Looking for a place to relax and truly get away from it all? Welcome to Wakulla Beach! Located 3 miles down a dirt road, this coastal cottage is tucked deep inside the St. Mark's National Wildlife Refuge. The surrounding wilderness ensures clear skies, dark nights, and peaceful solitude.
Unobstructed views of the Gulf allows for quiet relaxation on the large screened porch. French doors in the Family Room and both bedrooms ensure that all rooms can enjoy the Gulf view.
House was clean, furnished beautifully, and the views off the covered back porch were fantastic. We enjoyed watching the wildlife and the sunsets! It was the perfect getaway weekend. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you would need to cook a meal. We did not cook all our meals, just breakfast, we went out for our daily adventures and enjoyed the local restaurants. Plenty of activities to do in the area. We will be back and hopefully for a longer stay next time.
This beach cottage is exactly as advertised and in a perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. It was clean, well furnished, and had everything we needed to prepare and cook meals. But the best part was the porch and the views. We had planned to do more activities in the area but it was hard to leave the tranquility of the porch. It is a great spot to observe and listen to the local wildlife. Highly recommend staying here!
Quiet, relaxing weekend in a beautiful setting. Would love to have stayed longer! Loved the house and the view.
This cottage is well kept and clean. It is situated in St. Mark's nature preserve. The views from the porch are amazing. Great for nearby hikes and kayaking.

If you're looking for a quiet stay in a beautiful setting, this is a wonderful place. Highly recommended for its natural beauty all around.
enjoyed our stay at this beach cottage. was like living in a nature preserve. house was very clean, comfortble and furnished in antique beach cottage style. screen porches were gigantic!
We had a wonderful stay at Danielle's property on Wakulla Beach Road. The house was beautifully located looking over the marsh to the bay. Mornings started with only the sound of birdsong, and evenings ended with crickets and a sky blanketed by stars. It was a welcome beginning and end for us, as we were looking for an antidote to the noise and hustle of city life. The fact that the house is old, about a hundred years, and was decorated in keeping with its age was a real treat for us. The furnishings were comfortable, functional, and attractive, and the beds were supportive without being too firm. We mostly cooked at the house, and the pots, pans, and dishware were sufficient for simple meal preparation. The knives were sharp which made meal preps so much easier. We had breakfast every morning on the screened-in porch, enjoying the view and the quiet. The area is a nature-lover's treasure with many rivers, springs, and hiking opportunities. The claw-foot tub is a little tricky to bathe in as it's small and the shower nozzle is hand-held, so not conducive to long, luxurious bathing, but that was fine with us, as conserving water in the marsh ecosystem seems the responsible thing to do. Danielle was a pleasure to work with, and check-in and out were very easy. We had a great time and are planning to return!
This was a place of my dreams. The cabin is the ultimate find if you love the real Florida , wide open views , relaxing back porches and antique charm. The road in (Wakulla Beach) is gorgeous and off the beaten path . The hike to the Cathedral of Palms and Shepard’s spring is right down the road a couple of miles . It’s is amazing in the cool and dry months, but make time for about 6-7 miles and do your trail research . Wakulla beach is a stones throw down the road , great sunset spot - but why leave that lovely back porch at all ? Bugs (mosquitoes and noseeyums) would be prevalent in the warm months , bug spray is needed if you go out to explore - but again - the screened in back porch takes care of that worry while enjoying the views out the back . We were not bothered by any bugs until the last morning of our stay. We fell in love with this place ! We felt so at peace here and will definitely return!
We enjoyed our stay at the beach cottage. Owners were clear that they wanted us to be comfortable.
