etc. Grocery shopping is close as well. You will need to bring soap, shampoo and other similar personal items. Stairs are quite steep and anyone with disabilities or concerns on stairs would be challenged. Recycle and trash bin is close. For us it worked out well and we would stay here again is the bottom line.
My husband and I had a wonderful weekend in Burlington and enjoyed our stay at the Lakeview Top Floor apartment. The kitchen/living area was open and sunny, with large doors and windows looking out over the deck and beyond to Lake Champlain and the gorgeous Adirondack Mountains on the far side. It was a great spot to relax, and we also appreciated its location as our home base to explore things around town and in the nearby area. The apartment itself is furnished and appointed at a pretty minimal level. For example, we had to improvise with a chair and books to create a bedside table and there was only one pot (which didn't even have a matching lid) along with a few large woks for cooking. But overall, it was clean and quiet and comfortable enough, and we were happy to call it home for the few days we were in town.
This was a nice central location. It was not as well stocked with household items as other places. It was difficult to cool down as the air was not in a central location. Parking on the street is limited, but there is one space for the unit.
Well kept, clean, and tons of lakefront windows. We plan to return and recommend this property. Sitting on the huge deck each morning and evening were highlights. Couple of minor things which prevented 5 Stars: 1) Parking: The driveway fits two cars parked end to end. Be prepared to juggle cars with the tenants below. Street parking is difficult. 2) There was no auto drip coffee maker and some simple kitchen items like pot holders and a serrated knife. The kitchen does have 2 woks which made cooking fun one night. Highly recommend this property.
The highlights of this property are the location and deck overlooking the lake. The apartment is spacious with a nice large kitchen. It has a washer and dryer on site. The downsides are that there really isn't much to work with in the kitchen if you want to cook your own food, and it overall has kind of a dorm feel to it(like a college kid lives there) particularly the bedroom and the living room. When we arrived the apartment hadn't been cleaned and I reached out to the property owner. He did offer to forego the cleaning fee if we did our own laundry. We were willing to do this, but we couldn't actually clean as there were no cleaning products on site. He did eventually give us a discount on the first night, but did not offer. This left us a little frustrated as we literally have only a couple of days of vacation time and we weren't planning on using that short time to do someone else's laundry and clean.(this is why we use HomeAway in the first place!)
We are in Burlington often and this is one of the best places we’ve stayed. Apartment is nicely appointed, clean and has an amazing view of the lake from the living spaces and the deck. Highly recommend, we’ll likely be back!
This upstairs apartment makes for the perfect spot for one or two people to find short term rental Nirvana. It was clean and we'll furnished. There is a neverending kaleidoscope of colors and often spectacular sunsets that meet your eyes from the deck or thru the French doors. Downtown Burlington is a 15 minute walk, none of it uphill. The Lakefront is an 10 minute walk, down a foot traffic only road, nearby. We will rent here, again, this summer.
