GREAT AREA, Safe, No Crime! This is two, 4 bedroom homes in Arabi. Arabi is in St. Bernard Parish (County). Arabi has a superior law enforcement that does not tolerate crime. When you stay in Arabi, you can go enjoy all of the fun things that New Orleans has to offer, but you return to sleep in Arabi without any worries of someone breaking into your house or car. Also, you can safely walk the streets at night in this neighborhood. Don't take a chance. Have a crime free vacation by staying at this house!
This is a beautifully restored home four miles from the French Quarter. Very safe neighborhood. Plenty of Parking. Also, very close to a boat launch which offers the best fishing in the country. Stay an extra day or two. Bring a boat or charter a fishing captain and go fishing.
The house has 4 king beds. There are 3 full baths and a half bath. We completed remodeling the house in July 2014. Next door is a another house with 4 king beds and 3.5 baths. We completed remodeling the second house in February, 2020. We have central air and heat and a washer/dryer in the house. The house has a nice porch table and chairs. The front porch is a nice place to sit in the afternoons with sun setting behind the house. From the porch, you can watch the cruse liners, paddle boats and cargo ships go up and down the Mississippi river. This is Southern relaxation at it's best. The French Quarter is 10-15 minutes away.
New Orleans is three blocks away. The French Quarter is four miles from this location.
Keywords: house, home
The bedrooms need shelves/chests of drawers to store clothing.
Larry did a great job communicating with us when we had problems. Beds are big and comfy and home is clean and spacious. Despite close proximity to French Quarter, I was a bit concerned about the neighborhood safety for a family, but we never went walking out at night.
If you are nit picky you might not enjoy your stay here. We loved getting to have a place to relax away from all the craziness. We would stay again.
House was great. Had a group of 8. The house has so much room in the dinner and kitchen area. Wish I would had my cornhole broads.
Though Larry's place isn't in New Orleans proper, it's really better because it has a neighborhood feel and is really close to everything you could want to experience. His place is spacious, cozy, well-furnished and just a splendid place.
We enjoyed our stay.
Easy to work with. Good, timely communication.
Renting was super simple and the owner was accessible and very responsive and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.
We had a wonderful time! The house is beautiful, and well maintained. Tons of room, and all the amenities that we needed! The beds are very comfortable! Larry was great! Uber was available anytime we needed it! The Arabi market was great for breakfast or lunch. Highly recommend this property.
Had a great time! House was spacious and loved the charm / decor. We used Uber a lot because parking was difficult and expensive. Had great takeout breakfast from Arabi market. Hot water was sparse in the 2 front bedroom / bathrooms. Could also use some type of shelving in the bathrooms. We would love to come back to your awesome city! Thank you
Despite 3 loudly barking dogs our first morning there, I’d still stay here again. Was a beautiful home with comfortable king beds for all of us!
A pleasant perspective of life beyond the typical NOLA experience. We loved it!
Pros- This was a nice antique home. We had the perfect space for our party. The neighborhood was nice. We even took a walk in the neighborhood and came across the beautiful levee. We was able to see the boats going by playing live music and the wind from levee was nice. Cons- NO(code) instructions on how to get into the home when we arrived. I had to call VRBO and they was able to give me the code. I had called & emailed the owner 1st but no response until hours later. When the owner did respond through text, it was NO hello I am sorry for the delay and welcome to my home/New Orleans. No greeting at all. We had really small ants by the stove and going up the wall behind the stove. We only seen them when we cooked. So if you stay here don't leave any food out not even for a second. Now for my BIGGEST complaint, we did NOT have any HOT water to shower in while we was there. After contacting the owner Larry he sent a plumber out. He did something and we had hot water in my bathroom sink but not the shower. He sent the plumber back out and come to find out the hot water tank went out. They was supposed to replace it but I guessed they never did because they hooked up another line or tank from the another unit that is attached to the house we were in. I continued to communicate with the owner that the showers were still not getting hot. The last thing they did, the water only got barley luke warm. My cousins that shared the hallway bathroom said their shower finally got hot and that was like after we have been there for some days but the showers in the bedrooms never did get hot. I didn't like that at ALL!!! Even on our last night i informed the owner that the showers was still not getting hot and he NEVER communicated again with me. Bad service overall. sidenote- when I met the owner Larry he seemed to be a nice guy and he brought us some cold cut sandwiches. I guess as an I am sorry. That was on the second day of our stay. We stayed 4 nights without hot water in the showers of the bedroom bathrooms. Once he fixed that issue this would be an awesome place to stay at. However, who want to pay over a thousand and something dollars and not have the basic things you need like hot water. I feel he should have compensated us some of our money back for this. Just my opinion. If the shoe was on the other foot I am sure he would feel the same way. Overall we still enjoyed being in New Orleans!
Overall wonderful experience
The owner Larry was great! Very attentive and professional! We had plenty of space!
We were very comfortable and safe (8 people ). I love my stay at the home. It was July 2010 clean and easy access to the French Quarters. The home made my vacation stay exquisite and pleasurable . We would love to stay in the home again. Thank you Mr.Landry for the use of your beautiful home.
The house was very clean and in a good location. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms could use a towel bar and the bedrooms could use a few shelves. We were not able to find a sharp knife in the kitchen. The dishes were spare and very heavy. The two bathrooms en suite could use a mat for the tubs...very slippery. There were no smoke detectors.
This property was all it was advertised to be and more. It was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. We stayed with a group of girlfriends and had such a good time on our NOLA adventure. If returning, we all agreed this is the place we'd stay in again. Highly recommended!!!!
We enjoyed our stay. We used uber to get back and forth to French Quarter. The house is located in a nice area with plenty of room for large families .
House was beautiful and well taken care of. I would rent this house again in a heart beat. Owner was very kind and accommodating
The house is way bigger than the pictures let you believe. There were four couples (8 people total) and everyone had ample space to move around. We spent afternoons all sitting at the table playing games before Ubering into the French quarter for a night out. Mr. Larry was always quick to respond and was super accommodating prior to check in. Overall, we are definitely wanting to rent the house again next March when we come back to NOLA. It’s become our new tradition.
Nice, quiet neighborhood. House was clean, comfortable and very well furnished. Easy access to to all things New Orleans. Will definitely stay again if available for our next trip.
Great location, clean house and we loved the way the place is updated but kept some of old architecture inside! No issues what so ever!
We had a great time at 322 Friscoville. The house was very comfortable and had everything needed. The home is located in a nice quiet neighborhood. The Arabi Food Store located just down the street is convenient and has excellent food. I highly recommend this home.
House was Clean, well-equipped, beautifully decorated, spacious, and ample parking. We loved staying here with our family. We we close to downtown and the French Quarters, Getting to the venues was easy.
We went to NO to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday with several friends. The house was perfect for all of us with private bathrooms and a quite and safe neighborhood. There was 7 of us all together and everyone loved the house! We had such a great time down at Bourbon Street and the location was perfect just a short drive to the French Quarter using Lyft. I would recommend this location and home to anyone going to NO!
Our experience was very good, however there was construction going on in the upstairs portion of the house while we were staying there so it was not very relaxing to be at the house until nighttime when the workers would leave. I’m sure this won’t be case when the unit is finished. We just happened to catch the house at the wrong time. Overall I highly recommend this house and this area. We were far enough outside of NOLA to enjoy some peace and quiet and only maybe 10 minutes from the Bywater area and 15 from bourbon. This is a up and coming area and we felt very safe.
Loved the house, the location was perfect! Great neighborhood. We enjoyed morning coffee on the front porch in the sunshine. Then on the side porch in the afternoon for tea, or glass of wine. SImply wonderful and relaxing! Walked around the neighborhood one day, and down to the levee to the great Missississippi river. This is a fantastic neighborhood! Since we were here over Christmas we enjoyed the neighbors' decorations, music, and Christmas spirit!! Very quiet at night--the beds are super comfy and everyone had a king sized bed. Everyone slept so comfortably. We had everything we needed here. Lovely home. Would recommend this house to future New Orleans guests.
Stayed Thanksgiving week. Great place for a family. Everyone enjoyed having their own bedroom, with king size beds and 3.5 bathrooms. Lovely old home. Felt safe walking in the area. Larry was very responsive and very nice. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars, was construction noise in the unit behind and street noise for the front bedroom. Great place for the family at a reasonable cost. Thanks, Larry!
My family and I came to NOLA for a wedding. This property fit the bill. Plenty of sleeping room, loads of common space to spread out. Nice to have the kitchen. Quiet neighborhood. The owner asked all the questions I had before the trip. Not a long way into French Quarter, Botanical Gardens....I recommend it.
This house is gorgeous. Just the right amount of furnishings for a large group (we were 7 total) but spacious and charming enough to give each guest a “nook” for kitchen chats, reading, tv watching or porch sittin’. The beds are large and comfy. The cooking/dine in area can also accommodate a large sit down feast. Transom windows and two porches for N’Awlins fine living! We used Uber to get to the French Quarter and our own vehicles for trips to less crowded sites. Easy and quick!
The house is very nice, clean and spacious. Wifi was not working and instructions given were poor. The owner's response is very slow. There was no bath soap in the bathrooms. It would have been nice to have some basic supplies. Overall, a good property.
STayed here for a girl's trip. Good location. We were able to get into town within 15 minutes. The house was clean and spacious so that was a huge plus. It was also great to have plenty of towels. The items I would critique include lack of tub/shower storage. There is nowhere to put soap, shampoo, body washes, etc. You have to line them up along the tub. Very inconvenient. I'm not sure why they don't provide caddies or a soap dish or something. So that was a little annoying. The bed in the front bedroom is not very comfortable but I get it, it's a rental property. Last, as pretty as the couches are in the living room, they show dirt pretty easily. Last, the trash can that sits right beside the porch is just horrible smelling. Coming and going in and out of the house we would hold our noses, it smelled so bad. It should either be moved or rinsed out at least monthly. Other than those things, it was a great value.
We Stayed at Mr. Landry Property August 16th thru the 21st. The property is well maintained and Very Clean. The Beds are comfortable and rooms are very spacious with renovated baths. The kitchen and dining areas have been renovated and has a nice open floor plan.Mr. Landry had TV's in the Family Room and All the Bedrooms. The only drawback was the TV's needed to be updated to a larger TV in the Family Room and at Least 32 inch mounted TV in each Bedroom, because of the Large Room size. The location of the House was Perfect, not to close or not too far from the French Quarters. We rented a car and was only 10 to 15 mins from the French Quarters. We will most definitely be returning to your property. Thanks for a Great Stay! Your Hospitality was Superb.
The house by itself was really good..
Will stay again. Very spacious.
We really enjoyed this house. It has been completely re-done and is very nice. We did not have any issues with anything inside the house.
This home is amazing. Really want to take it home with me. Owner is very accommodating. FYI. Bedrooms do not have dressers or closets but do have a place to hang your clothes. Some hangers available. If I come again, I will be looking at renting this house again.
I have to admit we only used the place to sleep and shower. The home was beautiful. The décor was great. It was very clean. There was lots of room for a family. It was about a 10 minute drive to the heart of the city. It was a safe and great location.
Very well cared for. Set up perfectly for guests. Owner response was always punctual and very helpful.
Working with Larry has been a pleasure, he always responded to any questions that I had.His house is great and very close to downtown New Orleans, very short drive. The house is beautiful inside and a great place to stay. One of our friends who stayed with us left their lap top and Larry went over to the house and sent it over to them. Thanks again for the extra service.
This house was perfect for a weekend get away. It fit 8 people comfortably. There is so much room in this house. Neighborhood is nice and quiet and I never felt unsafe. It was about 4 miles from bourbon street! I will definetly stay here again. Only con is that we were not able to get the WiFi to connect to our devices but that didn’t really matter since we were so busy anyways!
I had the pleasure of staying at this property with 7 of my best girl friends. The amenities were wonderful, the neighborhood was quiet yet friendly and the drive into all the action wasn’t bad. I look forward to my next girlfriends trip to New Orleans so that we can book this property!
This property was more than enough room for 8 people. Was convenient to all places we visited. Larry has something special with this property with no complaints!!
Check in was easy and we had everything we needed in the house which was nice and convenient. Would definitely stay here again. The property was also close enough to the French quarter but far enough from the noise. I do recommend!
If you're looking for a getaway, then you can stop the search here! Our family came here for a week for our Christmas get away and couldn't be happier with this home. This treasure really brings the New Orleans style to life with its elegance and traditionally authentic aesthetic. You'll feel apart of the historical city right from the comfort of your own home. This home was very clean and spacious. The location was in a nice neighborhood just outside of the city. Allowing for flexibility with your day to day adventures, as it did for ours. If you feel like going into the city for a nice dinner or partake on the signature New Orleans traditions (Gator Spotting, Haunted Cemetaries,Tours etc.) you will have no problem, as this nice neighborhood happens to be in the perfect spot. We had the pleasure of meeting the homeowner and he was very nice and accommodating. Thank you again for making this wonderful experience possible. The Williams' Family
Beautiful home about 15 minutes east of the French Quarter in a safe, quiet, pleasant neighborhood. Close to a Walmart and other markets. All the kids (ages 7 to 20) loved it and were sad to leave! There's an open lot on one side, easy parking out front, king beds in every bedroom and 3 full bathrooms, one half which is a major plus. Larry was easily accessible and responsive. We'd stay here again anytime.
Thank you again Mr. Larry! I look forward to visiting the property once again in the future.
Our stay was wonderful! The house was beautiful! Clean... bed where super comfy. Took walks thru the neighborhood felt very safe. Would definitely stay again.
My brothers and I brought our mother to NOL to view the WWII Museum. The home we stayed in was perfect for our needs. It was clean, well kept and in a very nice location, quiet and safe. We were able to walk 2 blocks and view the sunset over the city on the bank of the Mississippi River. We found a local food store/diner with an excellent local menu and friendly staff, the Arabi Diner. It was run by the son of the owner of our house. The conversation was great. I would stay here again in a heart beat.
Perfect for what we needed for a friends wknd.
Me and 6 of my friends came to new Orleans and this house was the thing going nice neighbhood the neighbors was nice and friendly I will be back here next year
my friends and I visited New Orleans for my birthday and our own girls trip...the house was perfect, very spacious, great neighborhood. The house has a mixture of original and modern that compliment it well. I would definitely recommend and reserve this property again. if you don't have a rental car, uber and lyft are available and not too pricey. we left the house each day and the highest cost was around $22 for six (we had a xl car).
The inside of the home is simply beautiful. All the bedrooms are on the same floor so no steps other than entering the home. The host Larry is always accessible and readily responds to any inquiry. When the cleaning team informed him the hpuse was low on toilet paper he brought us a pack (delivered by the Mrs) and asked if we needed anything else! The house was clean, neat, and nicely decorated. Close to the French Quarter and easily accessible. The only thing we wanted that wasn't there was placemats, portable ironing board and a blender. None of these are deal breakers in any way. We remedied the blender issue by going to Wal-Mart so we could mix wine smoothies, lol. My recommendation to home owner is purchase inexpensive placemats. They're really useful. If you're reading this review and considering booking, do it!
There were 5 ladies that stayed at the home. Nice quiet neighborhood. The home accommodated use nicely. I would definitely stay here again.
Plenty of room for 8 people. Fully stocked kitchen. Great location with local brewery were we sat on the levee and watched the ships pass by on the MS River.
Our stay at the house for Jazz Fest was perfectly comfortable. The house was clean and plenty of supplies were available to us. Since we were traveling from the DC area by plane, it was nice to arrive at a fully equipped house. The location felt safe, although the surrounding area was not necessarily scenic. We traveled to and from Jazz Fest via Lyft and Uber...the ride was about 20-25 minutes. Overall we would recommend this house to families visiting NOLA for Jazz Fest, but do leave room in your budget for the Uber and Lyft fairs!!
We were in town for a family wedding and several of us were able to stay at this property. It is a beautiful house with a great open floor plan. It was clean and well maintained. The rooms are spacious, the beds were comfy and it had an impressive number of bathrooms for this size house! We enjoyed having our breakfast on the side patio in the mornings and being so close to the levee for a good place to go for a run/walk and to see the big ships on the Mississippi. Would definitely stay here again!
We rented this lovely home for a girl's getaway week. The location was prefect, the neighborhood very safe. The home met all our needs for meals and gathering. The street noise was bothersome for the guests in the front bedroom. The cleanliness of the home was disappointing on arrival, but after speaking with the owner we received our cleaning deposit back. On arrival, we had problems with the Wifi. The owner responded promptly to our questions.
This house was PERFECT for our group! Very safe neighborhood but not too far from the French Quarter. Larry was very nice and welcoming when we got there. I would definitely recommend this house to others!
The owner was easily contacted and made himself available. The house was spacious and met the needs of 8 adults comfortably. Unfortunately the house wasn't clean.
We had a group of 7 adults stay at this property over Christmas. Everyone enjoyed the stay immensely. Nice neighborhood a couple of blocks from the river. 4 bedrooms, with comfortable beds, which pleased everyone in the group. A new, functional kitchen, fully equipped for manageable cooking. Pleasant and friendly neighbors. We had our own cars, and it was an easy drive on main roads right to the French Quarter, 11 minutes, to the downtown and Garden Districts... helpful owner. Comfortable living and dining rooms, with two porches for relaxing.
Beautiful home in safe neighborhood. Easy access to local sites. Would definitely come again. Owner was very easy to work with
I have mixed feelings on this home. The positives, very roomy, comfortable beds, big rooms in common areas. However, the house was not very clean when we arrived. The floors and furniture were very dusty, the rugs needed vacuuming, the bathrooms needed some attention. Also, everytime we used the oven we could smell gas and had to open the doors. We called the owner with our concerns, and he wasn't receptive to our issues. He refused to believe the house wasn't clean. 3 of us ladies spent over an hour cleaning the best we could with the resources we had. We got past that and had a wonderful time of course. The location wasn't ideal, could not sit on the front porch and see boats on the Mississippi as described. The grill outside was in horrible condition and the outdoor furniture wasn't usable. The neighborhood was safe and quiet however. It's a beautiful old home, but needed some TLC.
This house was perfect for our group of 4 couples. Each of the 4 rooms has a king size bed! This is very rare in rental homes and it was a big reason why we chose this house. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms are large. Since this is an older home there are no dressers or drawers to put clothes away. A little luggage stand would be nice to set your suitcase on in each room rather than have to keep it on the floor but there were hangers in each room. The kitchen is updated and very usable. The kitchen wasn't as clean as we would expect but I let Larry know about it so that he could address it with his house cleaners. As other reviewers have said, the house is pretty far away from everything that tourists are in New Orleans to see, but knowing that in advance and planning for it made it easier to handle. One of our favorite parts of the house is the front porch. After long days of tourists activities we would end up back on the porch with a beer or glass of wine and hang out to discuss the great things we did that day. Larry was great and happy to help us find transportation from the airport. Other than that we chose to use Uber to get into town. I highly recommend this house for couples traveling together or families.
Our family of eight stayed here for four nights. The house is very spacious with plenty of living space. The beds are comfortable with plenty of linens. We had two vehicles and parking was not a problem. We took daily walks around the neighborhood, finding people were friendly with us.The drive to the French Quarter was about 15 minutes away. The best place to park in the French Quarter is at Harrah's casino parking garage. Gamble for 30 minutes and parking is free. We will definitely will back to stay here. Thanks to Larry for a great stay!
The house was perfect for the 7 adults in our group. We loved the old time charm of the house and the neighborhood was great. We even commented how great it would be to rent the house for Thanksgiving some time. It was nice to have a washer/dryer. Wish we knew ahead of time that we had to park in the back. We arrived late at night and drove up and down the street trying to figure out where we were going to park, because the street was under construction. It was nice to have the owner send us an email the following day to make we were settled and if we needed anything.
The house was in great condition and included full functionality in every aspect. The house was beautiful and contained a home-away-from-home feel! The area was also very tranquil, relaxing, and the locals were also very friendly. I definitely suggest you request to book this spot if possible! It's about a 15 minute drive from Bourbon Street, but a cheap cab ride will take care of that issue without taking too much money out of your wallet (~$15 w/o gratuity). Overall, book this house, Larry was also very helpful with information when it was needed! 5 out of 5 NO QUESTION!
The home is great. Larry will answer to any request. This Year we needed festival chairs, last rental it was wine glasses. He really makes every effort to give 1000% Party of 8 was very comfortable in this home. Just sorry we never got to visit rocco's, recommended by many. It's outside the quarter, so we considered renting a car, but did fine with cabs and uber. Much better to ride than drive and try to park. A wonderful vacation, thank you Larry
Larry and his son are great and very accommodating. The home is pretty and very comfortable and the neighborhood is safe. We meet a few of the neighbors and even they were as sweet as pie too! Location wise though we wish the house was a little closer to the French quarter and other landmarks as it turned out to be costly to catch uber or a taxi to travel back and forth
This house was perfect for our group. We had 4 couples that stayed in this beautiful home. We really liked the hardwood floors, spacious, open floor plan & the quaint architectural touches. The Arabi community was very welcoming & safe. The Arabi Food Store & Cafe was an easy 3 block walk & a perfect place to grab a breakfast sandwich or beverage. Less than a mile away was a quaint little bar called Perino's. Lots of hospitality & fun & close to home. A quick ride in the Arabi Cab service & we were in the French Quarter. Arabi Cab was very timely and provided us with the opportunity to enjoy all the French Quarter had to offer! We made lots of wonderful memories on our first trip to New Orleans....many of those memories were due to our stay in this beautiful home & the surrounding area. Larry was a gracious host. I had a ton of questions for Larry before & during our trip. He was always very prompt in his reply. I plan on calling Larry on our next visit.
We couldn't be more pleased with our stay here. The house is exactly as shown in photos. The front and side porches offered plenty of places to sit and visit. The neighborhood was quiet but so friendly; people waved as the drove by! There is a corner market a short walk down the street that serves quick breakfast and a neighborhood bar around the corner for cocktails. The house is a short drive from the Quarter and all of the sights we wanted to see. Cant say enough about how friendly and accommodating the owner was. Rent this house!
Each year my sisters and I have a family retreat and this year it was here. There were nine of us this year and a good time was had by all. Beautiful house, fabulous location, reasonably priced and one of the nicest men as a landlord you could ever hope to meet. Larry is a great guy who made our stay there really comfortable. We stayed 5 days and wished we could have stayed much longer. We ate at Carlos and Rocky's which Larry recommended and it was delicious. Coffee on the side porch in the mornings and a cold beer on the front porch in the afternoons was one of the highlights of our trip. The pictures can't really show the perfection of this house. We will stay here again and again for years to come.
I actually got my dates mixed up - was supposed to arrive on Friday, however my family and I traveled to New Orleans a day earlier. When I discovered my mistake we were in Baton Rouge. I called Mr. Landry and he graciously allowed us to check in a day early! The really was a blessing because we were able to rest up a day before all activities began. I HIGHLY recommend this property!! We were all very pleased with the house and grounds. The pictures do not do justice to the home. We were just a short drive to the French Quarter and the quiet neighborhood was well appreciated. Sitting out on the back porch drinking coffee in the morning and visiting in the evening was so peaceful! I will definitely look to reserve this house again on any trip I plan to make in the future!
I cannot rave enough about this property, the owner, and the neighbors. We were fortunate enought to stay for 3 days and I soo wish we could have stayed longer. The home looks exactly as the pictures do, everything was so clean and there were fresh gardenia's in vases when we arrived. We sat on the porches at night and visited with the neighbor and got to hear the ships coming in on the river. Taxi service was great coming and going to the property and the fair was cheap. I would recommend this home to anyone, hope you all have as wonderful of an experience as we did!
I am about to rent one of Mr. Landry's houses again this year because we had such a comfortable stay here last year! Everything in the house was as good or better than advertised on the overview! Like other reviewers said the house is a hair less than 20$ with tip included. There is a restaurant on the same street less than 1/4 mile away that sells great po boys! Finally the house is in a very quiet safe area which is a perfect place to be after a night of being out on the town
Beautiful luxury property in safe neighborhood. Joined 2 other couples with teens for Mardi Gras weekend. Street parking and rear lot for overflow. Cab ride to French Market/ Quarter only costs $20 w/tip. Owners nephew one house down, met us on day one, owner (Larry) stopped by on last day to see how we liked everything. We all ate at Old Arabi Eats - half mile walk, lively local establishment, check it out. We will be back in August just to enjoy the front porch and beautiful décor.
This house is amazing, so beautifully decorated and spacious. The beds are super comfy, and everything you could need is there. Nice friendly neighbourhood. Was nice to be away from the crowds of the French Quarter (we were there over NYE), but close enough to get in amongst it when we wanted to. Larry is extremely helpful, and goes over and beyond expectations. On our one month trip we stayed in 8 different accommodations, mostly through VRBO, and this was by far the best. Thoroughly recommended.
The house was large, decorated very well. Customer service excellent. I would re-commend to friends. Nice restaurant just down the street.
When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised, everything was as it stated. Beautiful and clean home. Property well maintained. Nice and quiet area. Friendly neighbors. We used public transportation (i.e., bus, trolleys, taxi) so everything was in pretty good distance. Eating establishments, sightseeing is what we came to do and we did. There was an area restaurant (Jack Dempsey's) that we frequented and the food was great!. Would recommend this property very highly and the owner (Larry) came to visit us and even brought us food (shrimp po boys, yum). He was very hospitable and welcomed us to his home. Would definitely rent this property and highly recommend it.
This house is fantastic! It was like staying in a luxury HGTV home. Property was clean, spacious and each large room afforded sooo much privacy. Exquisitely decorated, well appointed kitchen with new appliances. Location was great for us. Away from the hustle, noise and cost of New Orleans - staying Arabi was an excellent choice. The home was a quiet, safe retreat. Another note that we must mention. The property owner was superb. He provided true concierge service, beyond our expectations. He was always very quick to respond by text or phone and very accommodating. We will always remember this NOLA get away, and will definitely stay at this house again...you should too!
The apartment is in the perfect location to visit the Quarter. It is far enough away to be quiet at night, and just a 10 minute walk to Jackson square. The apartment is VERY clean and well kept with recent renovations. There was easy communication with the owner, and he could not have been more hospitable. He helped me with internet access despite my technical problems, and made the whole process easy. I would definitely rent this property again.
My husband and I couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. This is the second time I have stayed in this building (I stayed in the larger unit upstairs with a bigger group a year ago) and we selected it, in large part, because we knew it was about two blocks from the clubs on Frenchman Street and a quick walk to the quarter. I also knew, based on my prior experience, that the owner is a breeze to deal with. He is very friendly and accommodating, returns calls promptly, etc. This time, he made it extremely easy for us to tack on an extra night when we decided we weren't ready to go home! The condo itself is very clean and because it was recently remodeled, everything is pretty much brand new. This condo is absolutely perfect for music loving couples such as ourselves.
Perfect location and very comfortable apartment. My girlfriend and I love to frequent Frenchmen street at night and walk the quarter by day--and this spot felt like a home away from home. We were able to park on the street and the location allowed us to walk to everything. Larry was understanding and easy to work with. Will be staying here again as soon as we can!!
Our daughter's friends came to town for her wedding, and they couldn't have been happier with their stay at this sweet little suite! The property was just as described--neat, clean, tidy and comfortable--and it easily accommodated four adults. The location was perfect, too. There was no need for any of them to have cars--they easily walked to restaurants, clubs and music venues all over Marigny. When one of them had a question, Larry was happy to address it. Making the reservation and arrangements was simple, and Larry was easy as pie to work with. I'll definitely recommend this property to friends and family.
My wife and I stayed here over a weekend for a wedding anniversary. We were very happy with this apartment. The description and photos are accurate, and the unit is nicely appointed. It has a nice bathroom, comfortable bed, and a kitchen with modern appliances. The area was quiet at night, yet there are nearby 24 hour a day bars and restaurants nearby if you aren't looking for a quiet night. We had a car, and street parking is not a problem. We used our car a couple of times and were always able to park within a two blocks. While the parking is easy, you would be completely fine here without a car. Frenchman Street is just a couple blocks away, and the French Quarter is a short walk as well. There are great neighborhood bars, restaurants, and coffee shops sprinkled throughout the area as well. Working with the owner Larry was smooth and straight forward. My wife and I will stay here again, and refer friends and family to Larry as well.
My family and I just got back from a long weekend in NOLA. We were so lucky to have found this little gem! It is newly renovated, so clean and has all of the amenities we needed, plus some. My husband, my two kids (ages 5 and 1) and I had plenty of room--we slept in the bedroom, my 5 year old on the sofa bed and there was plenty of room for the 1 year old's pack and play in the living room. Plus plenty of room for all of the gear that comes along with traveling with two small children--we never felt cramped. My little girl loved that the mule-drawn carriages clomped down the street right outside our door every morning and evening on their way to work in the quarter. EVERYTHING was easily within walking distance (the quarter, plenty of little markets and restaurants in the Marigny (especially on Frenchmen)) but just far away enough from the bustle of Bourbon to be family-friendly. Plus, Larry and his family are simply a joy and personify what Southern Hospitality is all about! We can't wait to get back to the Big Easy and will definitely stay in another of Larry's properties!
