My family and I enjoyed our stay in this charming, older home. The kids got a kick out of the older features, such as the button light switches, and the grownups enjoyed the hot tub and kitchen. Fenced in yard was perfect for the kids and our dog. Seth was quick to respond to any questions. Note the steps upstairs are very steep and narrow and may be difficult for anyone with a mobility issue or small kids. Overall, a great stay in a cute home close to lots of attractions.
We had the most wonderful stay at Seth’s home. It was clean, comfortable, charming and even better than described. Such a neat mix of tradition and modern with cool nature-y furniture. We spent a lot of time melted into the amazing couch, the sunroom and the hot tub. Seth was super responsive and collaborative in all our planning. The location is great. We took walks with our kids to the playground and park, and the nearby bakery. Thank you Seth!
With many rooms and lots of charm, was a great place to go to get away with family. Hot tub was great. Barbecue was well used. Foosball was fun. Convenient to all the great towns in the Berkshires.
Enjoyed a girls weekend and had a wonderful time. The property is perfect for a get together. We spent much of our time on the deck in the hot tub. The deck and fence provided plenty of privacy. Beautiful area to explore and a clean, quirky home to come back to.
We have stayed at this residence many times before and are more and more pleased with it each time! Clean with thoughtful amenities (in this case charming St. Valentine's decorations), the location is good and there is room for all of us! Thanks Seth & C for all your hard work!
Convenient location. Beautifully clean and spacious house. There were a lot of house plants that made the place seem very inviting. Seth was very easy and accommodating to work with!
Wanted to get away for a few days with my college buddies in the Berkshires and came across this wonderful property. So glad we booked it! Everything is exactly as described, but you have to be in the house to realize how charming it is. Kitchen is completely updated. Hot tub was a bonus (we visited in November). The house had everything we needed and the owner was very responsive to all my questions and concerns. There were only four of us during the trip, but obviously we could fit a few more in the house (maybe next year!) The surrounding town was equally as charming with a bakery, grocery and bar and grill within walking distance. Highly recommend!!!
Staying at this house is always great: Seth is nice to work with and accommodating, the house is lovely year round; clean and with many amenities. We look forward to staying here!
The house was comfortable and spotless! Easy drive to downtown Great Barrington and terrific restaurants. I highly recommend going to Pleasant and Main Cafe for breakfast: which is just a 2 minute walk from the house!
This was the perfect location and house for my and my brother's family to stay while visiting my mom in Great Barrington. We had 3 kids, aged 3-7, and my sister also stopped by with her 2 kids. There was a separate TV room where kids could hang out, games, and kids books, as well as a ping pong table that was a big hit. Adults really enjoyed the garden patio room. Kitchen was great for cooking although we were a little confused by the oven at first. Enough beds for everyone. I have Verizon and didn't have cell reception, so that's something to keep in mind, but wifi worked fine. It was hot while we visited, so air conditioning was appreciated. It is a historic home -- main quirk to be aware of with young kids is to keep the upstairs windows closed because they are lower than normal. Overall, we had a great stay and will be back!
All in all an enjoyable experience. Would come again!
We enjoyed our time together in this house. Even though it's clearly an older home, the kitchen and bathrooms have been renovated with more modern updates. It was roomy enough for all six of us and we were able to do a lot of cooking in the kitchen. We were all able to fit comfortably on the couch and watch TV at night. The hot water came and went when showering though. Overall pleasant stay.
My husband, 5-year-old and our dog stayed here with my parents and in-laws. Everyone was comfortable and the beds were wonderful to sleep on. When my parents showed up ahead of schedule Seth was very welcoming in spite of being in the midst of cleaning from the previous guests and he made them feel at home. The location was also great!
We love staying at this house: the beds are roomy and comfortable, the kitchen large and easy to use, and the living spaces pretty and accommodating! Housatonic is close to town and the farms and stores we frequebt while visiting the area.
We rented this lovely Housatonic home with family for a long weekend; the house was both spacious and cozy, the kids loved the steps and tv room! The furniture, if you are into antique furniture, is fabulous! The beds were comfortable with enough pillows. The kitchen had lots of equipment. The grounds were well kept and the house was tidy! We would definitely stay there again!
The house is very clean. It has a lot of charm. The first morning there was no heat or hot water. It was a particularly cold morning outside. We spoke to the owner and we went to the basement, hit a switch and eventually we had both heat and hot water. It was a very small inconvenience and the issue was resolved quickly. We were very comfortable in the house and it had a great kitchen for cooking. We would stay there again! Thanks Seth!
Thank you, Seth! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your comfortable and well apportioned home. It was a pleasure to meet you as we were heading out and hopefully we'll have occasion to stay again sometime in the future. Thanks, again!
We had five members of our team in this house for a month and the place was perfect for us. Comfortable beds, a nice place to do yoga and relax, a hot tub for the evening, and a ping-pong table to unwind after a day at the office. In addition to that, we were able to walk to the river, up to a trail up the mountain and to a couple local cafes and bakeries. Really nice. The host was always very responsive and went out of his way to help meet our needs. Thanks!
